A character who was meant to be your worst nightmare, someone who would kill your friends over and over, someone who would make you feel the pain of 1,000,000 deaths is scared of you. It's absolutely terrifying.

I would hate to be Flowey in this situation. When I saw the Neutral/Pacifist, Flowey was literally the scariest person in the game to me. To see HIM scared, though, that makes Chara someone I don’t want to be looking directly at.

Flowey is like the most evil entity in the game if you're in the Neutral/Pacifist route; a selfish, psychopathic being bent on sating his desire to feel "alive" again, even if it means risking the whole monster race from being saved. He's one of the characters that you'd expect the least to be afraid of someone, because it should be everyone fearing him. But then Chara comes in and he's pissing his pants lmao, even revoked his "kill or be killed" motto. He knows he's not the greater evil anymore and that realization is why he's scared.

It was at this moment Flowey knew he and Frisk weren't the same, he was happy with Frisk killing everyone in the beginning but as time went on he probably became worried that he himself would meet the same fate as all the other monster in the underground now knowing he was at Frisk's mercy. It is a possibility that Asriel's soul returned and he was terrified of what he pressured Frisk to become hence why he tried to get on Frisk's good side by killing Asgore, however, that proved to be his undoing as showing himself to Frisk and not dissapearing to somewhere else gave them the opportunity to finish Flowey off. It's pretty obvious Flowey was now terrified of what he had pressured Frisk to become... a mass genocidal serial killer that was empty inside and had no intention on working with Flowey.
I think this is the most disturbing part of the game; you have made the emotionless and unempathetic being-literally being incapable of feeling due to how he was made-scared of you.
This has got to be my favorite moment in the entire game. Flowey’s talking about you like he’s fantasizing about when he and Chara were friends, and he assumes you still like him and want to renew your relationship. Then he realizes all at once that Chara hates him for getting himself killed, played him into attempting to kill humans, and will now kill him, and is visibly terrified. Plus the music is some of my favorite in the game.

Such a chilling idea for any story in general, the main antagonist feels true helpless and crippling fear for the first time in his life, and you earned it all by yourself. A murderer shaking in his roots at the very thought of a being even more dangerous than himself and it turns him into a pitiful coward begging his enemies for help. Now this little plant has realized just how wrong his belief was about “Kill or Be Killed” and is terrified he won’t be able to escape it.
Something i like to think that by default something soulless or not understands the concept of fear, just as a primal instinct you will know when you're in danger. Flowey might not be able to feel emotionally fearful but he can still feel fear physically he might not have a soul but he has a conscious and if your realizing that your possibly on a genocidal psychopaths hit list by pure instinct your gonna feel fear thus when he realizes this he instinctively starts shaking
