It looks better when an athlete dominates the race from lane 4 because of the camera angle Bolt's 9.63 from lane 7 looks a bit less impressive because it's harder to tell if he's ahead or behind relative to the rest of the field for the first 60m
This is a GREAT video, man! Thanks for posting. It would be awesome if you could create a similar video analysis for the men's 400 meters, where the staggered lanes really make a difference. We would see some old time names, like Alberto Juantorena from back in 1976 (44.26 from lane 2, which at the time was the sea-level WR), and Butch Reynolds from back in 1988 (43.29 from Lane 4), and of course, Van Niekerk's current WR, from Lane 8.
Lane 8 for men is Ryan Bailey, the text is on the right hand side of the screen as it was during the same race as Bolt for lane 7. As for Lane 9 for women, I didn't have the data for it but whatever the time was it would've been broken anyway by Richardsons 10.65
What's the 2nd fastest from Lane 5 after Flo-Jo's "10.49" & from Lane 8 after Marion's "10.65"? Ivet Lalova never truly achieved her potential in the sport!

Fun fact: Bolt 9.58, Bolt 9.69 and Blake 9.69 were all run in lane 4

Kishane Thompson ran 9.85 in lane 10 today. That has to be a record.

Loved the video! Would love to see a 200m version too
What about Lane 8 for men? And Lane 9 for women? Good idea for a video though

Update shacarri 10.65 in lane 9
make the same video with 60m and 200m maybe
This video just proves that lane 4 is the most overpowered lane
Great video idea but why is it re uploaded
Thanks, I changed the first clip of the fastest race in Lane 1 from Akani Simbine to Tryavon Bromell
@@sprintspeedmedia oh alright
you missed lane 8 or was that intentional?

@@maximuswhyteunless we are watching separate videos it literally says usain bolt lane 7
@@markn7882It says both because they both happened in the same race, look at the right hand side of the screen it says Ryan Bailey
