Thank you for inviting us into your home & showing us the many meaningful objects you have collected & displayed so thoughtfully. My 3 daughters feel my backyard gardens are enchanted. Oh how I loved that. (And it truly is.) I’ve always loved adding a bit of mystery & whimsy to my garden with its winding pebble & stone pathways. My dining room picture window that faces my backyard gardens has many different size & shape crystals hanging in it. When the sun comes thru, they make rainbows throughout the kitchen. ❤

For your entryway, might I suggest acquiring a number of curved expandable shower curtain rods. Fit and set them across the width of the entryway with the curved portion toward the ceiling. You can then create a lattice work, using fishing line, between the rods and from this canopy drape ivy, fairy lights and all manner of magical bits and bobs. Your entryway will become like a tree tunnel or fairyland arbor (kind of like the arch over your piano) without obstructing the actual space that looks rather small from my perspective.

I have a huge stick collection too!! LOL I'm not the only one!! Love it, just love it. I also have a huge moss collection. I just love having it in my home, so I can see it. I do use it in crafts & on my altar, but just having it makes me happy. I just decorated a mirror with some moss and other nature items. Your videos give me so much inspiration!!

Alwyn! I think I have such a lovely idea for the hallway! You should make it into a fairy portal/tunnel that's whimsical and is like a trick on the eye so when you walk in, right away, it feels like going down the rabbit hole! So I'm thinking like fairy lights all along the walls and ceiling of the little hallway, with lots of ivy and greenery, super lush, and maybe little lanterns that greet you at the lounge! You can have little dolls of woodland animals pinned up, like a squirrel holding an acorn and fairies! I love your home so much. Ever since I fell in love with your videos, I think two years ago, I have been so inspired by your style! I have worked so much on my own home, making it into a fairy tale, enchanted space has been so good for me! We think we can't still have fun in nature and cozy, whimsy, but we can, in fact, it makes me so much more motivated to do things around the house. It helps my ADHD wife, and it helps with my depression so much. Interior design of this style has healed my inner child while proving very affordable and practical. Thank you for your videos! I hope you make them forever and ever and ever!

Perfect timing! I have been doing home renovations myself, and have wanted to make my own personal enchanted woods-esque fairy home! Seeing this gives me a lot of inspiration and a ton of drive to keep going! It'll never be finished completely, but it can at least be more enchanting!

What a fascinating tour of your magical home! It’s so meaningful to have an environment that reflects the personalities of those who live there. My favorite is the fairy home you built. You mentioned it was a DIY. Is there a video of you making it? I’d love to see it and try to create a version of it. Finally, I love that anyone who enters your house that you’ve never met would immediately know your vibe and interests.💚
That space would look great with a limb for hanging hats or bags, cabinets for coats, scarves, a bench with baskets underneath for shoes or boots..add some ivy and pics , new rug and something for umbrellas...and fairie it up!
I love your videos, thank you for showing us a house tour would love to see a bedroom makeover. You could paint your draws and dressing table to add some colour and drama, also adding a large ornate horizontal mirror on the wall opposite as you walk in will give the illusion of more space and reflect light from the window. New bedding is always an easy way to freshen up a space xxx

Thank you for the tour of your lovely home, and for the inspiration it has given me today. I'm loving how you are using the arches indoors to bring so much more of the outdoors in. it really does make the garden look like another room in your home as you gaze out the the sliding doors from the inside outward.
I think one of your arches over your vanity table in your bedroom would be so romantically inviting. Something shallow where you could not only add a bit more green but you could also hang favorite things around it. I love the bed in front of the window. It must be so relaxing on rainy or snowy days to cuddle up there under an afghan with a cup of tea and just watch the rain or snow coming down. Also a good place to watch the leaves swirl down to the ground on a windy fall day as well, and a great place to sleep under the moon during all its cycles.
I saw your cat loves to perch on top of the bits of low wall that are left in your garden, so cute. Have you thought about putting a couple ornate planters, one on each side of your trellises with something lovely and viney flowing down from it. I don't know why but I keep picturing them there every time I see that space. It would add a bit more height and privacy from the vines and maybe your cat could still have access to its loved perch as well. Just sharing a vision I'm seeing.

