You have 66k subscribers and every video you get about 50k views - which means anyone who comes across your channel and subscribes pretty much watches every video you make (myself included). That is the best sign of a channel in my opinion. I’ve never seen anyone do this!!
I swear, yours are the ONLY videos that I'm never tempted to skip forward 15 seconds. I enjoy every juicy magnafiqua morsel! The sooner you have 1,000,000 subscribers, the sooner there'll be 1,000,000 happier people on the planet.
Indignant shart almost choked me on my birthday. I enjoy these videos so much. Thankyou for sharing your shots and your talent and humour. Just fantasique
What you consider a failure I consider an absolute win, that shot is amazing with or without light. Us as landscape photographers we are always chasing the light, but sometimes a gloomy shot is just as impressive in my opinion

Great video as always Gavin! Your sense of humor is what makes your videos the best on the niche of nature photography (IMO)! The last shot actually turned out to be a very nice image!
I nearly fell out of my chair laughing when you felt you needed to grab the ground to stop sliding down the slope putting on your pants :-D :-D :-D I still wonder what the weight of that back pack was during that steep climb.
You just keep outdoing yourself with the Vlogs this year! Just the perfect combo of entertainment, genuinely hilarious comedy and photography behind the scenes. Seeing a new upload from you has become a thing to look forward to every week. Keep it up mate!
Woooaah!! Now that is a location!! Reminds me of standing on Cadair Idris last January! It was absolutely freezing! Well that is a bit of an understatement! Trying to get those waterproofs on looked like a bit of a challenge on the edge of the mountain! 😬 This was a great video. Loved the images, expecially with some of the light! What a shot Gav! Looks like you both froze up there but that's all part of the fun of being a landscape photographer! Keep up the great work! Look forward to the next adventure!
What a view! I really liked the shot with Brent. As a pano of the area with Brent maybe be even better. Like you said, only half the story. Nice chasm! 😉😁 Really fun video and like the music! Cheers Gavin!
That location truly would be awesome (with Gavin Hardcastle) if the light had popped through.. the shot at 19:20.. curious to see how it would be flipped to B&W and punch the dark/light contrast. i would trek as you equipment mule just to get up to that first location.. what a spot.. kudos to Brent for sharing it..
Your vlogs are just always a highlight for me! Soo funny, great photography and great storytelling! And the good vibes and companionship, alwyas feel like having a beer with you folks! Really appreciate your work keep going!! Greez from Switzerland
Epic as usual and full of smiles :) and when so called bad pictures (not that they are) with a view like that it really doesn't matter! Oh and on the early subject I always thank mother nature for what she gives me! Thanks Gavin
A new upload seems like a good opportunity to let you know that its been a few days since i discovered the channel and have been on a fototripper run! Really inspiring and funny content brother. Greetings from 🇧🇩
Those folding bowls (and their cups) are awesome, though might have been a bit of a liability up there in the wind... luckily you had that book there to weigh it down!
I love the moody feel to the last image. It's probably more what the mountains are than the bright happy sunny views that would normally be shot. It would be interesting in black and white as someone said earlier.
Rituals before going out shooting? Yeah and perhaps you should pass this one on to Adam, I make sure I do a poo before leaving home. Nothing worse then being all backed up hiking up a mountain or even worse, on a public beach (no trees to hide behind). Oh and also double checking my bag for spare batteries (even though I don't shoot with those Sony battery munchers). Of cause none of that helps the light but the poo does make me feel lighter. Better luck next time Gav even though I think your a lucky bugger to be able to visit these awesome locations.
I’m not too keen on standing up high on that mountain slope, but I’d pay dearly for a rainy and foggy shot along the lake with that peak in the background!
Always enjoy your content. In fact, i just ordered the Eos R5, 70 200 2.8, and the 24 70 2.8 to go along with my already owned 16 35.... I blame You, Peter Mckinnon, Thomas Heaton, Uncle Grumpy, and my love for Photography for my doom when my lady finds out how much that recent purchase was lol.
I can read the headlines now: "Famous (?) photographer slides down mountain attempting to put on his skinny pants". Haha. Seriously, looked unnerving for a second there. I'll take a bad day two if day one gave me that shot you had of the 3 km ray of light. Your Italian is improving! Great video as always! Too bad I can't get a book of your work....
Excellent video and photographs despite the conditions. It must be very frustrating to not get the conditions when you've put all that effort into finding a good viewpoint. (On a separate note - Congratulations on your marriage to Amanda).
Your photographs are really extraordinary! I actually would like to see them in a kind of a coffee table book or so. Do you ever think of writing a book? I guess a lot of people woud buy it!
Fun video as always. Congrats on your nuptials. No ritual or superstitions here. Whether it’s your intent or not, you are a great promoter of BC and the Canadian west.
Fantastique locations Gavin. Looking forward to see some photos when the light isn't that shambaliqua... By the way, that book has become pretty handy.
Seven layers is a lot. No wonder you had problems getting your pants on, lol. I would be putting on lots of layers too to keep from getting cold. Even though you didn't get the light you wanted the shots you got are beautiful. Thanks for putting smile on my face.
Wow, saw it before 100 thumbs up ! that's pretty early for me... oh, wait - this isn't Gibb's channel is it? ;) Wishing you better light in the next video - you were troopers to wait for it to show up !
Some how with the music I had this image of you doing a really swinging Michael Flatley Irish dance in a kilt on that first plateau. I sure hope youre enjoying that Fuji system. Id love a crack at one but Mrs A says no chance. So I guess Ill go make some coffee .....wait is that a book?
My ritual is looking out the window remembering I live in Cumbria and more than likely it's going to chuck it down. Even if it says clear skies for the day. Have a look at one of those pack away emergency shelters to chuck in your bag for next time you are up somewhere like that.
I wrote a book: www.fototripper.com/chasing-awe-landscape-photography-book-gavin-hardcastle/
No way! Why you had never mentioned it in your videos?!
Taking a big dump just before a shoot does indeed clear my mind. ;-)
If 32 of the photos are from Adam Gibbs and 16 from Brent, I’m definitely ordering a copy!!
Gavin liked my comment!!! YES!!!!
Gavin can you get Adam and Brent to like it?? 🤣

