Can you please show us how to do the fifty bar?
@@larryw866 if you can get the cover off it should be pretty much identical. From what I can tell they all use the exact same factories in China to pump these out.
@LargelyUnemployed not this one it's completely different from what it looks like and assembled in America just has China insides
@LargelyUnemployed after finding out how to take it apart, it the the easiest out of them all no pliers needed
Can you upload a video for Nasty 8500 puffs - Also I ordered Nasty vape juice for refill but the taste is not as good as the original vape further when I refill- there is bad taste - kind of burning taste
I stopped using these because of how wasteful they are. Thanks to our government making flavored pod based vapes illegal, these became the dominant standard. Leave it to the government making decisions for no reason that harm the environment. I switched back to a good ol box mod because it's not only better for the environment but it's so much cheaper. A coil is 3 bucks and lasts for 1-2 weeks and a bottle of juice can be 6-12 bucks depending on brand and size and may last upwards of a month. Compared to a disposable which, over here, tend to be 15-20 bucks and only last from 3 days to a week and a half depending on habits.
Thanks for making this video though, it is a great way to reuse something.
The batteries in particular really get me. South Africa has a lot of trouble with wildfires and these damn lithium cells swell up in the sun and burst.
Always great to see ''non-recyclables'' being recycled.
I used to think it safe til yesterday. My brother refilled Kang Vape tc8000 and all was well. He plugged it in to charge and went out to mow. While out in the back mowing, he didnt see the fire that started in his room. A neighbor down the road saw the smoke. That fire consumed the house and killed 2 cats...last night. We have been refilling this style vape for a long time. My son in law passes his empties to us every week. We live in the country and it took over an hour for the fire trucks to arrive, and it was to late. It consumed the house and his workshop and garage so fast. Be careful...this can be dangerous! He lost everything trying to save money by refilling.
So sorry to hear this, poor kitties.
I'm so, so sorry for your brother's loss. I'm not sure what I'd do if I lost my cats like that.
Lithium batteries are insanely dangerous, which makes it all the more insane how many of them we just dump into our environment.
We NEED to be viciously supporting right to repair. But thanks for the upload. Anything that can help people take back control of the things they purchase is A-okay in my book
Agreed! It's pretty underdeveloped here too.
Thanks man, had to do mine from the top but this helped so much just to get me through the next week or so. Appreciate it!
I've been doing this too. Only i take a 3cc syringe with a long needle, fill the syringe, put my needle down through the hole on the mouthpiece, then add my juice. I pull it out to move it so that the sponge gets completely saturated with juice. I have taken it apart like you did just to see how it worked inside, and saw no reason to have to take it apart to refill it. Thank you for a great video
This is genius!
What brand do you use? I use geek bar
@@chinupkid1 I've used geek bar too, I just buy whatever flavor I think I'll like the best and what's cheaper.
I did the same thing for IGET Thanos and Star series vapes. They have a charging circuit inbuilt so you dont even need to buy a charging circuit. You can just open the thing fill it and close it again and just put it on charge .I really liked how you explained the video to non engineering background ppl on internet. You were pretty accurate about the voltages and told about battery swelling good info.I am no advertiser or promoter for any of these brands and dont promote vaping over long term.
Thank you! Just refurbed an Airis Beast, albeit with a more crude charging method. For those saying, “just buy a proper vape bro,” I actually prefer the aesthetics and compact size of disposable vapes. Random hint: If you guys run into a USB-C charger with pink, gray, blue, and white wires; pink is B+ and gray is B-.
Thanks man, this is great! I appreciate the detail and also not showing how to not solder lol! Keep up the good work
Great video, I do this too but didn't realize there is a market for them on ebay....cheers.
Guys, if you're gonna do this, don't do it with vapes that have already burnt coils as either way it will taste ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS. If after a couple recharges they start tasting burnt, just get a new one.
Agreed, at that point just strip the battery.
That said, even two or three reuses is a 200-300% extension of its planned lifespan. That adds up at scale 👀
@@LargelyUnemployed 100% agree. Also stripping the battery will help the environment, by a lot.
