Advance Driving School hi my test is next week i just want to know is it very important to park only under the lines when u r asked to reverse park in a bay .. i mean can reverse park but some times i do go out of the line can this leads to fail me in test
Advance Driving School , thank you very much for making these very helpful videos , Do you any driving lessons ? If so please let me know ASAP Thank you
Advance Driving School hi can you tell me how many lessons we need like for automatic driving ? And after how many lessons better to book the test ? Please reply?
The DVSA state that the average person has 47 hours of lessons before passing their test - but we have had people pass with less than half this amount, and more than double. Only book the test when you are ready - and it will take as long as it takes. Don’t rush anything and put yourself in danger 👍🏼
I passed with 1 minor. My tips are check your mirrors before you indicate to go onto a new road then check your mirrors again when you’re on the new road.
Now I can finally say I'm part of the 'passed my test but still watching' group! Thank you so much for your helpful and in depth videos. One month leading up to my test I watched your videos day in day out and they really helped me. I passed today on my 3rd time with only 3 minors. After my 2nd fail I had no confidence and really wanted to give up but I'm so glad I never 😅. For anyone taking their test soon my only real advice is: 1. Get a good nights sleep 2. Eat a good 'brain food' breakfast 3. Don't drive too much before your test but do carry out a few things you're not too confident on 4. TRY to stay calm (easier said than done) and don't worry too much about any faults you think you've made . Just stay collected, positive and keep going! 5. Keep studying and watching lots of videos, they really do help Good luck everyone! 🚗

It’s a really old video, but this has some great ideas: How To Control Your Driving Test Nerves | Learn to drive: Nerves & Anxiety ua-cam.com/video/58ls-Cuc7vw/v-deo.html 👍🏼
My test is on June. But I am facing a problem while driving. I feel sleepy n bored while driving for an hour or so.. is it only me .!? How can I get rid of it?
We must check our mirrors before pulling away, and during a manoeuvre. It is also wise to check over your shoulder before changing lanes - especially if there is traffic nearby. Any time you think there might be danger nearby - check your blind spots. 👍🏼
Been riding motorcycles for 6 years though in those four years have done 100s of miles. My current bike is a Suzuki GSX 1400 and bought it with 7k miles on the clock just nearly 3 years ago and it's now up to over 40k miles. Was the same with my previous two bikes. I've recently starting to learn to drive a car which I already know how to drive one as in operate them and I obviously know how to use the road in general however the one thing I'm struggling slightly with is the size of the car and being able to judge gaps correctly on a bike it's easy as I'm central to the bike. Do you have any tips or advice on how to best get used to the physical size of a car?
This video might help you get used to general positioning on the road: ua-cam.com/video/8-RI8da-qZc/v-deo.html and otherwise just never try and squeeze through any gaps! I’m sure you will get used to it with a little practice 🚙👍🏼
I want to book my test for end of month but there no times available at the test centre I’m looking to take my test at. The next one is a month later. I don’t think i need more lessons so what do I do? How will I know if any slots will become available?
We would recommend keeping regular lessons going while you wait, otherwise your skills will slip. Keep checking all local test centres and book whatever is available. The waiting time for a test is usually much longer in summer, so book it while you can!
Hi there, Love your channel. Just a quick question about using handbrake while you are waiting on the traffic light. Is that a requirement during the test? Some instructors say yes, others say no? What is your opinion about this? Thank you 😊
Hi I've just started learning driving and I've got an issue with staying in my lane just I'm scared of staying in one side and I feel more safe in middle but isn't right. Any advice please
Thanks for the tips. I kept looking as far as I could (100m is the KEY to give me the best idea) with eyes moving around. Finally I passed today in my first attempt with only 2 minor faults :) Without this video, I don’t think I get the most important part about what planning actually is!
We never do U-turns as they are really dangerous! It is far safer to turn into a side road, turn around, and then rejoin the main road in the correct direction. We have already made a video called ‘How to steer a car’ 👍🏼
Since we are steering to the left to leave the roundabout, the left mirror is usually best to check. However, if you want to you can check other mirrors. 👍🏼

