a video like this would have helped me a lot 15 years ago. great content
Never too late to get back into it 💪🏼
Millennials win baby
@ihateidz generation. That took the world to a new level
My elbows thank this man every damn push day 😂🙏🏻🙏🏻
Yep.. this has been my push day for almost two years, very well done gentlemen
You should start putting the exercises, sets, and the amount of reps you do in each exercise in the description box so we can follow slong
what the video? I mean pretty well explained
1-2 warm up sets (after you’ve stretched) 4-6 working sets if going heavy 6-8 reps moderate 8-10, light weight 10-12 (or 15 if you really want it to burn)
hahah bruv the goal isn’t to follow along, it’s to learn the concepts he’s explaining and apply it to your training. what joe and terrence are doing is exactly what is required for them, but is likely different for you- so rather than following the exact same rep scheme, like ^ said, watch the vid and apply the knowledge
@@BrianX1333 yeah they do 1-2 working sets lol
@@joshuapeek9555 it's all you need if you're going heavy and hard enough
The squeeze thing (imagining putting your hands together on the bar) is one of the best descriptions I’ve ever heard. Chest feeling have been soooo strong !
Thanks 🙏🏻
Good point in the less is more discussion. I've always figured that if you went to gun-to-your-head failure on a particular exercise then you wouldn't really be deriving much benefit from another exercise that's very similar to it so I really appreciate how you like to avoid exercises that would be fairly redundant.
This is exactly “Perfect Push Workout”.Good job coach 👍🏻
This workout is for getting Size, but for Sharpening you'll need to add more exercises or maybe sets.
Sharpening or cutting is not about more sets or more reps, its about nutrition, cardio and well designed smart program like this
This channel is gold.
👊🙏
I appreciate the 4k resolution.
Great info, going to be implementing this very workout into my schedule, learned so much past couple of months, keep up the good work and thank you
Just what's needed on International Chest Day
👍🏼
Good stuff 💪🏼 Could you do a video with some more back training tips next?
Hi Ronnie - I'm also a fan :)
Can you please do a video on how to make a power building(Bodybuilding focused while aiming to adding a respectable amount of weight onto the bug 3 compound movements) programmer even make it a series for your youtube.
Appreciate that Joe uncle.👍
love the channel, great insight and techniques. awesine content
Great content!!! Thank you Joe
Great job! I would add just a dip, because i like it and the pump is nice.
Yea weighted dips would be a perfect finisher and I would also add some sort of lateral raise
Thx coach i need this type of workout 🙏🏻🇮🇳
Loved it. Definitely need to perfect the hand sliding piece to fully engage my pecs. Will try 👍
Solid video 👍 I like the split narration
Thank you very much! This videos is great and its free
Great ! Thanks for sharing. Could we argue (for pleasure) that the perfect push would also have some type of reverse shrugs on a dip bar to target the pec minor and help push even more the upper pec fibers ? 🙂
Straight from the master
Awesome!!the ice technique is something I have always used to feel a better contraction,it’s nice to know it has some actual thought behind it!!
Great execution mate
So would you recommend the “less is more” aspect to everyone? Would the less is more approach still work for someone trying to lose weight? The reason for my question is that after a year of falling off the wagon I fell like I’ve finally been able to buckle myself back in. I’ve gained a good amount of fluff. Currently I am dieting and have had good adherence to my diet. Currently I am going into my workouts with energy while still averaging 1 pound of weight loss a week. Ive been keeping my energy expenditure roughly the same every day by hitting an calorie goal on my watch. I know that fitness trackers are not exact. I’m using it solely to ensure my activity level is not dropping due to a reduction of calories. However, often I have to do more sets to reach that caloric expenditure Goal on my watch. While trying to do minimal cardio due to an injured knee.
Love the channel and thank you for the helpful content.
I have stopped lifting for 6 years- i am 31 now - and was doing a 2x marathon during that time. Tissue loss was extrem and I starting getting back into it just for the feel.
If you stay consistant you will be amazed how fast everything is coming back, at least I am after after 3 months. And thats with a bad setup since gyms are closed in europe.
Honestly stay with it and dont worry about the results.
@@a1elon you will need atleast 2 years to get back to your old shape tho
CHEST DAY IS TOMORROW LESSSSGOO!!
Great video!
Great one man! Looking forward to next videos! 👊
Please do this with pull!!!!