I stopped using cigarettes and use vape either so i bought one disposable. Time came the pod starts blinking meaning its out of juice or battery low so i disassembled it and investigates what's inside. I noticed that the cotton wool is half wet by juice so i reversed it. I'm thinking of buying juice instead of buying a whole pod is less price. As an electronic technician, it's a thumbs up for me if you're gonna reuse it just replacing new cotton as often use is better
Gonna try this with the lost mary i got that just ran out, i hate throwing then out constantly
This is by far one of the videos of all time
This is one of the videos I have ever seen
It can certainly be said to exist
I didn't think it was very much at all
For those with 3d printers, there are some quite good designs around for helping with these kind of things :)
Hello mate, what is the background music? It doesn't match the one in the description. Thank you
Batteries less than 1000mAh should be charged below 1A provided by the tp4056. There is a very easy modification (and widely documented on YT), changing a resistor in the tp4056 that will allow you to charge them more slowly and safely.
Defo gonna try this with one of my Iron Mike disposable. I'm curious if I could somehow reset the vape to read 100 for the tank amount again.
Thanks for the video. However, going by personal experience, opening and refilling the disp vapes is the easier part. But the unresolved part i guess is the juices - since a refilled disp vape just does not yield the same throat hit. Its like bland, airy and unsatiating dry hit. To my mind, its about the specific juice densities or solvents they use that produce the particular happy throat hits that these devices give.
Great video! And the diagram helped a lot
Thanks! It was definitely a little scuffed, but it works 🤣
Very neat and I like the Ingenuity. I’d probably advise folks that get really invested into vaping to go ahead and get a rechargeable/refillable vape device if that’s affordable for them, rather than get the disposable pens long-term.
Thanks! And I'd suggest the same. The best way to reduce waste is to never create it.
What to do if a new vuse go disposable on first use make a sound that hisses as if it's going to explode. And after a few puffs it gets slightly louder but still works and then have to give it a break but after 3rd puff it happens again

Greetings! That was a very informative and amazing video, May I ask you a favor? Would it be possible for you to please, please look into if the Oxbar 4000 is possible to be re-furbished, It's hard to say with what I'm internally looking at, I can take a picture and always show you, Thank you.
I’d actually say “ElfBar/LostMary” are the best to refill if you learn the easy opening process (plenty vids out). Best taste and easiest to do ! ✌️
Great to see another South African UA-camr making a difference! Dankie boet!
I took a Crystal Bar vape tank, a CBD unit with the rechargeable battery and MacGyver'd them together. The vape tank on a Crystal is very easy to refill.
Great way to upcycle the materials!
Can you ahow how to remove the box type one thats hard to open🥲
I love the way you explain how to bring out the part of the light of the Vibe.
I want to learn more on your class.
Question what about the vibe you trying to inhale Bud couldn't work , what caused the problem or couldn't even work like you try to inhale the Vibe doesn't come out? please and thank.
FYI, my girlfriend tried to inhale the 'vibe' I bought for her, and ended up chipping her teeth. Brutal
I’ve been doing this for years… I’d make sure the sensor, little metal thing is getting proper airflow. Make sure it’s seated, and everything is sealed just how it was new. If not, the sensor will not activate. Especially more complex ones, eg RAZ are really funny about airflow
Guys in Ukraine collect these elfbars, disassemble them, and use the batteries to power the drone drop systems. E.g. those things that drop grenades on russians from small commercial drones.
I'm not surprised. The cells have years of life still in them (with proper maintenance). I'm thinking of making a little battery pack for my phone.

@LargelyUnemployed chaya is evil, he wants to see people die, instead of being neutral in the war
@@LargelyUnemployed BTW good vide0
KEY is to use a similar flavor or it’ll taste like sht ! …ohh and MOST disposables have “ice”/menthol hint to the flavor… sooo match em’ up decently and yes, you can successfully refill disposables !
Elf bars are easy to pop off though...the top and bottom are seperate just pop off
"Filter to catch uncombusted juice" "Don't overfill or the juice won't burn properly" If theres anything burning or combusting in a VAPORIZER, you have a serious problem on your hands.
