That mini butane gas burner is impressive
Not so mini😮😮😮
Just got back from my trip, loved the all spark red light LED bar that I saw on your channel. Zero bugs, the yellow camping light attracted more bugs with 10% the light output !!
Love the setup man. It looks sensational. Quick tip for the travel oven which I did with mine. They actually ideally run better at 14v (13.8v) rather than 12v (it’ll still work at 12v anyways). You can buy a little voltage converter which turns your 12v to 15v and it no joke cooks your stuff twice as quick (it does use more amps however if you do the math you run the whole thing for less time so ends up using less power overall). Personally best $40 upgrade I did to my travel oven. In saying all this if you are running while driving and have the dc dc going that’ll boost up the voltage and work the exact same, the voltage converter is more so if you are already at camp.
Keen for all the videos and stuff to come of the travels and build
Great clip mate. Like your small gas stove Daniel, I've never seen one like that thanks for showing it
Nice work mate. You need to add a few more hand moves to your repertoire dude 😂
Nice set up. I've just removed my Travel Buddy after using it for 3 years and replaced it with an Air fryer whch can do a lot more than the TB..
What air fryer mate?
@@TimHuntAU Devanti. But I see K-Mart have some cheap ones now.
Great episode good content love the sleepless nights 😂
Since upgrading to a allspark lithium battery setup i can now run a 2000w inverter for thoes kinda cooking items i love my air fryer at home, i think the only fault mates have found with induction cooktops is if its accidently left out overnight it may get too cold to work as cam from wild touring found out with his, looking forward to more vids as i love that area ❤❤
Hows induction get too cold to function? Doesn’t make sense to me
@@BT_life2 if its left outside and being cold sometimes moisture can seep in and not work or throw an error code
I got one of those spider stove too as my back-up stove for the same reasons you've pointed out - ie. full size stove but packs really small. I got mine online which is half the price as the Campmaster version. But it looks almost identifical I wouldn't be surprised if they were made from the same factory.
What brand is the one you have? I'll have a look
lol. Doesn’t WA stand for Windy Always. No wonder you made the switch. I remember that cooking was a challenge when we were on our trip to the south west.
Butanes are good, all i use now. Buuut they don't like the cold weather. Little trick i was told, in cold weather keep the cannisters wrapped in towel/blanket/bedding. I haven't been in cold enough weather to see if actual cooking is affected. Looks like a great compact stove, will have to keep my eye out for one or two.
Have u try use stubby cooler to wrap it
I can confirm, below 10°C their performance starts to noticeably drop, and they're pretty much useless below 5°C. I don't know how it would work with the little compact unit he's shown us here, but on the standard butane cookers, I have seen people use a bit of aluminium or steel sheet metal (even just a piece of a drink can) under the burner into the gas can's compartment, to conduct some heat from the burner into the can in order to keep it warm enough.
I don't know how well just wrapping it in something would work, the problem is that as the cans empty, the internal temperature drops as the pressure drops and the liquid converts to a gas, so they really need to have heat added to the cans to keep the internal temperature up.
Those spider stoves are great! Better build quality and adjustment then the entry level butane stoves too. Saves heaps of space.
Absolutely! Been using it heaps over the past week and it’s been working really well 👌
@@explorebound do they flame-out in the wind like the cheaper ones do?
I will rather get snow peak one, while they on sale in Amazon
@@scottpage81 the flame seems stronger but the wind protection isn't great. I use a guard with mine.
Can you use a Colman folding oven on it?
Nifty gadgets
Newman locals call that place sandy creek, really nice location
Unreal spot!
Can I get the stove from BCF
You might have mentioned it but I missed it but what size batteries and inverter are you using to run this set up?
Hey mate! I'm running a 2000W inverter, and the battery is a 400Ah lithium but that's probably overkill haha.
Your so clever too work out that cooking set up
Fuck
Noice....
why would you not buy a Australian made and owned travel buddy oven instead. Dont feel like supporting Australian company's that have there products mass produced and stolen?
I don't want to be that guy, but he's not exactly one to hide the fact that he works with anaconda (it's literally on the website). Dune is an anaconda brand and you can probably see why.
Travel buddy door sucks. The latch is so much better, plus the glass window. If tb ever update their design it might improve but the other products on the market outclass it now for less.
There’s better copies of the travel buddy, if tb upped their game and improved their own product I would buy one but they don’t so I won’t.
@bryce6267 is the same bloke that runs Kings awnings/Roof top tent and a Temu heated blanket. Eat the corn out of someone else's sh*t mate.
Bahahaha! Portable ovens aren’t rocket science.