In which city is this video taken?Nice roads! Can we have a video for correct usage of mirriors, and when necessary to use them?ie.Before moving off use....when changing lanes use....It is impoetant I need to know.Thank you for the great videos.
We usually film in Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk. We have already made a video called 'Effective Mirror Checks' - you can watch it here: ua-cam.com/video/2UqvLUWhKuU/v-deo.html
We would visit the opticians - they are the experts with eyesight! The only legal stipulation is that we must be able to read a car registration plate at a distance of 20.5 metres.
Love the videos, however i was just wondering if you could touch upon how they conduct the eyesight test right in the begining, how far the distance of 20 meteres is and an example or like an estimate of how far or near that is.
They do the eyesight test before getting into the car at the start. We have to read a car registration plate at 20.5 metres, which is about 4 car lengths. This should be easy for most people, but I have seen a couple fail this - which ends the test straight away!
To even have a driving license in the U.K. the minimum standard of eyesight is the ability to read a car registration plate at a distance of 20.5 metres - so everyone should be able to see far enough to forward plan effectively 👍🏼
I wear glasses and nothing stopped me from passing. On the test they'll give a decent distant sight test looking at a car reg which all you have to do is read it. Although I shown off a little by reading the phonetic alphabetic lol
It would’ve been more helpful if there were actual visual examples of mistakes/ potential mistakes being made, followed by an analysis of what should’ve been done or visual examples of how to use observation more effectively in real life driving situations, with hazards circled in the video. It was a lot more talking in the video. *World Driving* has a lot more visual examples in their videos if you are unsure what I mean. So sorry if it sounds like I’m complaining but this video includes such a great tip but it won’t be understood by everyone without visual examples 😕
Thanks for the feedback. There were plenty of hazards as we drove through town, and you can see that we slow down in case any of them ‘developed’ and forced us to stop. Maybe next time we’ll try to highlight them somehow to make it more obvious 👍🏼
Could anyone tell me whether I'm allowed to open my door at the end of reversing into a bay manoeuvre to check that I'm within the lines? My instructor told me this isn't allowed but I've been told by other people that it's allowed 😕
That's great, thanks for your speedy reply! Would you suggest using the hand brake before opening the door? Asking because my instructor told me that once I use my handbrake that means I've officially finished the manoeuvre.
We haven't heard that said about the handbrake. Just so there is no doubt about what you are doing, you could always tell the examiner that you haven't finished before you have a look. In our experience we can see in the side mirrors if we are in or not, so don't often open the door.
Great video! Im a driver and have a question about the Fiesta ST, is it a comfortable drive and how do you find the petrol, does it get used quickly? Im excited to get one but have a few doubts. Thanks
It’s a fun car to drive, but I wouldn’t necessarily call it ‘comfortable’ as the suspension is quite firm. Fuel economy is good for a car of this power at about 40mpg. If you enjoy driving and like a responsive car you’ll love it!

Yes, as long as it fits the requirements here:
www.gov.uk/driving-test/using-your-own-car 👍🏼
What about eye sight e.g. short sighted long sighted does the distance change?
To even have a driving license in the U.K. the minimum standard of eyesight is the ability to read a car registration plate at a distance of 20.5 metres - so everyone should be able to see far enough to forward plan effectively 👍🏼
I wear glasses and nothing stopped me from passing. On the test they'll give a decent distant sight test looking at a car reg which all you have to do is read it. Although I shown off a little by reading the phonetic alphabetic lol
My driving test is today, my Jesus will help me to pass. Thank you for the video
Hi, Good Job :)
Nice
can i drive electric car by holding manual driving licence in uk ?
Electric cars are classed as an automatic - so anyone with a manual or automatic driving license can drive one. 👍🏼
@@AdvanceDrivingSchool thank you
Could anyone tell me whether I'm allowed to open my door at the end of reversing into a bay manoeuvre to check that I'm within the lines? My instructor told me this isn't allowed but I've been told by other people that it's allowed 😕
We don’t see the problem with a little look 👍🏼
That's great, thanks for your speedy reply! Would you suggest using the hand brake before opening the door? Asking because my instructor told me that once I use my handbrake that means I've officially finished the manoeuvre.
We haven't heard that said about the handbrake. Just so there is no doubt about what you are doing, you could always tell the examiner that you haven't finished before you have a look. In our experience we can see in the side mirrors if we are in or not, so don't often open the door.
Where is this shot?
Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.
@@AdvanceDrivingSchool its gorgeous
Where in the Uk is this?
We live in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.
On a weekday , when Is the quietest time
To take your test ?
At our test centre, between 9:30 and 11:30 has the least traffic 👍🏼
Thank you mam
