Yeah, but NES also had it' s games, back then consoles had their games and computers had theirs with few multiplatformers, that were veeery different. It' s not like nowadays that you can play every PC game on a console pretty much.
True but whats shocking is how much better the C64 sounds over the Nes, both of which are 8-bit but the C64 sounds way better with it's iconic sid chip.
I agree, amazing music, certainly a strong contender for being in the group of one of the best game themes ever. Game wasn't bad either, it had great atmosphere especially for it's time, the levels felt creepy af, not least thanks to good sound effects. And solving each level battling through enemies was just fun and exiting; that's how I remember it. It also had some fairly awesome boss fights. Guns and stuff that you could buy through the Intex systems consoles felt meaningful.
Team 17 had some awesome Amiga games! Super frog > Alien Bread(s) > Project-X > Overdrive (In my humble opinion) I only played Worms on PC, so it didn't make the list.
I freaking LOVE the "Alien Breed" soundtrack =) It´s a pretty darn hard game though. I was about 11 years old when it played "Alien Breed" for the very first time.
Thanks :) I've been using lossless pcm audio for quite some time now in my uploads, so UA-cam is the only one performing lossy audio compression. The 720p version of this upload has VBR AAC LC audio track with an average bitrate of 152 kbps (168 kbps max). Information is from MediaInfo.
@@BarrySlisk There is a comment asking for it but it does not work anymore, it seems. You could ask for it again, he reuploaded it two moths ago so pretty new.
You know, I was just wishing for a modern -2019- %CURRENT_YEAR% version of Alien Breed (there was an Alien Breed 3D back in the day, on the Amiga) Team 17 are still around today, so I guess why we haven't seen a modern Alien Breed game is because of the likelihood of the people behind Alien and Aliens taking legal action against T17. But yes, a modern Alien Breed game, in the same vein as Doom (2016) soundtracked by Autechre, that would be orgasmically epic!!
You know they did a reboot in 2009-ish, right? It came out in three episodes. It was on XBLA and Steam and such, try googling for Alien Breed Impact. They were more based on the original top down games than AB3D, and sadly they weren't exactly great. Not terrible, but not great. Might be worth a look if you like the originals.
@@ArcturusDeluxe Well, I got the bundle of Alien Breed 2, Alien breed 3 and Alien Breed Impact for £1.69 on Steam, so thanks for that. I guess I was looking for something more along the lines of 2016's Doom.
One of my biggest regret in life that I could get a Quartex crack of Alien Breed 3, and - as it was with 99% of Quartex cracks - it was buggy, and the game simply crashed during loading one of the levels (Medical, I think). But boy did I love playing with that game...
The first time i tried it in my Amiga 500 the memory extension was not connected properly, and after the loading screen the game laugh at my face because it needed the 512Ko memory extension in order to launch the game!
I have an A500 and an A4000/20 but I dare not switch them on after all this time without a complete rebuild. However, does anyone know if emulations mess with the original sound and video quality? I'd like to try a MISTer or something
Do you still have this file please ?
Download bit.ly/3UqlQMF (1 month)
Dolbyfied version only and source audio is from a real A1200 (the video was not made using real audio).

To think when the Amiga was around many still had an NES is mind blowing the diference on the music.

The Amiga was released in 85 the NES was released in 86
and the nes was planned to be releace before 86 but because of deleys and revisons before the public relice model, it was releiced in 86
btw. It was going to have a keyboard...
and a mouse...
Stunning work from Brimble. One of the best game themes ever!
Nah. And the game was bad. See my retro playlist from games "Ancient..." (Click on the nick)
One of the best game Themes ever???? No! Definitely not.

Definitely good old times !!!
Great bass rhythms! Especially once 4:05 kicks in.
WOW I've never heard such a clean version without dodgy mp3 compression artefacts!
OMG what a quality dude, I just cant believe it.

Alien Breed was one of my favourite games!
1992 Special editon was the game we played for months to beat.

It was released on XBox 360, I bought all 3 releases. Still the Amiga version wins, despite much stronger HW of 360:-)
Especially the music.
Simply awesome!

Didn't Violet Berlin the female presenter for the video game series "bad influence" do the voice over for "welcome to intex systems?"
