Great to see you back! I’d probably go budget. Clean and tidy. Leaves more money to spend on other things (like sparkling wine 🍾 ). Can’t wait for more instalments !
Honestly as a solo traveller, the budget hotel is *outrageously* good value! Comfy bed, fridge, ensuite bathroom and better internet speeds than my actual house?! Sign me up! Lovely to see you making videos again too, found you via the appearance in Geoff Marshall's Lumo video and this is fab stuff :)
I’m in Vilnius yesssssss been here for 5 days the people are fantastic it’s spotless everything is within walking distance. London grill is fantastic. Book a ticket
As I'm normally on a solo holiday I'd go for budget, although tbf the room size, mini fridge and insane wifi make it great value. Yet another stellar video guys!
So true! For a mini break like that it's not worth it to make your own internet arrangements so you're dependant on having good hotel WiFi. If I'm doing a trip like that then I'm reading all the reviews about hotel WiFi that I can, before I book (But if I'm on a longer trip and have an esim, that's when I might consider boutique or alternate options, where the experience might be fun but the WiFi probably sucks)
They all look great value for what they are. I'd probably go for the mid-range - a bit of comfort. I'd put up with the poor WiFi as hopefully I'd be too busy out exploring Vilnius.
Oh man I was so excited to see a UA-cam video from you and it did not disappoint! You all crack me up and still manage to inform me. Another great video!
I could happily stay at the budget hotel. Clean and functional with decent wifi and you can grab breakfast and coffee at a nice cafe with some of the money you saved. A night at the spa hotel is worth considering though.
I thought the budget option was incredible value and would be my pick, especially as a predominantly solo traveller. However, if I feel that the luxury option is worth it then I have no objection to treating myself (but usually only once in a trip, or sometimes it's if I have the points - although I'm more likely to use that on an airport hotel for convenience). Also, I have an interesting scale for what constitutes great value. I think you need to put "experience" as a factor when you're weighing up your options. Sometimes, by booking certain accommodation it qualifies you for certain experiences (eg. boat cruise, tour, dinner - sometimes the accommodation is a prerequisite and sometimes the experience is complementary with the booking) and sometimes the accommodation *is* the experience (eg. a barge b&b, a tree house, even a vintage b&b etc). I like to consider all the available options when I travel and then decide what is the best value for me, for that trip (bcos, let's face it, every trip is different)
Good informative video but something that I would have like to hear is sound proof. For me a good night sleep is essential. Partially if it good location and in centre. Here something that's important to me
Hi Chelsea & James, when are you putting out the video comparing the 5 star all inclusive resorts that I’ve heard James talking about on Chris Moyles show?
Budget or luxury, when I do go somewhere I mostly stay budget but if going for a decent amount of time, couple of nights in a luxury spa type place to relax is always good.
That mid range one is probably the one I'd book with my own money, I'd put up with the slow WiFi as I'd be using it in the evening for a few hours. The cheap one is amazing value but I enjoy other people cooking my breakfast
Luxury wins, the added comfort but better Wi-Fi than the mid-range takes it to the top. The position in the old town is great too. Mid-range would win if the wi-fi was better.
@@CheapHolidayExpert Oh yes, you Brits now have to rely on wifi when on the continent, don't you? :) It is really weird actually. I don't think Vilnius is to much different from Riga, where it is easier to get 1Gbps connection in the "suburbs" (those ugly blocks of flats most people associate with ex-USSR countries) than it is in town center. Especially - in the Old Town. But, since unlimited data plans are common now, and cell coverage in our flat landscape countries is pretty good, most people care little about public wifi speeds.
Staying in a wide range of hotels for both pleasure and work I've found the expensive hotels are not worth the money and budget/low mid range ones are usually much nicer. The main problem I have when travelling for pleasure is trying to find a place with 2 beds since I am usually travelling with a friend. Hotel booking sites do not make that easy unless you search saying it is for 3 adults.
That's really interesting. I find that with most luxury hotels the main noticeable difference is the service. Yes, the thread count may be higher but its often things that to my unsophisticated self I wouldn't recognise. And when it comes to service... Sometimes you don't need amazing service and very good is just fine. Hahaha. Having said all of this, £155 a night for a 5 star stay is great and so perhaps I'll just stick to treating myself in cheap destinations!!
Greetings from İstanbul, I'd go with middle range. I didn't really like the luxurious one, and the ceiling is the problem with budget, if the ceiling had been normal, I would have chosen it!
It was VERY WHITE. To the extent that I only saw 3 people who weren't white (2 were Indian and 1 was Amerian-Chinese) were fellow tourists. I asked on my instagram and the general gist is that some didn't experience any issues at all but others noticed people watching, etc. and those who'd travelled outside of the capital had experienced comments.
Budget for me all the way. I'm happy to pay quite a bit for places to stay but only if they offer something unique or really special. Otherwise, I just want the basics. The luxury room looked quite generic and small, didn't have a bath and had such slow internet. I wouldn't really use most of the features it had that the budget place didn't so why not save my money for exploring the city!
Great to see you back! I’d probably go budget. Clean and tidy. Leaves more money to spend on other things (like sparkling wine 🍾 ). Can’t wait for more instalments !
So nice to be back! And yeah, it was very good for the price!

