Not often that you hear Amiga games using chipmusic, it always seemed to be more of a demoscene/cracktro thing. Great soundtrack, it's got a real Italo disco vibe. Love that level 1 tune, only 12 bars, so simple but so good!
The Amiga version is an almost pixel-perfect conversion, true gold. AND the Amiga music is GREAT, yeah. BUT the arcade is the more polished. Try to see both on youtube. Amiga has less colored scenery and sprites
I had trainer with this game, so i always picked option with football helmet (i was around 6-7 years old back then) and luckily was able to beat the game. Reward was priceless at the end. The meadow
The last 3 tracks are a mystery. I've marked them unused until someone can tell me where they are used in the game. I've watched a longplay and didn't hear them anywhere.
Dolbyfied means that a Dolby Headphone DSP effect is applied to the audio. Watch this video ua-cam.com/video/ibMl3AKPSz8/v-deo.html Don't know anything about how A600 sounds, but the difference between A500 and A1200 is demonstrated here ua-cam.com/video/7ViwoW9ncFI/v-deo.html The A1200 has no static filter stage that existed in A500 models (not talking about led filter here), which makes it play higher frequencies as is.
Post-processing gimmick based on Dolby Headphone DSP. Goal is to try and improve headphone experience for Amiga music. Listen to this video with headphones ua-cam.com/video/ibMl3AKPSz8/v-deo.html Even more examples here ua-cam.com/video/pr7hPclH1cw/v-deo.html
From what I can tell there are 3 new original tracks made for the Amiga port (some also used in other versions) along with the remixes of all the arcade tunes. So I don't think it loses any tunes, just doesn't repeat the same ones for most stages.
Absolutely brilliant version of the soundtrack, still so memorable after all these years.
such an amazing OST, even more so than the arcade original. Ice Palace is stunning.
this game had the best music of al
Bundy or Yankovic?
especially the Ice Palace/ happy ending

Lake Neptune.. the best one
I remember this game and this fantastic music. I remember that I created 7 speakers in my room for better sounds results 😁
alors le high score sans les percussion était belle et bien utilisé sur Amiga 500+ ^^ pour y avoir joué des heures et des heures
Thanks for memories...
Better game and music than the arcade original.
are you kidding .the best arcade version

na jezze
arcade doesn't have enough music and is less polished
better music yes, but not the gameplay
This game was hard as fuck
NES port was much easier but for the right reasons.
tokineedsawarltokineedsawar made it much easier. Fun fact: I´ve had that cheat on my mind instantly. After 25 years.

Last boss in Toki was a nightmare fuel.
This sounds kinda like commodre sid, with a few improved sounds added

Unused 1: Game Over
Unused 3: High Scores
Thanks.
Unused 2: Death / Continue? Screen
Last 3 tracks in order: "HIGH SCORES", "CONTINUE", "CONTINUE" (another version)
Funny they didnt make specific tracks for jungle, first part of castle, and ice caves since it shares the end music.
The sega genesis version had 4 songs at most, but this is an interesting ost
What means A1200 dolbyfied?? Had the Amiga 1200 a better soundchip than the 500 and 600?

Simply was "stereoized" with precomputed (or using VSTs) FX onto a Digital Audio Workstation
Whats mean "Dolbyfied"? thanks