What would be a better verb? Vaporised? Atomised?
ummm... I was trying to fix my vape pen I just got. Im new at all of this. I got halfway through your video and then try to use my vape before I start doing some vape surgery on a vape pen, and the thing just started working after Ive been cleaning at it and giving it a hot towel treatment. Thanks though!
I dislike vaping/smoking. But this is pretty cool to watch
good for you
when my boss told me that giant ass box he was hitting get thrown out when done, i was dumbfounded
You should always look down the metal coil every "recharge and refill" as well. The vape juice caramelises and deposits in the coil. Obviously you cannot replace the metal coil in these. If it's "black" then you will need to clean it with rubbing alcohol.
Hi there, my first video of yours and thanks for easy to follow instructions...prob worth making on "MARYs" cus they seem to run the disposable vaping market right now especially here in UK.. But my question is ... IVG2400 is a great DV and the puff/taste/flavours are loads better than all the ones ive tried....but can these be dismantled cus the battery is like 1750mAh a feels weighty to the rest. I always feel guilty lobbing out a battery and lots of other decent materials.. so how much can u roughly get on these dead batterys in bulk........ And looking at the pods theres x4 and the rubber pops off showing the white cotton......so ive bought sum cheap E-Liquid to try.... Just gunna SLOWLY fill .. wait .. then hopefully BLAM. WDYT?
It's worth a shot, if they refurbish well you'll save a ton.
As for the batteries, I doubt they're worth much dead. You'd need to charge them up to at least 60% for storage, and will definitely fetch a better price online
Nahhh really they are called disposables cuz they are disposable never been said that they can’t be used again or “recycled”
My geek bar stopped working and was able to fix it over and over t with factory reset. Made a video about it
next up: how to properly replace cotton in the coil
I like using the rechargeable ones to replace batteries in tv remotes to make them rechargeable
Genius!
Didnt even know disposable vapes were a thing. I got a "proper" one myself. 2 big, long lasting batteries, is rechargeable and the reservoir can be removed/exchanged, which makes changing flavours real easy. Also, you have a wide variety of skills apparently. Oh and do be careful while climbing, heights give me fear like little else, even when it is someone else being up high.
We go through tens of thousands of the things a day in SA alone. The potential waste they produce is terrifying.
@@LargelyUnemployed That is pretty darn absurd. Like mine cost 50 Euros and all the stuff to make my own liquids was another 25 or so. And I still got plenty, despite using it for like 2 years straight.
I usually refill and change the coils and cotton for my friends because the coils are cheep and the cottons are cheep too and it's really cheep to just refurbish them than buying a new one
So much cheaper!
Such a wildcard
I've never seen one that can't charge!
does anyone know how long the coils on these things last? nice vid btw
Oof, maybe 10 refils? Still way better that one, but not great. They're cheap as all hell
Nice, thank you but how many times can you use and recharge ?
Nice poem.
The batteries have several thousand duty cycles in them (all the way up or all the way down) so you can do it as often as you like. The cotton wadding and coil will give out before they do. Please though, it you see ANY swelling or damage to the battery (even if you're only 5% sure) throw it away in the battery recycling.
Obviously you can reuse anything disposable, it's just not worth it. During the time working on refilling and recharging these things you could make the price of a new one easily.
I cant open the vuse. Pls help. :(
What about the big one
Rather than discharging the lithium cell, just cover the leads in plastic tape like packaging tape and take it to your local recycling center. They'll be happy to properly dispose of it.
This assumes your country has a functional recycling chain
How many cycles you can do this without burning the coils? Also would a battery charger be able to charge these tiny things?
You'll need a bespoke charging circuit for these 3.7v cells .there's one linked in the description!
In testing I got about 8-10 cycles out of the coils before they were really nasty. Maybe 6 ideal. Still a 6-10x reduction in waste
The crux of disposables are the coils. Once the cotton gets old unless you can replace it forget it.
Absolutely. The coils are so crappy they're good for maybe 10 refills, max. Any ideas on how to replace them? At that point I just recommend people strip the batteries.
They should charge you a $15 core charge if you dont exchange one to keep people from polluting the landfill with old worn out burnt tasting vapes with a perfectly good battery.