I did
Big Joe!!!! Great content as usual!
Thanks for all your hard work and sharing of knowledge!
Not sure if I've missed it in a previous video(s) but can you please give your thoughts, opinions, and demonstration for your preferred movement(s) on how to develop the outer and outer lower pec?
Thanks!
I want the Shirt you have, w/o the Circle.. but I’ll Buy the other one cause it’s still dope😂
That’s an old one now. They all have the circle now 🤷♂️

@@HypertrophyCoach will do😂
When I do push ups I have used that techinque where I imagine my hands coming together and it makes such a freekin difference. I will try that with the bench now.
Underrated channel 👌
Terrific explanation. Thank you so much.
great content!
you saved my push workout
Great video. I noticed on the cable flyes that Terrance is doing it more like a cable press rather than a fly. It's different than the way you do it. Is there a reason behind that
More comfortable for him.
@@HypertrophyCoach great day coach. So in other words, if you're already doing incline BB. Adding incline DB makes no sense? Already doing flat BB, no need to include flat DB? 🤔 make sense!!💡
6:35 oh nice advice
Ruff dogg
Joe, whats your take regarding Doug brignole and his information regarding incline presses and overhead presses?
Don’t know who that is
@@HypertrophyCoach Haha. I don't think you are missing out on much but it would be entertaining to hear Joe's thoughts on his methodology.
@hypertrophycoach Thank you for all of the great content. Do you have a video where you discuss the best way to do a push/pull/legs workout twice a week? In other words, do you repeat the same push workout twice a week, or is the second push workout different? Appreciate any feedback!!
The Best
Can you put a link to what you are working with your tris? Thanks! Great videos as always. Wish I could work with ya!

This shit is awesome! And out on international chest day!
Algorithms thanks
Awesome do you run two rotations of a push session? Thanks 🙏
Will this be a series for other body parts?
Does this recovery thing hold truth with the use of anabolics?
I find more is better in a caloric surplus and blasting.
Working set and reps please
Great content, but I have 2 questions: Slight Incline Barbell Bench, what angle do u put the bench at, or is it a case of figuring it out, not exceeding 45 degrees?
2nd question: Slight Incline Barbell Bench vs Hammer Strength Chest Press. Which is better?
Generally 10-30 degree. And ones not really better than the other. They can both have a place
Sir its few exercises it can be use in competition preparation?
Why not having the bands applied on the overhead press?
is there any big difference if we do the fly movement to a pecedec ?
Joe, is it true that the "underhand" bench press *(reverse/pronated grip)* hits all the pec fibers and even more the upperchest than a *regular* Incline bench press?
I have seen a video about this from Jeff Nippard back in the days I believe.
Depends on how you perform both. Either can work (it they fit)
What rep range do you prefer on the press movements?
Hey Terrance I am an old guy 65 years, I am not training for a body building show, I am retired and have all day to spend in the gym if I want to,I am not in a hurry, I just want to build muscle to my genetic potential, am I screwed in thinking so? could you do a video on building muscles for us old guys, and don't get bogged down in the weeds with fancy scientific explanations if you do, just give us old guys the basics, we'll take it from there.. thanks much ......
Thanks so much for amazing content. Between YT and your site I have revamped most of my training.
I love guys like Tom Purvis but most of what he says gets lost in translation to me. You are able to eloquently give same info thats much easier to understand.
I follow your exercices on your app but sometimes when i watch vidéo i like to do thé same in vidéo ,do you recommend me to keep follow m'y program from your app or is okay to try new
You should definitely stick to your program, as individuality is one of the scientific training principles.
I don’t know what that means.. I don’t care 😂😂😂
Coach I cant see my front delts when doing a side tricep pose? What do you recommend?
Twist torso
What’s the brand of that cable machine?
Prime
Can’t I just run the pec dec rather than the flies?
Yup
So you dont train bro split? Theres alot of conflicting info I know hunter labrada is a fan of ppl and most pros train bro split
Both work. Personal preference
What's that upright cross-shaped bench in the background?
Watson T-bench
@@HypertrophyCoach thank you! What's it used for? Never seen anything like it.
What pad he is putting on bench 14:26???
It’s a half foam roller
The sound here is waaaay to low, get a mic
Well done. Sometimes just sometimes i think you talk a little bit too much lol
Nah
This would not work for me. Deff not perfect
