I was working at Walmart and an old lady bought that ps4 Duck Dynasty game for her grand kid for xmas. Remembering how much being a kid stuck with crappy licensed games sucked I tried to encourage her towards getting tearaway(a cute platformer where everything's made of craft materials), Ratchet and Clank(ps2 version was a better game but the ps4 remake is still a polished fun platformer), or rocket leauge(a cart racing soccer hybrid where you play as rc cars) as they were equally cheap and well made E rated games that a kid his age would have more fun with. She retorted that unlike those games "At least I know this will be family friendly. A lot of those games have so much evil in them." I didn't even know what to say to that. I just rung her up as quick as I could and tried to get her on her way before she sucked out my soul in case she was a demon or something.
@@ShineeFaith @Super Game Master Lol it was a weird moment for sure. I've had other weird encounters with the elderly at walmart but none as weird as that one. The grandmother who thought the Cabella game for the switch was the same thing as Splatoon 2, the Mom who wanted to know how to use a nintendo eshop card on her kids playstation to get nintendo games, an old lady wearing a tank top who's belly was hanging out to almost her knees, and the mom who started talking at me about her issues with gay people are honorable mentions for the weirdness though. That last one wasn't quick either, she basically held up the line for at least 10 minutes(after I started keeping track) before I could get her to go which was creepy, but nothing like the way the Duck Dynasty lady stared into my soul...

Disney Magical World and its sequel are surprisingly good so I'm glad you brought them up since you're literally the first UA-camr I've ever seen to bring them up. They have a shocking amount of content, too; I've put around 80 hours into Magical World 2 and still haven't gotten 100% completion, it's ridiculous.
Yeah really Niche games or not very popular games seem to have a lot of content when it comes to the 3ds. I think a game called Culdcept Revolt had about like 40-60 hours. If you want to do everything.
I have a bunch of nostalgia for Magician's Quest so I'm glad someone's talking about it current year. It's too bad we never got any of the sequels that actually shake things up...
I would say that I'm surprised it never gets sold in the US much anymore, but then again I never heard of this game until I saw this video. It probably didn't sell as well here then it did elsewhere. The game itself is being sol for over 100 dollars on EBay!
I had Magicians Quest as a kid, and I got it specially cause it looked like a cuter animal crossing with magic. Unfortunately for me I traded it in because I wasn't very good at the game.
I played both of the Disney Magical World games because I needed to fill the KH3-shaped void in my life, and I'm gonna say that even though the second game has more content (since it utilized virtually all of the clothing, furniture, and food from the first game, then piled whole new sets of stuff on top of that), the first one was better. In particular, the exploration areas where combat takes place was more satisfying in the first game since there was a sense of actual exploration with branching paths and the occasional simple puzzle. The second game replaced that with significantly more linear levels, which I found myself getting bored with fairly quickly. As a result I put far more hours into the first game (I collected all the stickers, and I even purchased the DLC levels for it) while I sorta forgot about the second one after playing it for maybe only a week or two.
@@fruit4evr Another downgrade that Magical World 2 had that I didn't even mention in my first comment, was the removal of the online interaction. 2:22 What are you talking about, Hello Kitty Roller Rescue was my shit when I was under 10 (and is still the only game I got 100% completition instead of dropping after finishing the story or not even finish it at all)
You should have included "My Sims" for the Nintendo DS. Back then in 2008, I was making the choice between Animal Crossing and this game. I, luckily, went for Animal Crossing and ended up never playing the other one. But I just went to watch a few gameplay bits of it and I can see why I was making a choice between those two. The map, the world, the way you run around, the menu and icons, the blending in- and out effects, the dialogues, the font. I'm not saying the gameplay is alike (as I said - I didn't play it!), but it's definitely got the same vibes when you look at it. And since back then, all I knew about a game before I bought it was the cover image and the stuff written on the back of the case, it seemd like they both were very similar.
I just got Magician's Quest: Mysterious Times for Christmas! It's really cute! I have a pink hedgehog named Sparkles in my town. I just wish I knew how Mystery Time worked. I hope it's not a Wi-Fi thing.
this hit me like a brick bc i . literally have it my brother got it for me as a joke a few years ago. its called icarly 2 ijoin the click. no, the first one is not an animal crossing clone its just minigames.