If you don't want the fireworks with the battery then keep the charge current between 0.2C and 1C. And please replace this cotton wick in the heating coil. You don't want to smoke coal :D
I go to the vape stores and I go dumpster diving and I get hundreds of vapes and I my most favorite vapes are the North vapes the rechargeable black flat vapes and these are the ones that I rebuild and I take the top off the North vapes and instead of buying vape juice I go take the salt vape juice out of the other brands of vapes and I pull out the sponge cotton and I squeeze the sponge cotton and squeeze out the vape juice into a plastic spoon and then I carefully transfer the vape juice inside the North vapes and fill them and I put the top rubber seal back in and the cotton rectangular piece on top of the rubber seal and the mouth piece back on and I don’t spend any money on this and I got FREE vapes. I use the same flavor of vape juice in the North vape that is labeled on the North vapes and I got a lot of North vapes and each North vape has a separate flavor.
Now the vapes that I tear down for the vape juice I take them vapes and I separate the batteries and I save them up and I take them to a battery store like batteries plus and they get recycled and the aluminum cases I put them into a large cardboard box and I save them to take in to the scrap metal recycling center when I take in my scrap metal that I get money from the aluminum by the pound. The plastic pieces and the wires and the coils I put in the recycling bin along with my recycling that goes out for recycling.
Good on you! Keep it up
Too much work
Any chance you could do a "belo" vape?
They're all functionally identical inside. The ideas here will carry over!
yes they do so cuz the cotton/coil elements are not replaceble thats why people buy rda/rdta's its a liabilty isusse smart guy
What about that burning taste of that filter and sponge? .
Awe bra South African here too
As a Vaper this enrages me. These things are disposable by design choice.
On Ali one can get both BMS and USB C ports for 50 cents both.
It is like selling a car without a tank cap, advertising its convenience of not having to go to the gas station. It doesn't save costs in any significant way, but ensures you'll buy a new one soon.
There is no reason to support this. I bought my girlfriend a small vape for ~12 Euro from a reputable brand with an usb C port. And refillable and changeable tank pods.
It is just as convenient if not more and lasts for years if you change the pod/coil every month or so.
I as a formerly vape enthusiast, having huge mods with up to 4 18650 Batteries, wrapping my own coils, needing a dedicated charger for the cells, I can see that this hassle isn't for everyone.
But come on. You can plug these smaller convenient things in at your phone charger. It doesn't get easier than that.
By comparison for conventional cigarettes you have to leave your house and find a vending machine, for the disposable ones you might have to go even further.
If my battery was dead on arrival, and i attempt to save the juice and try this method, does anyone know if the juice will start leaking out after i pull this apart?
It won't leak because it is absorbed by the cotton reservoir. Just make sure not to squeeze it.
They stole a page from the book of Lexmark and HP. They also make mods with built-in batteries and proprietary tanks/coils now, it's such a scam. There's plenty of mods that let you use your own battery and 510 connector. Still more fun, and probably less time, to build your own coils on an rda/rdta. But I can see the appeal with these things.
The vape industry is so out of touch now. I went into a shop the other day to ask about rda's, she's never heard of them, and wanted to sell me some inferior $5 smok coils that last for "a couple weeks" and said that building coils is "so old school". Keep in mind this girl was maybe 22, but that's who they're hiring these days.
how do i change coil if its possible of course 😊😅
The 'coil' in most of these is this pathetic little NiChrome wire that's placed inside the reservoir and soldered in-line with the battery. Replacing the cotton wads should be pretty similar to a regular vape, but replacing the coil if it's burnt would be a lot more difficult.
If you decide to throw it away, make sure to (safely) remove the battery first! You can save this for other projects, or hook it up to an LED and resistor to safely discharge it before you throw it away.
Any ideas what to do when the wires snap from your coil to the battery on these?
You can try to resolder them if you're good enough, but I'd probably call it quits and strip the battery at that point.
