My Dad spun a lot Johnny albums when I was a little kid. I’ll be 55 next week and still listening to him. My Dad passed over 30 years ago so this one is just a little more special as I play this one for him.
I went to a guitar store to check out guitars. People were playing these elaborate fingerboard riffs. Very intimidating. I started playing Landslide from your lesson, even sang a couple bars, and everybody turned around and noticed. Thank you from all the guitarists like me that think they're never good enough.
so hard for this 62 year old lol. started playing a few years ago and ive finally improved enuf to start trying these type of classic tunes. like your style . thc
I really enjoy the way you teach guitar. It’s very calm and relaxed. I’ve learnt so much already! I’m not usually a country fan but I’ve got a soft spot for Johnny Cash & it’s so much fun to play. Best wishes to you, your wife and lovely dog🙂
Hello, Ive been watching your video on repeat! I got my first guitar a few days ago and now I have finally sort of got the intro down. Im trying to move into the strumming and chords now, but am slightly confused about the boom-chick-a sound. I can get the boom-chick, but the last part is hard! When you go up, do you strum all the way up, or do you pick the sixth string up on the way back towards the top?? Thank you, love the video!!
Im a true beginner and enjoy your lessons, but confused as you say you play the 2nd fret, but it looks like its the 3rd? If you put the capo on the 1st fret, then do you now consider your second fret your new 1st and the same goin on down the line? If the capo is on the 3rd fret then does yoir fourth fret become your first for that song? Is this typical?

Stick with it. You only hit the first 3 or 4 strings on the upstrum. Don’t work about the 5th and 6th string.
On the boom chuck do you strum all 6 strings down after picking the root note or just from A down
Just from A down
Ty got that rift down pat now as well@@Relaxandlearnguitar
Nice.
Thanks!