I love the Disney Magical Worlds games and Animal Crossing Happy Home Designer. They, along with the Cooking Mama games, are games I keep going back to, even now at 2020. After the drama, action and gritty depth of games like RDR2, Uncharted, GoW,etc., I find it nice and relaxing to shift back to my 3DS and play these light-hearted games. Balance out my moods...hehe...
How is Fantasy Life an animal crossing clone.... it's honestly far closer to Rune Factory, which was closer to harvest moon then anything. Have we all literally just forgotten harvest moon was a thing?
I was never able to get into Magician's Quest somehow. It is pretty good but also... VERY busy in content if it makes sense? The tutorial section takes ages and it just looks as if it be hard to grasp all of the information.
I actually love the Disney World series! I wish there's a third one with all the portals coming back as well as new ones. Edit: in the latest direct, they revealed the disney world 2 port for the switch and I'm so happy about It! It comes out in the holidays but I don't know if that meant the chistmas holidays or the school holidays in Japan or USA, but I'll definitely buy it when it comes out to go through nostalgia all over again!💖💗😍

“A new Animal Crossing game is on the horizon” Well shit he predicted that
I loved magicians quest but it was pretty glitchy, idk if maybe that was just MY copy that was glitchy tho.
Mine was sooo glitchy
"OMAE WA, MOU SHINDEIRU..."
"NANI?!"
Magician’s Quest is the hypest shit.
Just marry me already.
People need to know the difference between a copy and a game that just looks similar
Now i'm curious of hear an theory about disney magical world and kingdom hearts.
This was an unexplored realm for me, interesting to learn that there were even knockoff animal crossing games, but what they were like as well!
You forgot the Icarly animal crossing clone
wait what
?????
there's an iCarly Animal Crossing clone? WTF? Eh, you know what? Nevermind.
The WHAT
this hit me like a brick bc i . literally have it my brother got it for me as a joke a few years ago. its called icarly 2 ijoin the click. no, the first one is not an animal crossing clone its just minigames.
Love how he guesses the new animal crossing name
2018:a new game on the horizen 2 2019:animal crossing new horizens 2020: ANIMAL CROSSING NEW HORIZENS!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't wait to play the next Animal Crossing.
„we got a new Animal Crossing on the Horizon. So thats cool.“
THE NEW ONE IS CALLED ANIMAL CROSSING:NEW HORIZONS.
why am i like that
16:11 I honestly thought that Duck Dynasty was some kind of Donald Duck spinoff like Duck Dodgers, didn't know it was actually a real show o.o
"And also a control freak"
Yeah like Morgana isn't that already.
How is Raymond in the thumbnail?
I am very confused
yeah it was literally before I came into existence
Magician's Quest is actually pretty dope
Fantasy Life is the best Animal Crossing clone I know, and I hope they make a sequel (that isn't a mobile game)...
How is Fantasy Life an animal crossing clone.... it's honestly far closer to Rune Factory, which was closer to harvest moon then anything. Have we all literally just forgotten harvest moon was a thing?
Fantasy Life is nothing like AC. You go on adventures, and have story and stuff, unlike AC.
loz x animal crossing
@@thekirbyguy4576 you dissin' AC?
@@beastinthesuezcanal8315 Of course not, I'm just saying they're completely different games.
The tease with Fantasy Life in the intro... I'd love to see you talk about that game eventually, it's a pretty cool one.
UwU! Did you turn off the power without saving?!
6:10
Your use of Fantasy life music just took me back to a good time... Good video btw!
I was never able to get into Magician's Quest somehow. It is pretty good but also... VERY busy in content if it makes sense? The tutorial section takes ages and it just looks as if it be hard to grasp all of the information.
i played magicians quest as a kid! although its just like animal crossing it has its own charm and gives you so much more to do i’d recommend 😌💗
1:09 I love how you said "on the horizon" Like omg
I actually love the Disney World series! I wish there's a third one with all the portals coming back as well as new ones.
Edit: in the latest direct, they revealed the disney world 2 port for the switch and I'm so happy about It! It comes out in the holidays but I don't know if that meant the chistmas holidays or the school holidays in Japan or USA, but I'll definitely buy it when it comes out to go through nostalgia all over again!💖💗😍
Thank you for pronounceing Caribbean correctly
Ok they should bring the dating and marrying villagers into the real AC
hey knew it the whole time
"on the horizon"
I just did discovered this channel and I have been binging it. Good stuff!
