Thank you so much for the info / video! This was great. I was looking at booking this Costco package for May/June 2024 but now I'm thinking I will wait till next black Friday and book for 2025.
This is so helpful. Planning a trip with my daughter and was concerned about not doing a fully guided tour but wanted a lot of Flex Time. This sounds perfect.
Oh renting a car is a great idea! You must see the statue of David in person at the Accademia Gallery! Unfortunately we did not have time to go to any wineries, however whenever we get the chance to go back we definitely will!! Here's our video on Florence ua-cam.com/video/RJM-Z1NaS4E/v-deo.htmlsi=DgGDxFPwiXO4DD8W
We picked NH Collection Venezia Grand Hotel Palazzo dei Dogi (Venice), Cerretani Firenze (Florence), and Mercury Roma Centro Colosseo (in Rome). If you watch the next 3 videos I posted, I do a short walk through of the hotel rooms! Yeah, they were all a short walking distance to the major attractions, we didn't rent a vehicle at all!
I have been looking at these packages. Just wondered about getting to the train station from the various hotels and then from the train to your next hotel. Can you get a taxi easily?
Great question!! Before deciding on a hotel we mapped the distance from the train station to the hotel so we could just walk. All the hotels we chose were within a mile from the stations….We never did a taxi or Uber
What is the process-?-after you book your package online what do you do? Print out the info with your booking number to show the airline when you get to airport to check in? I booked my Hawaii vacation package leaving end of Feb. Flying Alaska Air to Honolulu from San Diego.
We printed everything out, then went to the airport with our flight booking confirmation number. You should also be able to look your flight information on the airlines app, as well. Also with in all the info from Costco, there is a customer service phone number… you can call that number with any questions
Thanks for watching!! Since I bought the Costco Travel package during their Cyber Monday deal for the two of us it was $3,893.25 total. That will go up or down depending on the hotels you pick and the flights. Approx. amount of reservations made at museums, galleries, tours etc was $325... Lol, we kinda lost track of food, gelatos, grocery store and souvenirs but probably some where around $450.. Hope that helps!! Are you planning a trip??
I’ve been looking at this exact package. We aren’t planning to travel until next year (maybe fall 2024), which isn’t available yet. So, I have many questions. When did you book, Cyber Monday of this past year (11/22)? What dates did you travel? Prices can swing greatly depending on the time of the year. That price for 2 seems incredible. Was it a cyber Monday special or did you just happen to see it then because that was when you searched? I can’t wait until these packages open up for next year. I’m hoping to find a deal that fantastic!
Lol, I started eye balling Italy packages (Groupon, Costco, etc) Back in August of '22. I decided then that the prices were too high and purposely waited for Black Friday/Cyber Monday. So then we booked with in a day or two of 11/28/22, I believe it was a Cyber Monday deal, even though it wasn't advertised. We looked like a couple weeks later, and the prices went up a couple hundred per person. We traveled Sat 3/18/23 through Tues 3/28/23. Looking back Venice was still pretty chilly, even though it technically wasn't high tourist season, there were still ALOT of tourists, and trees hadn't bloomed yet in Rome. I kinda wish we would have traveled in May, so it would be a little warmer and greener!
@@journeyof3 Thanks for the info! Do you mind if I ask where you flew out of to Italy? I’ll watch your other videos and let you know if I have any other questions. Thanks again!
@@jamesrossini1707 We flew out of Rome! No worries, Yes please let me know if you have any other questions! It was my pleasure.... Hope you enjoy the other vids!

Thks for sharing your experience and cost of the Costco travel package… didn’t find much info online. You’re funny - excuse to buy new shoes.
Just booked same package, any recommendations for your day in Florence, wineries, etc. We are renting a car that day. Thanks for great video.
