I've used Groupon to rent condos in Palm Desert and for car rentals. It has worked out fine for me. Reading the conditions is important so you know what you are getting into.
I been looking at Groupon for traveling but I'm confused as to "based on two people travelling together" but yet it says each person has to buy a voucher. What does that mean ?
Yeah, I can understand that being confusing. We bought 1 per couple. So I bought one for myself and my friend and my other bought one for herself and our other friend. So one Groupon bought= 2 people going. The trips are based on double occupancy. I hope that helped.
Sorry I know this is a couple days late but I also wanted to point out there are a few trips that do ask you to buy one per person. Just make sure you read the fine print to know for sure!
ccanela28 so buying one per person means the same thing as price is based on double occupy? It says both. So the price is $899 to go to DR. Does that mean if i buy that voucher. I'm buying it for two people? My self & my sister? So really I'm paying $449.50 & my sister pays $449.50?
OnTheGoWithCarson Same here it’s confusing. Like for example if you look at the China 10 day it says “double occupancy” then it says if riding solo “add 300$”. I’ve read the fine print and I’m still lost lol I’d hate to buy 2 tickets when it’s unnecessary
Im looking into a groupon trip its by Travel by Jen Im wondering if anyone in comment land has used this company or if you knew anyone that has. Thanks for the info!
Tours are great, little like a travel buffet! I only travel in groups with tours because I'm traveling solo. I feel safe like that... thanks for the review. I have only went to Hawaii and some USA hotels with Groupon and had a good experience.
Does it come with food included? Like when they say hotel+flight+breakfast do they give all the meals like dinner and lunch or do they just offer breakfasts. And did you get picked up at the airport or have to go to hotel on your own and did you pay for your transports after you landed in
@@jaffacakeorange8250 This all ranges vastly from trip to trip and can be found in the trip description and it should detail exactly what is included. All the trips are very different so it really depends where you're going, what company its through, and what's included in your trip. Things like food and transportation will be listed on the "included" part if it is included. But if it says hotel flight and breakfast, it means just breakfast.
Omg I literally have so many questions 😭 For starters, what happens when you pay for it?? Do you get some sort of email telling you where to go and what day? I just feel like it's so vague and the information provided isn't definite information if that makes sense. I wanted to buy one and it said "any day ranging from..." and it showed a few dates but I didn't know which actual days? If I were to buy it would they email me and tell me when?
I know it sounds crazy complicated but I promise it's not! It gives you a range of dates because it says you can travel from this time to this time. You get an email with the code after you purchase, you call or contact the company the tour or whatever is booked through, give them the code, and then everything goes from there. You tell the company what day you want to travel. So I traveled with Ecoterra to Costa Rica. I got my email, emailed ecoterra, told them my code from the groupon, and then they asked me which date I wanted to travel and only had contact with the tour company from there. It's very easy I promise!
Hey! Great video! I just have a question regarding extra fees. So many groupons say you pay airline taxes and fees in addition to the groupon... about how much was that and were there a lot of extra hidden fees?
So basically, if the flight is included in the group on it means that they are not liable for extra fees like international fees, checking a bag, etc. Does that make sense?
Suppose I book a trip to Jamaica. And I am from Jamaica. Do I have the option to rent a vehicle and leave the hotel and look for friends and family and come back. Do I have to get a tour guide? Or I can choose not to
Nicola Brown I would assume that you are able to do anything you want! But every Groupon is different and rules are listed in each Groupon listing! I would call Groupon. We had a lot of flexibility on our trip but since every trip is hosted by different companies, you may be dealing with completely different things! Good luck!
Shaina Yang Well when you buy your Groupon, there are certain trips that require you to travel between certain dates. My Costa Rica trip was set between Sept-Nov so after I purchased, I contacted Ecco Terra, the company that provided the Groupon to Costa Rica, to verify my trip and I picked the dates between those months that I wanted to travel! I ended up traveling In October and I could pick the exact dates in October that I wanted!
Very helpful ! However, I really need your help. For example, an all inclusive trip to Italy for two cost say $899. I am traveling solo. Will I be paying $449.50? Also, I read the fine print and it says solo travelers will pay an additional $250. Will my total be $699.50 (449.50+250) or will it be $1149 (899+250)? Please help! I’m struggling to figure this out.
To be honest, I'm not sure I can give you good advice as I've never bought a Groupon for only myself. But my guess would be you'd pay the $899 and they either make you pay that full price or refund you the money and you just pay an additional $250? Really I'm not sure. I'm sorry I can't give better advice but if you figure it out... I'd love for you to comment back and tell me what happened. Good luck!
Hi there. Unfortunately, no. The dates provided are the only dates that you are able to go. You can extend a trip though if you want to see more. But if a trip is only offered in March but you want to go in September, you will have to wait for another trip to be offered in September. Hope that helps.
Just Vlog It That is not always the case. If you read the description of what it is all included in every single Groupon you can see what’s included. Some include travel for one some include travel for two. If you read you’ll learn what’s included in each individual trip! And my Costa Rica trip didn’t even include airfare. We had to buy that separately.
Frank G I’m sorry, I don’t really have a good question to this because I don’t exactly have all the full prices off the top of my head in order to calculate this. I know I at least saved $800. But I would have to go back and calculate how much everything would be if I had booked it myself and how much the groupon in total was. This trip was last October so I don’t have everything in front of me since it’s been a bit since the trip. But if you’re wondering if you will save any money, my advice is to price out the trip the way you would plan it by yourself and then compare!
To be honest, I don't remember exact prices because it's been a couple years since the trip was purchased but I believe it was around $600 per person for the groupon we bought.
I've used Groupon to rent condos in Palm Desert and for car rentals. It has worked out fine for me. Reading the conditions is important so you know what you are getting into.
Absolutely! Unfortunately some people fail to do that... LOL
I think I've Groupon once for tickets, but I didn't realize they had travel options, I definitely need to check that out.
You should! They have some pretty decent deals on there from time to time! :)
Is buying theme parks tickets through Groupon?

Not so much. You will each have to buy a voucher for $899, meaning the two of you will cost about $1900.

I've only heard wonderful things about Travel by Jen but can't give you any personal experiences on it. Let me know if you end up going on one!
I used them and I had no problems.

Do you set the time and date? Or do Groupon set the time and date?

I believe you would pay 1149
I’ve never bought anything from Groupon, so I am trying to le How works.
If you have any questions, let me know!

OnTheGoWithCarson yes thank you! I’m glad I watched your review pretty sure I’ll be using Groupon soon for my trip!
Thank you for watching! I'm so glad I could help. How exciting, where are you thinking about going?
Do buying one groupon voucher equals 2 plane tickets?

She would love that!!!
Did you and your mom go?

Thanks for sharing. I have been using Groupon locally but I was considering using it for travel as well.
You definitely should! I was surprised with how well the trip went. I am thinking of going on another one in the near future.