Glad to see them coming weekly again! Really appreciate your work!
Love the humor and of course the photo tips and images ! !
Hanging out with Brent seems like a lot of work.
Soooo many laughs in this! 😂 And what a view! Thanks for sharing with us, man!
That last shot, so full of atmosphere, the colour palette was perfect. That large mountain just visible enough to evoke a sense of awe and mystery...
So much fun to watch.
Great when Brent is in the vids - always class to watch - cheers Gavin 👍
Indignant shart almost choked me on my birthday.
I enjoy these videos so much.
Thankyou for sharing your shots and your talent and humour.
Just fantasique
Happy Birthday!
Great video again, and Brent is such a nice guy.
Entertaining humor and "AWE"some photographic work.
ENJOYING the sound of the wind.....Had to stop the video and bundle up...thick socks..cup of coffee, fire going in the fire place.
Wow the top of that mountain. Lol at the amount of layers.thanks Gavin..and the Mrs. too.
You didn`t fail because you saw some wonderful vistas.
Keep chasing. The awe will reveal itself ( when the light shows up). ☺️👍
What you consider a failure I consider an absolute win, that shot is amazing with or without light. Us as landscape photographers we are always chasing the light, but sometimes a gloomy shot is just as impressive in my opinion
Great video as always Gavin!

Another awesome video Gavin. I would chew my own face off to have such incredible scenery like that where I am 💙
I nearly fell out of my chair laughing when you felt you needed to grab the ground to stop sliding down the slope putting on your pants :-D :-D :-D I still wonder what the weight of that back pack was during that steep climb.
heavy!
Brent is awesome and omg I can’t believe you didn’t take more shots, even without the light… those mountains look epic!!!
So... there's this book I wrote www.fototripper.com/chasing-awe-landscape-photography-book-gavin-hardcastle/
Bought it 👍
I finally got my new video notifications. Thanks.

‘’No seriously, where do you think you are going?” 😂 Who knew landscape photography could be so much fun? Love this show👏🏾👍🏾🙏🏾
I think it is a beautiful shot! What a gorgeous area. Glad you are safe from slipping on the rocks!
I'm only watching to see if tom calls to burst your bubble 🤣. First class slot humour. I'll have to keep watch now 👌
Great video ....... you certainly get to see some magnificent scenery on your travels 📷👍
I love when you appear in Brent's videos.

