Ibanez RGRTB621! - It's Like, How Much More Black Could This Be?.. The Answer is None!

- Dagan checks out the 'more metal than your mums kettle' 2022 Ibanez RGRTB621 from their Iron Label collection!
The Iron Label line was originally developed with metal and nothing but metal in mind. These guitars have been modded and tweaked into the heaviest-hitting metal axes Ibanez has ever built. They’re purposefully spartan, and you won’t find a feature here that doesn't contribute directly to a bone rattling, earth shattering tones these guitars pump out.
Through close collaboration between Ibanez and DiMarzio Fusion Edge pickups have been engineered to produce a powerful, distinctive tone with a crisp, cutting high end, and a tight, compressed bottom end, minus any muddy mid-range.

The dyna-MIX 10 offers ten sound variations and can easily switch from humbucker and single coil modes with the mini switch. The power Tap mode provides a realistic single coil sound despite its two humbucker pickup layout.
Carrying forward that same philosophy, the next generation of Iron Label guitars take this raw metal energy to a completely new level. They sport totally blacked out looks, and their supercharged electronics amounting to some of the heaviest-swinging metal axes available on the market today.

This is the correct level of black.
You helped inspire me to pick up and learn the guitar. You always look like your having a great time playing
I believe Dagan can make every guitars in this world looks cool
For us Ibanez geeks, the naming of RG series most of the time does make sense.
RGRTB621 : it's an RG body, Reverse headstock, neck Thru, iron laBel, 6 string, 2 h'bucker pickups, and hardta1l
RG6HSHfx-BKF : a 6 string RG with HSH pickup and hardtail, black finish (had to look it up to be sure though lol)
Anything blacked out looks killer , black always looks good with guitars!
I've always been a fan but this I had to watch a few times. It's an amazing guitar. 🤟
Great vid, sounds awesome!
sounds great through the Black star!!!🤘👍
wow!!! this realy sounds good!!!!
That guitar sounds like it plays really well.
I think it looks slick 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
That's the best explanation of dynamix I've ever heard 😂😂
bro loves it so much he cant stop noodling
This could be my next guitar
Dagan, because you asked! :) I really like the sound of this Ibanez! Great combo with the Blackstar amp. What about a video with a mesa boogie amp? Haven't seen any video showing guitar tones with a mesa boogie amp. :) Great video as always!
I just ordered one yesterday, cant wait to get it. Thanks for this video
Ordered mine today. How do you like it?
@@bloodbeatshands down my favorite guitar I have ever played. The neck is so smooth and fast, the guitar itself is so light i didnt even think there was a guitar in the box. I am finally starting to use the power tap switch to split the pickups and it has a lot of great sounds. The only downside is the matt black finish wears off pretty quick where your arm rubs against the guitar but thats expected with a matt finish. I bet you will love it.
@@MetalStormGames Hell yeah! Really looking forward to it. What tuning do you have yours in?
@@bloodbeatsI bounce around a lot between E standard and drop C# with it. my band plays mostly half step down and then some songs drop C#. I havent gone any lower than, still using the factory setup other than a few tweaks of the truss rod.
@@MetalStormGames Picked her up today. Definitely the sickest RG I’ve ever played.
Youre a amazing guitarist
nice video, just became mine 2 days ago : ) incredible to play, the only thing is those dimarzio´s are a little muddy...but anyway a good guitar.
Really like this guitar I have the GRGR131EX if it had some Fishman Fluences put in it how would it compare to this Iron label ? Being you have reviewed both
Pretty cool pickup options - nice demo on the power tap! ...i wonder if it's got extra resistance so its like 60-40 HB/SC... 🤔
Assuming the internet is correct they use a 475 ohm resistance on ea HB....nerd out :) Thanks for the demo!
I think I'm gonna get this. I've got an rg 470 with the floyd rose bridge but want one without a floating bridge and this thing looks nasty. I'm stuck between this and the baritone one but have never played a baritone
Can someone tell what's the two songs he played in his 1st demo of clean version?
nice Nuno driven riffs !!! question : wife would beat me if I came home with that $$ Blackstar head.. Love the tones !!! what would be a decent Blackstar combo amp ? cheers gang
I am learning chugging with her 🤘 This is my first electric guitar. Yes, it is a bit hard to keep it clean, but these metal vibes...
Where is it being made?
seems that you really enjoyed that instrument, I didnt know that you could get some hard rock tones from a baritone.
"The answer is none..None more black..."
Any concerns from anybody about no fret markers? Was just wondering if i would get use to it or not
You have them on the side. They’re also glow in the dark.
Blacker than the blackest black, times infinity!
Are you guys gonna release the video from your USA trip?
Soon! We have a TONNE of amazing content! 🤘
Is there a comparison anywhere between this guitar and the BB21?? The baritone version? It appears to be the exact same other than increased scale length to 28". I'm super torn between the B621 and BB21!
If you’re sticking with Standard to Drop C go with the B621. Grab the BB21 if you want to play lower tunings
Yeah, that's true. Thanks for the reply.
Hi, nice video! I have an important question: Can it fit 11 gauge or bigger strings? Because I would like to play it in Drop A but I read around that strings bigger than 10 gauge don't fit. I hope it's fake. A thousand thanks!
You can switch tuners 1-3 with 4-6, problem solved. 😉
But you could just get the baritone model.
How more black can your guitar get?
Me: yes
None...non more black 🖤
lovin your riffage
I have the blue lagoon one and it's one of my best guitars and I know it's a bit cheaper but shit it's the cheapest guitar I own and it's a go too for me... not that 650 is really cheap lol it's more the beginning of intermediate imo
A question, this guitar can be played in Standard Tunning ?
sorry if this was meant to be a joke but yes it can
it has a 25.5 inch scale length so if you want to use a lower tuning you can keep a decent amount of tension on the strings without having to re string with much larger ones
@@callmesubby I have an important question: Can it fit 11 gauge or bigger strings? Because I would like to play it in Drop A but I read around that strings bigger than 10 gauge don't fit. I hope it's fake. A thousand thanks!
@@TheBedo69 I’m not entirely sure, the strings would “fit” however since the nut isn’t cut for strings that large you might run into tuning stability issues and rattling. I would recommend using a set of 10’s but with something heavier for the low A string.
@@callmesubby Thank you, you were very clear and kind in your response. I should buy this guitar soon, since with my band we play in Drop A, and I tuned it like this in the guitar shop in my city, it had standard 10 strings. They turned into spaghetti ahahahaha as was obvious. Then the manager told me that he would install 7 string gauge strings, I will go back there in the next few days and try it that way. Assuming they managed to fit them in, given this doubt that they might not fit that big. If so, I will absolutely take your advice. (Always hoping that even just the Low A enters ahahahahah) Thanks again.
@@TheBedo69 no problem brother, it’s a really great guitar I bought one for myself earlier this year and unfortunately have to sell it now lol. The paint on it looks absolutely amazing and the way the Ibanez logo on the headstock only shows in certain lighting looks sleek as hell. I’m hoping nobody wants to buy mine hahaha
What's the scale length?
25.5
@@adammassacre1981 25.5" baritone?
@@ricksanchezito8972 No.Baritone usualy start around 27"
@@adammassacre1981 I saw the B in the name and assumed it meant baritone. I have a 26.5" baritone.
@@ricksanchezito8972 Ya could drop a 25.5 down to B with a heavy gauge string I suppose. I own a 27" 7 string baritone and it sounds killer. The intonation is pretty much perfect with no flabby wobbly strings even down in crazy tunings like drop F.
is this guitar stainless steel
If any guitar could use a genuine OBSIDIAN Ibanez logo, and maybe 7/12 fret marker, it's this one! There's not much more metal than that.
How much is it ?
There’s a link in the description box 🤘
How much is it please

