I just saw the movie, and it was incredible. But Emma REEEEEAAAALLLLY drags the ensemble talent down. Whenever she's on screen it's like the quality just takes a dive. Recast her and the film would be spotless
@Gary Daniel then how do you explain watching HER LITTLE WOMEN INTERVIEW? People are so busy thinking about how to make themselves cool and careless that they forget their own plot holes. You're embarassing.
I haven't seen the movie yet, so I really cannot judge Emma#s performance, but I know the story, including as played by other actresses - and I knoiw that Emma is deicively feminist, which is why she turned down Cinderella as too much of a "doormat". So I was really shocked when I heard Emma would be playing Meg, the daughter who ends up in the traditional role of woman at the time - having a husband and children - and is also anxious about fulfilling it well. I really would have expected her to play Jo in view of what she usually stands for. Which is not to say that Saoirse ought not to have played the part - I'm sure she did well, and I am really planning to see the movie and judge for myself.
I think Emma has talent and that she can be a good actress but I feel that her self-awareness or judgement can be quite off at times in her performances. I don't think she's terrible in any of her movies but every movie I've seen her in, there's a moment or 2 where I've thought her facial expression doesn't match the correct emotion of the character in a particular scene or she'll be really intense in a certain scene but then the energy level of her performance deflates just moments later. I think if she'd pay a bit more attention to her continuity then her acting would be stronger.
She's very eloquent. You can tell she really thinks hard before saying something.
Eloquent?

Wendy Pastore I doubt a could name 10 blockbusters period. But i know for a fact there are plenty of lead roles for women. In fact, it is pretty much shoved down our throats on a daily basis.
I love you Emma
I just saw the movie, and it was incredible. But Emma REEEEEAAAALLLLY drags the ensemble talent down. Whenever she's on screen it's like the quality just takes a dive. Recast her and the film would be spotless
You've watched the film before it came out...? Seriously...?
@Gary Daniel then how do you explain watching HER LITTLE WOMEN INTERVIEW? People are so busy thinking about how to make themselves cool and careless that they forget their own plot holes. You're embarassing.
@@weasley2o13 I saw a screening