So. We have very similar tastes. I suggest for the front hall a wall of dark heavy floral paper. Antique mirrors to draw in the light and remaining walls a medium sage green. And anything wrought iron hanging on the wall especially candle sconces😊

Your home gives me castle in the sky pirate home vibes. You have a function for each and every place, and a home space for each and every hobby. I feel like you're entry way should be the place you enter your enchanted fairy home. Lots of tapestries that are old and eclectic. With rich gothic castle vibes. And I I was your interior designer I would create an ancestry wall art installation. With small portraitures, embellished with antique frames. Maybe ivy or wisteria hanging from the ceiling. Branches and vines covering the walls. Can't forget the fairy lights.
I didn't see the fallen tree in the picture before you said it but i perfectly and very clearly saw the witch. What a magical item!!

I believe that Alwyn was once fae in a previous life. She may have wished to be human and then she was turned and now has no memory of her previous life. This is why she is drawn to the woodland and fae realms.
Also, just an idea if you haven’t tried it yet. Place a star anise under your pillow to help with bad dreams. I’ve had this issue as well. Horrible and very vivid dreams. I learned to put this under my pillow and it has helped greatly.
I love seeing your home. It inspires me so much. Since u asked for tips on what to do with your bedroom... and this is just what i would do, I would have painted all the walls green. I am obsessed with green, it's the only colour I can live in because it is so calming and safe and it makes me feel like I am in nature. So if u are allowed to paint the walls, I'de do that. And long green velvet curtains looks good everywhere in my opinion😊🍄🧚♀️💚🍃

Yes! This is why I painted the large canvases! Also in our contract we aren't meant to paint the walls but directly asked our landlords and they said no problem... it was so confusing lol! Xxx

Maybe a nice old pine wardrobe for the hall then put a trailing plant on top of it and nice storage boxes as well, you could even put a shoe rack inside the wardrobe then clutter hidden, hope this helps x love your videos and your home, blessings 🙏💜x

I think for the bedroom I would possibly paint the furniture from white to some olive green then add/draw some ivy,mushrooms on it.That’s what I’ll be doing with Nina room.❤

Love the tour of your home. As for advice on your entrance hall and your bedroom, these are some ideas. I would place a large hall tree either in wood or green with pegs, a bench, and compartments below the bench for shoe or storage. In the bedroom, a mural of a forest and the rest of the wall painted

I would love to see you design the boughs of trees hanging from the ceiling in the hallway! It's the tunnel into your home, perhaps a tunnel of trees, similar to the tree you created for your living room.

You have a lovely home Alwyn! I agree with some of the other commenters about adding tree branches, ivy, to the ceiling of the hallway since any thing on the floor would get in the way. As for the bedroom, I think new curtains and bedding would work wonders, as the blue does not seem to match your vibes. Also maybe painting the walls in that soft chestnut brown would make it feel softer in there. A big mirror on the blank wall would bounce light around and make it brighter.

I like seeing how people who live, live. For your foyer decor, I suggest you look into fengshui. The foyer is super important because it becomes the symbolic space of the energies you are inviting in and the energies you do not want to invite.
Oh you could do an enchanted corridor in your little hall way - another arch or even two with fairy lights and greenery. How magical would that look? Then you go through onto your cosy, foresty living room....

I hear them in my garden and I often wonder what on earth is going on, but in fact I think that's just the way they talk! I too am always re-arranging the furniture and I get quite frustrated when I want to move something in a particular spot, but it just doesn't fit!

Nice video☺️ I really enjoyed watching it. You got me thinking about dark bedroom. We are moving to a house and the bedroom is on north side. Has dark brown carpet,white walls and grey curtains. (high pattern recognition skills? impulsive? start a lot of things all the time, mostly don't finish them though (or finish them in tears of blood)? sometimes unable to focus, sometimes unable to un-focus? seeking out adrenaline and other good joy/thrill hormones in amounts that seem a little much for most people in your life? look into it)
