Hi! May I ask why you chose to use varnish for the napkin instead of glue? Also, why didn’t you use a rice paper print over a napkin? If you had used rice paper would you still cover the entire jar first and then put the rice paper on? And last, can you use the varnish with the rice paper? I guess I’m Trying to understand the reason for varnish unless it is to be the final protective coat on your project. Thank you for you’re amazing videos I’m such a (quiet) big fan, and for answering all my questions. Blessings to you ❤
There will be less wrinkles if you use varnish instead of glue. Napkins are very thin and you need to glue them on top of the rice paper, if you glue on glass image will not be visible. If you are going to use rice paper image glue it first and then cover the rest of the jar with white paper. I varnish finished work to protect it and harden the paper as unvarnished will come off.
Hello Aggies, I love your video’s, wonderful. But I have a question. 🤔 if I let everything dry after applying the napkin. Then I paint it further with acrylic paint. Inleg it dry again. If I then apply an acrylic varnish, my napkin dissolves.😳🤔Why does that happen, what am I doing wrong.... thanks in advance
This is very please! My question was exactly about whether this jar could be used, not only as a candle holder (tea party candle), but also as a candle container. Will the paper be affected as the candle melts due to the temperature? Thank you in advance!
Thanks for tutorial. It's very pretty🙂 Regards from Poland❤
Beautiful~❣️ I appreciate the tip of using varnish rather than glue to apply napkin. I'll give that a try! Thank you~💐
This is a beautiful project!
I love the varnish trick. There are so many pretty napkins but it is a challenge to get a nice smooth look with them. Love your woek and artistry.
So good to see you and your wonderful activities. Thanks for sharing. Be blessed.

No you can not use varnish with rice paper as it is to thick.
Hi Aggie, wonderful! what use can I give to the other plain 2 ply of napkin, thanks

Sorry for late reply. You must use white spirit on your glass first to clean it and then use acrylic primer suitable for glass.

I will make some pictures in the evening with candle inside the lantern and I will post pictures on both Instagram and Facebook.