I absolutely agree - what a steal for a clean and comfy space bang smack in the old town!!!
And that's amazing - god love Geoff's channel. Haha!
1:21 "Oh what's this? A sour cherry drop" I saw you clock those sweets before you even sat down 😂 I'd be on that as well 🍬

I really wasn't expecting a fridge - a really great extra!!!

Yeah, we only noticed when we tested as we'd mostly just been on 4G!
This was so well done! Fun watch
Ah cheers Kate!
That floofy dog behind you in the intro stole my heart. I'd go budget two nights luxury last night all the way. These are my favourite videos. 🎉🎉🎉
I knowwwww when I was editing I was like HOW DID I MISS THE DOG?
Oh man I was so excited to see a UA-cam video from you and it did not disappoint! You all crack me up and still manage to inform me. Another great video!
Oh Maureen, thanks for coming back to watch!! More videos to come soon!
I think I would go for the budget hotel, or the boutique one, or otherwise a chain hotel. Its great to see you two here on UA-cam!
Good to see a new upload, hope to see more in 2022!
Just posted a new video so already doing better than the last 5 months - haha! Thanks for coming back!!

Love this format! I think I’d go mid range
Cheers Alex!!
Mid range all the way, it looked great. James just loves his wifi!
HE REALLY DOES
I would save money at the budget one, and throw out money in the city .💸💸
Loved the concept of the video 🤌🏽
Ah thank you!! Hope to do it again!!
Mid range for me, got to keep some of that budget for activities and shopping!
It's a good compromise!

Great Video looking forward to the next one
Ah thanks Josh!
I never thought I'd say this but luxury!
DONNA YOU HAVE CHANGED

Yeah, the spa was a lovely perk!!

It was really great value - especially considering the location! And I'm hoping the mid range were having a bad day when it came to the wifi!!
Definitely with Chelsea on this one. The mid range is the one for me.
It was lovely!

In the budget hotel you could always move the pillows to the other end of the bed to avoid a bump in the morning!
Now Karen, that's far too clever... 😂
is this is suitable safe country related to othere, for foreigner
Greetings from İstanbul, I'd go with middle range. I didn't really like the luxurious one, and the ceiling is the problem with budget, if the ceiling had been normal, I would have chosen it!
Is it safe for coloured people to travel there?

I’d go for the budget hotel as I never spend that much time in the hotel when traveling.
Yes! If you've got loads planned then a clean room and a comfy bed is PERFECTION!
Budget all the way, but the spa and breakfast might make me splurge for one night at the luxury depending on the trip.
Yeah, I love a one night treat!!
As a solo, id probably go budget and last night with a spa 😁
Budget has quicker internet than most. Seems comfortable enough
Insane speeds 😂

The budget place was really great for the money!! It's hard to beat that!
Luxury sees the best accessibility wise
Neringa has accessible rooms also but yeah, I don't think Jolly Apartments would work!
Neringa is about right. But, it depends...
Hotel is for poopin, showering, and sleeping.
Find the cheapest ... then go for the next one up. You want clean, not fancy.
I swing from this to wanting full blown luxury CONSTANTLY!
I’d go for wherever old mate James is
Budget is best value - no point spending money on the room if your not spending much time there! More money for the next holiday!
The code for the door was 1234 wasn’t it…
