I'm 62 years old. This has to be the most genuinely emotive and inspiring interview I've ever had the pleasure of listening to.Thank you Chris, I've learned a lot from you.
I recently discovered this “band” duet ( another story) ( Thank you Spotify) my new found favorite “band”....now I know why. Great work on the podcast.
I have to say, the most unique sounding blues rock band out there and I believe they are criminally unknown still, they are as good as any of the bands that came before them. They are a 3 piece now btw
I think this band changed my life a bit, its weird they are not monster big yet but they will be, I found them by Spotify suggested artist sounds like. Now I learning their songs and honing in on the sound I want. this was the sound I've been looking for along with some other great bands carrying the heavy bluesy rock banner into the 21st century, like Tyler Bryant, blackwater fever, John the conqueror, blue stones and others. but the cold stares are the top. Im not surprised how open and honest and human Chris is. I also believe in god in growing times where so many people don't, which is fine and I have far from lived a sinless life. But faith and belief carries me through the good and bad. I hope one day my Band Jody Black will back up gig for the Cold Stares. Awesome band, awesome interview bro!!!
Great interview. Nicely done ! A lot of insight into a great guy I've known for years. None of their success comes as a surprise. They've earned it and I know there's more to come. When is the interview with Brian ? Beautiful story.

That Custom Shop Meteora behind Chris is my favorite guitar ever!
I love the Mountain album and all of their albums. Hearing what he was going through during the Mountain album makes it even better.
