@Algoldprospecting yea that could happen. Dream Mat does make a dredge mat which is gaining traction as of late, so it is always an option, but you do what you’re comfortable with :) And man am I jealous that you can use a 4 inch dredge!!! I’d love to be able to use one here

Hey Bart! Thanks for commenting and the support. I really appreciate it. As to answer your question, ever since I was introduced to Dream Mat I’ve always found more gold. Now of course the more material you run through it your chances get higher, but what I’ve found is that it captures more gold in the cells and doesn’t allow it to blast out the other end of the sluice. I know many people who have converted to using one of these and they are never going back to the old ways. I have more videos showing this on my channel. I hope that answered it for you and good luck out there! There’s riches to be made by all!

You could have just shown a photo of the sluice and a photo of the gold and that sums up your tape.
EXCEPT you showed your feed rate and the size of the material you feed it.
How long did it take you to go from an empty bucket , fill it up ready to process , and fed it all in till the bucket was once more empty again ?
My guess is the whole day.
Watch out… He’s BACK!!!!! Fiddler, my man! You’ve made it my whole purpose in life just to impress you one time! Lol! Maybe one day right?!?! Hey I was trying to keep it short and sweet and not drone and drone and drone! I think 4 minutes is perfect! But to answer your questions… this thing rocks! Took me about 25 minutes to classify about 3.5 gallons of material and then running it though the sluice took about 30-45 minutes. Filming always takes the longest part. I can process way faster than my Keene. It seems like I can just dump a shovel full right after another and it does it’s job. Super impressed! Until next time……… 😎 Stoney
@@StoneyCreekSparkchaser Tape length of 4 minutes or 40 minutes is all good , that is not my issue , although the longer the better.
I don't do it , but if you gonna make a tape demonstrating something , then you need to know what that is , and you need to know that the tape achieved that.
My tapes are simply documenting my day out , just to share for whoever wants to know what they missed out on.
So looks like it took you an hour to run a good size bucket.
So 6 hours would run you 6 buckets.
Counting lost time setting up camera and other stuff where this and that are done , 6 buckets looks like your lot for the day.
My buckets are half your size , and I aim for over 20 buckets a day , often doesn't happen because I get sidetracked doing other stuff.
So I think you need to up your quota to 10 or 12 buckets.
Maybe classify not so small , or maybe pour the material a bit quicker than a tablespoon at a time.

Definitely can’t go wrong with that set up, I also have the 8x35 Bigfoot sluice as well. Bigger yes, but still versatile. Whats also great about using dream mat, is you can by a certain size sluice, and then buy multiple mats to fit your needs. I generally stay with the mini and vortex mat. Both work well. Also may I suggest getting a “prospecting” backpack. The more you can fit in your bag, the better, especially if you’re hiking for a while. I found a nice one on Amazon where I can fit my sluice in there, my pans, my little shovel, food, etc. makes all the difference
