I've been looking at all different guitars, mainly 7 and 8 strings. Then I find out about this thing a couple weeks ago. The line "Reccomended for lovers of half time china cymbals and blast beats." may have sold me lol
My RGRTBB21BKF 28" arrived around October-November of 2023 from sweetwater but sadly arrived with a chip in the neck. I recently re-purchased it again since its on backorder hoping for a good run!
Just bought one , what strings did you put on it? Mine came in standard tuning with some pretty thin strings on it, that’s just not gonna do, really thought it would come in like b standard, kinda sucks because I’ve gotta set the guitar up now before even really enjoying
Hi, nice video! I have an important question: Can it fit 11 gauge or bigger strings? Because I would like to play it in Drop A but I read around that strings bigger than 10 gauge don't fit. I hope it's fake. A thousand thanks!
Hey man i want to ask you about the song or the demo whatever you wanna call it. Its so good and i just want to know where i can find this song, if you have released it. I love this style of song writing and by the way Drop C is my favourite tuning. Thank you!!! (i dont own this model of ibanez but in the future im gonna buy one for sure, because its my favourite)
Really appreciate this man, The music in question is a song by my band arcaeon - ua-cam.com/video/pCVgZzGJ7rs/v-deo.html Thanks so much, and stay awesome - Sam
Tap Mode (single coil) creates a punchy, dynamic sound with superior articulation. Series Mode (humbucking) delivers a full, warm tone, and Power Tap Mode provides the best of both worlds-combining the clarity of the single coil with the fat bottom end of the humbucker. There are some examples of these modes in this video. Cheers! - Sam
With mine I experienced buzzing at the first fret and to fix I had to tighten the neck and increase the action but it feel like the action is too high for me. Wondering if yours had any buzzing at the first fret
We setup any guitar with any issues like this in store James, so no there not any problems! If the guitar was bought from a shop then you are good for a free first setup if requested, worth keeping in mind! Hope you are enjoying your ibanez though mate 👍 Cheers - Sam
Had mine for a few weeks and had an expert set it up; still some fret buzz and several very minor neck/bridge whatchamacallit adjustments (had dead frets as well while it was adjusting to humidity/temperature), still doing minor tweaks every week or so to lower the action here and there, but it's barely needed. Have a pro look at it, but it shouldn't require much tweaking. My first one came in with action about 7-10 times higher than specs, had to send it back.
Mine came with a insane amount of fret buzz and i even paid sweetwater extra for a low action no buzz setup that clearly didn't happen. Now i wonder if some of the runs at the beginning were so bad that even a luthier couldn't fix it...or i got ripped off.
Hey I'd really appreciate a high string palm mute test if you could add it to demos. Maybe just show doing it for a couple of seconds don't even have to explicitly mention it. I can't do it on my ibanez because the volume knob really obstructs my hand.
Great question, The first string has a slightly larger recess but wouldnt be too sure about the others, where did you hear this onfo, and what string guages are you planning on using? Many thanks - Sam
@@HickiesMusicStore I heard this info from another comment on another video, I wanted to tune to drop g/g# , definitely would like to know what the thickest string could be handled on this guitar
@@bollywoodbeed So in my experience, Ive gone down to an 80 guage on a few different 7 strings, and almost always have got them setup professionally from going to a standard setup to heavier string guages. In some cases the nut may need to be filed, and in even more extreme cases the holes in which the strings pass through to the bridge may need to be routed slightly too. I would usually always reccomend anyone who isnt versed in guitar setups to get the guitar setup properly by a tech if they are planning on using heavier guage strings and a low tuning. Hope this helps, and thanks so much for your question - Sam
You could but it would be very tight. It has a 28 to no scale length whilst most guitars have anywhere from 24-25.5 inch scale length. Now you could probably do standard octave which is a whole step down from standard
@@343guiltyguitarist4This isn’t the baritone version. I answered my own question when asking about the standard neck. It actually comes tuned standard from the factory. I ended up buying one.
This is the review/Demo I was looking. Nice playing.

Holy shit that came in BANGING
Hope you are enjoying it Frederick! Cheers - Sam
One of the best guitars I've played.
And I only know three chords!
Sometimes it's all you need Alex! So glad to hear you are enjoying your Ibanez. Stay awesome - Sam
Hey… are you still doing 3 chords? I have 20 years experience. I have this guitar. And I still only know 3 chords lol.
What gauge of strings did you use in this video? What scale is this black beauty?
I’ve been wanting one for a little over a year now. My biggest gripe would have to be no case or gig bag especially for that price point.
very nice riffs.. deserves more love!

Can you comment on neck thickness and width?
Totally meeetttaaallll awesomeness fantastic playing my friend
Thanks Adie! As ever - Stay awesome! 🤙
No floating trem? 😢
Closest release to the old MTM sigs. Might just have to grab one
Killer guitars! Wasnt too into the seven inlay on some of them, but can assure you that this new one slays!
amazing tone!!
Is that awesome intro demo an original? Anywhere to find it?

Totally fits! You'll need to adjust the truss rod tension and intonate the guitar (setup) but you will be fine to use .11 strings.

Song name?
what pedals (music effects) and amp have you used to get that thick metal sound?
I monitor with a blackstar ID core 20, capture a DI and re-amp everything digitally through Nueral DSP Petrucci. Cheers! - Sam

goddamn that demo track

will i be able to put thicker gauge strings in it? i heard the string holes are too small for it to be able to take anything thicker

Those Dimarzio seem to sound quite sterile, not sure why
that's what I'm thinking!
how's the neck thickness? is it as slim as a traditional wizard 3?
that riff at 0:11 is brilliant .. the song mix doesn't highlight it well enough imo
