The young people she was hanging out with were singing dancehall music and using some Jamaican expressions. I also see more people on the Streets with Rastafarian hair styles and using Rastafarian expressions than I see in Jamaica. Maybe you are very young so you always have seen those things so you start believing that they emerge out of the Trinidad culture. You Trinis. Are a frightening set of people. What is it about Jamaica that always get you angry when anyone say anything positive about it. If she had said England or Kenya or any other country was her favourite country your next question would be how much it cost to fly there. Truly loving your country is like truly loving your parents or your children. You don’t care what anyone thinks about them and you don’t compare them to other parents or other children. Maybe that is the true edge that Jamaicans have over you Trinis ie the undying love of their country and culture no matter the negative press and bad labels. Others can see that in them and celebrate them for it. Try to learn from them

And the amount of of Jamaicans In Trinidad on any kind of permanent or long term basis can fit in a small stadium. So I don’t know how you draw the conclusion that amount of Jamaicans in a population of 1.5 million population of Trinidad is a lot. Worry about the Venezuelans because with their 30 million population if more of them migrate to your country you will not have a country to talk about. If you know how bad Latin Americans treat black peoples in the country where they are the majority you will realize that the future of Trinidad is not bright. Not to mention that South Asian are already the largest ethnic group in your country and I don’t need to go into how they feel about black people. At least we Jamaican have no population threat by any other races. And no matter where Jamaicans migrate for opportunity they always know they have a home to go back to. And please be grateful that Jamaicans and other English speaking Caribbean people are migrating to your country because they are the only ones keeping your country from all out racial war. Because if any other group other than Afro Trinidadian in power it’s going to be unacceptable by the Black Trinidadians who have held power for almost the entire time since independence. Notice how racial tensions and the start of social deterioration of Trinidad society started when the Indian dominated party came to power. This happened on account of black resentment of having no power in their own country since Indians already had the economic power and blacks needed political power to balance things. The young people she was hanging out with were singing dancehall music and using some Jamaican expressions. I also see more people on the Streets with Rastafarian hair styles and using Rastafarian expressions than I see in Jamaica. Maybe you are very young so you always have seen those things so you start believing that they emerge out of the Trinidad culture. Just a few days ago I was reading that Trinidadian are saying that their big crime problem was because of the young people are copying Jamaican culture. Which is kind of interesting because Jamaica with 100 percent Jamaican culture is only rank 10 place in crime in the World while Trinidad is rank 6th