Resoldering is a crapshoot, I couldn't quite see for sure but these look the exact design of the ones my friend always gets(esco bar?) and I strip the leads, the pins pop out of the rubber plug easy enough, no tool needed. Just trap the wire by pushing the pin in with the wire in place. It's pretty much exactly like trapping the wires at the bottom pins of a coil/pod, but at the opposite end. I really don't get why they bothered soldering in manufacturing cuz it's time consuming and inconsistent for this application. Save that effort for a charging port at the vacuum sensor, but honestly rc/drone type charge leads straight to the terminals works better You can even rebuild the coils in these, a vertical coil works best then a thin cotton to isolate the leads so you don't get hot spots, then replace the silica tube(torch cleaning these works a treat). Rayon/cellucotton is what the outer material is usually, it has more capillary flow which is why it tends to equalize throughout, so the cotton can wet the coil more effectively and draw the juice inward. Haven't bothered but probably .8-1.2 ohms would work, somewhere in the range of 4-8 wraps of 26-32 ga kanthal. You'd have a much sturdier coil that can withstand repeated disassembly for rewicking. Strip the paint off and shine the aluminum tube with 3000 grit and you've got a sharp looking device fit for an adult. Pass it on if this helps.
Oh and if it breaks at the battery tab just strip it back, loop around the elbow on the tab then twist it up tight. Dab o hot glue if it helps you sleep at night
Just buy a mechanical one that can be reused multiple times
ain't no way yall js finding this out
What if the coil has burned and thats why it tastes burned
Very likely yeah, I hadn't thought of that by the time of recording. Not much of a vape guy myself hahaha
Rep 3 skier
What would happen if i soldered a regular AA battery, given that i managed to create the pressure for the sensor to activate?
And of course if i solder it safely, given that it is a battery...
Can i refil it With water instead?
No . Water is different to juice that has components like nicotine and other substances found in e cigarettes
I fee like if you're going to go to this length to preserve your vape then just buy a refillable and rechargeable pod kit instead. So much cheaper, so much safer and so much more variety in flavours.
This isn't about preserving any particular vape, it's more about demonstrating how these things absolutely are reusable. The companies behind them are producing needless, highly damaging waste and our governments have all be too slow to legislate on the problem. A single-use product powered by a rechargeable battery is an absolutely insane concept. Hopefully people realise just how scuffed this is and take steps to minimise their waste and/or hold these groups accountable.
@@LargelyUnemployed It does seem that disposable vapes will be banned in 2025 but it is yet to be seen if it will actually happen or not. I really hope so because like you say it is hugely wasteful. I drove passed my local secondary school the other day and you can see potentially hundreds of disposable vapes littering the road and god knows how many have been thrown into the bushes nearby.
A friend of mine told me that the school caretaker was talking to him in the pub about it and he picks up a carrier bag full of them every day almost from within the school grounds themselves.
They really do need to start cracking down on kids getting hold of them, it's very clear that many shops are selling them to underage kids.
I recently got back into it because I used to make my own coils with the uwell nunchaku and ehpro 101. Settled on the vaporesso 100 and the voodoo drag x pro. Found a couple of rda's, some rdta's, a cheap kuro coiler and a spool of alien wire. This stuff is all on aliexpress (if you know how to get around the ban). Follow it up with a 21700 battery from mooch's list (back then it was 18650). E liquid prices are kinda sucky but I picked up six bottles for about $50 online.
They need to be indicted with the bullshit of you get 32 billions puffs labeling. They're junk and thats not counting that a dirty factory worker puts their lips all over them before their packaged and sold to the customer.
...Aaaaand then there is germany. which is banning any disposable vapes that have over 2ml liquid. stupidity has no boundaries!
Can i Refil it with whater instead?
You can but it will damage your lungs way more so I would not do that
You keep leaving the same dumb comment. Go play in traffic
@@dexonvr5266 why does heated water damage you're lungs more? (and it wouldn't do anything
Why not just use a nic salt device that is actually designed for refilling?...
Why use lot word when few word do trick
This is useless because the coil is only going to be good for the one use just like the rest of it. Even if you put new liquid in, that coil and the wick running through it won’t last that long.
If you read the comments, the coil nets about 6-10 more fills before it goes bad.
Likes for the algorithm, SUBS FOR THE BALD ONE.
I've tried this a few times, twice with lost Mary's and once with a cheapo. I make my own juice and have for about 15 years.
