I would’ve thought dark willow would’ve been a better choice for the last enemy for the show, along with the first. Instead of trying to get willow to kill herself the first gave her an opportunity to restore Tara as a demon . The demon being the first as the soul

Think of it like government getting involved or corporations. Think fairly odd parents with Pixie World. That's the kind of imagination they have since they're all corporate leet trash

Precisely, Dark Josie is definitely inspired from this show! I am not sure if anyone from Buffy also worked on Legacies series, but Buffy The Vampire Slayer has been referenced in many other Vampire TV shows and movies. It would make sense that the writers of Vampire Diaries and Legacies just knew of Buffy and wanted to bring in elements in from the show.
