The back four of Valle, Trusty, Welsh, Ralston had never started a game together (not even a friendly) prior to Sunday The front three of Palma, Idah, Forrest, I don't think has ever started a game together either. I take James' point that Falkirk do deserve credit and played the way that is optimal to get something against Celtic. HOWEVER, how effective do we think Falkirk would have been against a full strength Celtic or if the above back four/front three had a few games together under their belts? I agree Falkirk deserve credit but I think Celtic gave a performance of a team with 8 changes in it and a back four/front three that have never played together. Don't get me wrong, I believe these changes were necessary and they were worth the risk of going out the LC in order to get some game time for our fringe players. We will get injuries/suspensions at some stage this season and we don't want to be bringing in guys who've played zero minutes. So the Falkirk game had to be used (IMHO) to get some game time for the likes of Valle, Palma, Ralston, Trusty etc...
Laura’s comment on how it looked like Falkirk were tiring toward the end of the first half is spot on. I commented to a friend after the game that this reminded me so much of the game vs Real Madrid in the Champions League under Ange where Celtic had the better chances in the first half (Kyogo missing a sitter; McGregor hitting the post) and went into halftime 0-0 with a lot of belief that they could actually get a result. The second half, and particularly the last 30 minutes, were a completely different story though as Celtic tired in that game and Real Madrid’s quality really took over. Even though Celtic were down 2-1 on Sunday at halftime, I had a sneaky suspicion that Falkirk would tire out, both physically and mentally, in the 2nd half and Idah or Kyogo would hit them for a couple goals.
Excellent podcast, even with one on the treatment table, with the Jota v Kuhn comparisons 🤷🏻♂️. With someone of my age I don’t think these are of any value, remember Jinky is the high bar for any winger at Celtic Park .HH
Another contributor talking about Real Madrid & Falkirk in the same paragraph & now you talking about ''Jota v Kuhn'' & Jinky in your two line comment & so not wanting to feel left out, I would have a Starfelt or a Julien before a Trusty every single day of the week & how on earth was it Welsh was picked ahead of Nawrocki for the visit of Falkirk?????

Who uses the term shoot their wad I a podcast. Sort it out
It's a gambling term.
I know it has another connotation but - "all's pure in the mind of the pure" as they say
@Mantis_Toboggan_MD. it's valid in both scenarios so still not good
@@EdEdinburgh-h3k If that's where your mind immediately went, then that's your issue and no-one else's.
sort yourself out…. xxx
Well it made me chortle a bit😁
Isn’t it great that we’re playing the semi final at 5:30 on a Saturday with a Champions League game on the Tuesday 😡