Out of the three only one would barely hit. I came to the conclusion that these use juices with different or special grade carriers with significantly lower vape temps. Another thing is how can they get some of these juices so sweet? If i try anything 1/3 the sweetness my coils are trash after a few ml of juice.
As i mentioned, i mix my own juice and it's good enough for me. Premium is premium and i don't feel its worth it. I haven't bought premade juice in a few years, but even the , these juices were nowhere near what the dispos are kicking out.
Anyone else in my camp, or is everyone having great results?
I did this for IGET star and Thanos disposable vape works just fine
@@advaittikle2252 I've been using the wrong sweetener all these years. It seems my marshmallow had gone sour as well. I also found out saline solution is used for certain flavors. I've been able to replicate nearly all flavors I've attempted since my comment.
Not sure what it was, but I've been able to refill just about anything I can get open and refill with success now.
I agree with you there. Rather I've been suspecting something like that. Because all you refill the disposal ones with, you DO NOT GET the s hit...well,not even close. It's just a bland, flavorless, throatless hit. It's the juices on them.
Did it on a flum,an IGET 7000 and a 10000...all turned out the same way.
You make your own juice? That's badass. I build my own rda/rdta coils still. Kilo went out of business a while back, can you recommend something that was as good as their dairy flavors? Or maybe you already make one?
That hi hat or extremely tinny sounding snare is god awful. It makes my speaker sound broke.
Thought this was gonna be a quick slice the wire attack to phone charger and whoila done....that's easy mate...safe ?? Bout as safe as your method.
A manufactured circuit with overcharge protection is unsafe?
All that trouble... Just get a proper device, problem solved.
The point is to reuse the valuable battery
You know, if you 're so anti non-recyclables then don't buy them. Problem solved. I don't understand people buying disposables and then complaining about the "culture of unnecessary consumerism that has built up over the past few decades" (1:11). Then stop buying them. For gods sake there are other options. Actually cheaper, better and easier options.
The problem with this is those coils are a gamble. I refilled the Vuze pods when I started vaping. One pod I refilled 3 times no problem, the fourth time on the second puff it burned. The next pod I refilled once and it croaked around the tenth puff. Just get the Airspops Pro or Pro Lite (basically the same thing) and use their 313 Juice. It works out a lot cheaper then disposables and the 313 juice has just as much flavour as the disposable. They even have disposable refillable pods now if you don't want to rinse your pods and replace coils. My Pro blew my Vuze clear out of the water when it comes to flavor and cost. The Vuze was only R99 back then (2022) but the pods are where they get you.
I don't buy them, these are my sister's. I don't vape.
guys there are people literally dying of lithium poisoning from crack wiring their vapes. this is not safe, please just go out and buy another one ive personally lost two friends from this.
This is not a "crack wire" tutorial and the power output on these disposable cells here wouldn't be able to do anything more than lightly burn you if you somehow shorted the contacts with a finger.
@@LargelyUnemployed regardless youre recharging the lithium battery and theyre not meant to be recharged. not talking about simply burning yourself from the “crack wire” but rather potentially risking killing yourself due to poisoning frim the battery itself, once you recharge the vape, youre not only smoking nicotine
@@MpJynx I'm not sure where you're getting this from? These lithium cells are absolutely rechargeable (about 6000 duty cycles on average). If you use a charger with overcharge protection then you're safe. You should always throw away any crushed, swollen or damaged cells immediately, as I reccomended in the video multiple times. I even give an example of what to look for.
then youre friend prob just cut an charger and use the cables in the charger to charge the battery witch isn't safe but this is since it will stop charging after its charged and it will also charge at a lower wattage
What a huge amount of fkin about for sake of a fiver..😮😮😮
It's more about the interest, and, you know, the planet 💀
Lost me in the beginning . You don’t smoke a vape . Vaping is vaping and smoking is smoking .
And I don't do either! It's definitely a disadvantage here because I'm not sure how this refurbishing affects the flavour/experience (and thus the chances that someone will continue to do it). I've had ~mostly~ positive feedback, but it's not the same.
Give it a try if you can, and let me know how it goes?
Mate tbh regardless if it's safe or not. You should be ashamed of posting anything promoting the use of disposable crap vapes. Especially ways to reuse them.
