- Olaplex have recently released a dry shampoo and oh boy, I have thoughts! For me, this is the worst olaplex release yet and considering I am a huge advocate of the brand and dry shampoo, I never thought I'd say that.

I actually like this dry shampoo, if used correctly, not waiting until hair is super super greasy.. it truly detoxifies. Leaves my hair feeling suuuuper soft. And when I brush it out I can see all the dusty fluffy stuff on my brush. I never let my hair get greasy, I wash my hair.
As a mum to young children, I definitely want a dry shampoo that helps to fight grease and give the appearance of clean hair - I’ve tried several that do this, this however doesn’t perform as I’d expect from the brand or for the price point! Pleased you love it though, just not one I’d buy again or recommend based on so many others working better☺️
The living proof advanced dry shampoo is on another level I use that when my hair is greasy and it geunuly looks like it’s been washed and makes my hair feel and smell clean it’s the best!!

Thanks for watching! I review a huge range of dry shampoos and start off at a similar point - many are able to mask the oil much more effectively - this, not so much. For the price I expected to see a much bigger difference.

Was such a let down! Unfortunately I had to have the quickest hair wash shower ever in the hope to recover my hair so definitely not a fan 😭
I’m so disappointed with it too! I only got 3 uses out of it and then it stopped spraying even though I could feel there was still product in it. I exchanged it for a new one but I should’ve just returned it! I could use half the can and it still looks oily! I’m sure they will reformulate.. I love olaplex but not 4D:(
Honestly the build of the product, let alone the product inside, is so disappointing! Pleased they replaced it for you but for the price, I wish you also had a better experience 💔
I had the same experience. So disappointed. Complete waste of $30
Definitely not a strong release from them - and their recent launch of an eyelash serum feels even further away from their brand legacy 🤔
I know you test a lot of products but what are your favourite products? The ones you use often or part of your routine? Orrr you could update us on products you initially liked but no longer like?
I always forget to film a video about my favourite products but this is my reminder to do so asap!!

I think your hair is waaaay to greasy for dry shampoo. I usually use it before going to sleep,without brushing it out and i can go another full day without washing my hair.
I test all dry shampoos the same on my channel and putting it to the test to see just how effective it can be - unfortunately this didn’t perform as well as much more affordable or other high end brands. I am however super pleased it worked for you as there’s nothing worse than spending a lot on a product for it not to be effective ☺️

I used it today and I used it on second day hair to keep texture and clean feel . Your hair is passed the point of dry shampoo. U need a wash not dry shampoo 🙈
I test and try all dry shampoos in the same way and others performed incredibly well, I’ve tried this as a refresh spray and it still isn’t great unfortunately!
The best dry shampoo I've ever used is superdrugs own brand volume. The only downside is that I feel like it could be quite damaging.

I had the same experience. I used it on day 3 and it made no difference at all. If using it correctly means using it on day 1 or day 2 then whats the point. Thanks for the video!
Absolutely - I need a dry shampoo to do what it needs to do as a busy mumma, if it’s just for styling then I have plenty of sprays that help add volume/texture 🤷🏼♀️ especially for the price, Olaplex should have done better!

Hey! Thanks for you comment, I mentioned at the start that I allowed my hair to get oily in order to test just how well this dry shampoo works. Some dry shampoos are able to hide and conceal effectively, however this wasn't as durable or effective. Trying a dry shampoo on clean hair wouldn't make for a very thorough or fair review.
Exactly! So many others try out these products on freshly washed hair, just looking for volume and you can’t tell how they work at all. A lot of us get oils from all our face products and spfs too, and it’s great to see what works!
