My gate is 1 3/8" but your link for hinge pin is 1 5/8" and link for hinge is 1 3/8. Is that correct to get 1 5/8 for post and 1 3/8 to connect to gate? Ty! Video was exactly what I needed to see.
Yes, these are the correct links! The hinge pin is actually 5/8, it's for the smaller part of the hinge. The 1 3/8" hinge dimension is for the larger steel pipe of the gate. Does that make sense? Hard to explain without showing you a diagram. I hope that helps! Let me know if you think my information might be in error.
The hardware I used can be tightened with a nut, so there is no risk of the gate lifting off, unless the nut loosens and the gate is lifted by force. It's been nearly a year and it's still in excellent shape. Thanks for watching!
The frame of the gate is 1 and 3/8 inch steel pipe, which determines the size of hinge and hinge plate you use. In terms of the gate's dimensions, I THINK it is 4x3.5 ft, but I could be wrong.

It depends on the diameter of the pipe frame of your gate. Can you go measure it? If it's 1-3/8" (which is most common) then get that one. Amazon lets you choose the size you need. Fortunately they're not super expensive, so if you get the wrong one, no big deal. Good luck on your project!
I've never worked with a circular post, but I don't see why this same method wouldn't work. Depending on the width of the post, the anchoring plates might not sit flush. You may need to use shims or something so the plates are flush with the curved surface.

Will not the fence lift right off the hinges unless you install one of the hinges facing downward?

Use whatever washers fit your screws. I just used washers that I had in my spare hardware.

The fence is 4 feet or 1.2 meters tall. The posts are 8 feet or 2.4 meters.
