    Excellent review! I agree with the muted aesthetics. For a more menacing look, I would customise this with some black chrome pots instead of those plastics. And some interesting inlays.

      Hey mate! Thanks for the comment! I'm no longer working with ADSP - I was lucky enough to get the full time job at Mayones Guitars after that summit 23 :D Cheers!

    Thank you so much for the video. I have these model too. I like it very much (especially because Ibanez have just 2 baritones now), but i really dislike neck-thru and matte black finish. Funny enough, both of these factors become a problem when i decided to refinish it and realized, that it's just too expensive because of the neck construction. But guitar is good for sure, Drop F# works very well. I wish Ibanez will get back to the solid color bright finishes any time soon

      Refinishing of the guitar is a very big cost - the most time consuming and high error risk procedure in manufacturing process. It takes big amount of time to get the actual paint job off without damaging the guitar, then it takes a lot of time to make few paint layers - each requiring around 1-2 weeks of dry process in stable conditions and polishing and it's still might need re-doing as this process can be distrubed by tremendous amounts of factors. I got the same overall feeling like you do - this is a tool for a job and this is the only reason I got it as my custom Baritone with Evertune will be ready around Q1 2026 and since that time there is absolutely no better tool for the job. Thanks for the comment !

      @@CultifactThank you so much for the info. I hope you'll show us your custom baritone on the channel because description sounds amazing. Also, if you don't mind one more question. How do you think, are evertunes essential for playing low tuned stuff on a baritone guitars?

    • @Cultifact
      @Cultifact  Місяць тому +1

      @@Evolji228 Hey! Of course I can't wait to get my hand on it :) Evertune is more of a perk. You can live without it and the live will probably way easier as evertune setting is kinda demanding to be done correctly. The biggest difference is the additional weight of the guitar itself. Evertune is big...and i mean...really big system which need to be kept inside the guitar body. The difference we do at Mayones is we got complelty different width of bodies if the customer is willing to take the Evertune bridge. It requires wider body - around 5-10%. This means that the mass of the guitar increase a lot. Evertune itself has also a small tendency of being a bit loud - all the parts inside might resonate - is it good though ? I will let you know as soon as I got my hand on it - it's a risk and I decided to roll the dice on that one :)

    Thank you very much for this review! I have the standard version of this guitar and 2 RGIB6 (predecessor of the 21)guitars. I love the 6 string version and i'm looking for another baritone guitar.
    The only thing that keeps coming back in the reviews i found so far that this neck is extremely thick. Thicker than the RGIB21? Is that true?

    • @Cultifact
      @Cultifact  Місяць тому

      Absolutely not! When I received this one I still got my RGIB21 not selled yet and comparing both I was super sure that the new one is 100% more comfortable and I'm doing a right decision to swap them. :) Thanks for the comment

      Mine is the RGRTBB21 (specs are on sweetwater) and I swear it’s not even a baritone. Neck is thin to me? Feels , well just a regular Ibanez) but maybe the letters are different?

    what a gorgeous guitar and thicc one, just would have been better with 27 frets for extra thall, not sure i like those specific pickups tho, although very nice looking

    Nice vid, and great playing as always. Too bad, that most baritone guitars are either metal oriented or blues/classic rock oriented, would be great if Ibanez makes a Baritone Q model. The weight saving, the overall length would be of a normal scale guitar, and it being Q54 configuration would make it plenty versatile for all sorts of genre as well.

      I completly get you :) I'm working in Mayones Guitars and ordered myself a fully customised Regius Baritione with Evertune due to the fact that to get the baritone you want you need to order one from custom shop :) The guitar will be ready around Q1 2026 and since than I need to stick with this black, a** looking monstrosity because it works flawless and that's what really matters. I got few customisation ideas in my mind but I'll have to consider it properly as I'm not sure if investing huge amount of money in this guitar would be good idea. Thanks for the comment

      Sweet, can't wait to see your Regius Baritone. Yeah, sometimes one just have to live with what's readily available, unless they can afford a custom shop piece, but being a broke a$$ peasant myself, I can't afford shit. So, I'll just stick with my RG for the time being.🤣

      Would a 5 string bass work? I’m not a bassist, but I think they make those? I have a Dean “hybrid” whatever that means. It looks like bass tuners and 5 strings. I don’t know the specs, it was an accidental purchase I’ll be selling. But maybe that’s an option. Sorry just trying to help. I’m new to Baritones

    • @WailingRaven
      @WailingRaven 28 днів тому

      @@BlueSkiesBlackDeath No worries, we're all learners, when it comes to anything music. A bass won't work as well, due to the different string spacing. Plus, bass is more suited for single lines, rather than chordal playing.
      But it doesn't mean that it's not possible to use bass as riff machines. The Bunn uses a 6 string bass to play sludgy riffs. And the Bass VI does exist, or the Hellcat by Schecter.
      It's mostly preferences and use cases. For me, I would mostly use it for ambient or Rabea Massaad's and Mark Lettieri's Baritone tunes, that's why I want the versatility.

    That guitar needs a floyd rose bridge 😂

    • @Cultifact
      @Cultifact  22 дні тому

      If we could choose various bridge for that one, that would be awesome. Might be interesting with the Evertune bridge.