Laugh out loud funny up there at the ‘slot’!! Great video!
So THAT'S why I don't get the good shots! I don't have a ritual. I'll have to get one.
Great work Gavin. I love your images.
my word....what snug over trousers! ;-)
Epic scenery...I so want to visit Canada now!
Listening to all the layers ou needed,, I finally ordered my t-shirts from so , so excited, thank you again...
Thanks muchly!
Entertaining light with Gavin Hardcastle 👍🎃👍

It's important to fail , but you know that .
Wow what a view too.
Great video, that view was amazing, saw yr post on insta, you both looked great, congratulations to you both, you make a fab couple.
The composition of the last picture is awesome. Great image. You cant always have the superduperlight, well you know best yourself ;)
You had me in tears with that prostate skit 🤣
Another entertains episode loved it as usual. That last shot imho would look banging as a high contrast black and white.
Good video, nice to see Brent back.
Great video... feeling the chills just by looking at it. Missing the catchphrase "Take a look at this business" though 😉
I’m not too keen on standing up high on that mountain slope, but I’d pay dearly for a rainy and foggy shot along the lake with that peak in the background!

"Would you like a beverage?"... That rolled off so easily you can tell it's a line Gavin has used many times in the past 😃
Fantastic content, as always! And what a scenery, too!
I loved the coffee book table 😁!!! Absolutely MAGNIFIQUA book table!!! 👌😁
Thanks Victor
I could have sworn Flamboyant Queef peak was in France?... Anyway excellent video again, learning a lot from your adventures!
Gavin, I love all yours: magnifico, fantastico, garbagio etc. 😂😂😂
👍🏻☺👍🏻 Really wish I had the occasion to do that type of shoot!
Omg, the punch in on Brent on the prostate check comment…dying! 🤣🤣
My friend, this is not a fail, convert the photo into a black and white and you got an awesome masterpiece.
Another awesome gem Gavin!! Thanks for a great video!
Congratulations!!! I'm sure the photographer did a fine job :)

I think you polished up a pretty good turd. I would have been delighted with that shot - it's very mysterious and Lord of the Rings-like.
Love the sense of humour.
Loving it, as always.
I expected the page of chasing awe already in the last video and it didn't came on😂 perfect timing again🔥
The ritual is: "Get in that layer trousers..."
I do tend to try not to say if I think I'm going to get some good light...I feel like it destroys my chances. Beautiful spot 👌
Brilliant as always!
You're shameless - plugging your book while making it a tray. Love the video.
Superb location .. I do hope ye did go back up again !! I think you invented some more superlatives in this one too :-)
Excellent video and photographs despite the conditions. It must be very frustrating to not get the conditions when you've put all that effort into finding a good viewpoint. (On a separate note - Congratulations on your marriage to Amanda).

Get it while it's HOT!
Nice.. : Loving the Crocodile Rock at 19:10 :)
Love it 👍can't stop 🤣🤣🤣🤣
16 of them are mine....
Never stop failing!
Just AWESOME view!!!!!!!!!!!
I love your work.
Fun video as always. Congrats on your nuptials. No ritual or superstitions here. Whether it’s your intent or not, you are a great promoter of BC and the Canadian west.
Eh up big lad. Well done as always
Clearly your fail my excellent capture… your talent is light years ahead of me. Excellent entertaining experience Mr Hardcastle and first mate Brent
Fantastique locations Gavin. Looking forward to see some photos when the light isn't that shambaliqua... By the way, that book has become pretty handy.
Multi-purpose
What a landscape. Note to self, must move to Canada.
Seven layers is a lot. No wonder you had problems getting your pants on, lol. I would be putting on lots of layers too to keep from getting cold. Even though you didn't get the light you wanted the shots you got are beautiful. Thanks for putting smile on my face.

Those fuji medium format cameras would make a great wedding gift...just saying
So lucky you had so many clothes in one place gav but what a place
My ritual is looking out the window remembering I live in Cumbria and more than likely it's going to chuck it down. Even if it says clear skies for the day. Have a look at one of those pack away emergency shelters to chuck in your bag for next time you are up somewhere like that.
You know Tribbles are an invasive species...right :) Beauiful location , thanks for showing it to us.
Get back in my chasm 😂😂😂 great video mate
You should really consider a cork cover for your next book!
While putting on my trousers I realized I had the body of an overstuffed sausage casing...