$1,200.00 @ Sweetwater
I refuse to even try to repeat the name of that guitar...wtf
Sweet guitar, shame about the Blackstar.
You can't get a good fender guitar anymore so I've been buying ibanez guitars and bass guitars
This guitar should've had EMGs instead of DiMarzios in keeping with the 'all-out metal' theme.
Funny because the description on Ibanez’s site says that it comes with DiMarzio OR EMG pickups.
Wondering how you’d get the EMGs.
@@bloodbeats When the Iron Label line was initially launched 10 years ago, it was touted as Ibanez's "no-nonsense, stripped-back, straightforward metal and metal-only focused" line of guitars and all the guitars were all in black and had EMGs or DiMarzios. For some reason, they downsized this line over the years and now there's only a few models with only DiMarzio pickups and no EMG equipped guitars.
Looks not unlike like my amazing and just as black Jackson SLSMG!
A grand and out of stock.
They’re Pre-Order. Most the 2022 models haven’t landed in the UK yet.
@@DaganWilkin the problem I have Dagan is…. You Rock every guitar demo, and my Mrs is running out of eye rolls. You should be an a showcase on how not to cure GAS anonymous.
RIP
Will Smith.
Looks tiny
Dagan’s just very tall!
Dagan makes all guitars look "small", he is tall.
