    So after some some further research it would appear that you want to wait for your big ticket item until the third day because the skyrocketing insufficient items on day one will change to plummeting and sufficient by day 3. It has been confirmed that skyrocketing and insufficient will change the demand to nonexistent but only for the next day.
    This is a bit annoying if you want to maximize the amount that your going to be making; however, if you are in no rush for the currency then setting up very good rare 8 hours day one is still fine and you'll get a decent enough yield.
    One tip I would add with this information is to try and diversify the rare materials you have, and at the beginning of the week see which have very good popularity and send out you missions for those crafts. That way you can change to whatever big craft.
    I apologize for the mistake and I wish you all the best in completing your island and getting the mounts/glams(Also will update this pinned comment with any new information).

    Here is a workshop solver that has since been made

      How long after the third day would you continue to maximize your big ticket item, from then onwards or wait for the demand to lower again? Also, will you have maxed out groove by the third day?
      I guess these are some nuances I’ve yet to figure out. Your video has been quite enlightening, I’ve been doing very well but the details on how the demand shift works and prioritizing grooves initially is great information to learn. I didn’t know it was as deep as this.

      @@nophoria So day 3 will let you know the the best item for day 4 and technically day 4 would give more insight into day 5 however realistically day 4 will likely be the most profitable day because of supply.
      As for groove I believe day one and two give you a total 36...if you don't screw it up by crafting nets one minute before the new crafts like me. Either way groove should be maxed before day 3s big craft

    • @nophoria
      @nophoria 2 роки тому +1

      @@TheNastyNamazu Haha okay cool, so if your groove is maxed and it says nonexistent and skyrocketing on the third day it should be safe to start selling the big items that day? Or are you saying on day three it changes to skyrocketing to forecast *for* day four and to sell the big rare stuff starting then? I just wonder if selling the rare stuff for two vs three days in the week would be better (granted you have the material to maximize on all said days).

    • @TheNastyNamazu
      @TheNastyNamazu  2 роки тому +1

      @@nophoria So if on day 3 your see insufficient and skyrocketing then on day 4 the item will move to nonexistent meaning on day 4 it will sell very well; however, on day 5 it will drop to sufficient. So if you wanted to maximize your profit you would have to check both day 3 and 4 to see the shift. For example Pickled radishes are really good today and growth formula will be really great tomorrow.

    It's a really small addition, but if you know you'll be using the same pattern of items multiple times you can set it up once and right click to make a preset to put on the other two columns. It saves a ton of clicks!

    Big question here: Why a 4/6/6/8 spread for the big ticket days instead of 4/8/4/8? Looking at value alone that would be more profitable. Is there something that gives 4/6/6/8 an edge?

    • @TheNastyNamazu
      @TheNastyNamazu  2 роки тому +2

      So supply and popularity are big modifiers to your items price and doing 4/8/4/8 I believe is enough crafts to increase your supply(I believe the number discover was 8 crafts of an item could be wrong) loosing some of the extra modifier. Now depending on the supply and demand it could be more profitable for 4/8/4/8 especially if you were able to chain 2 different rare(very popular, non-existent supply) crafts together.
      As an actually number example without any modifiers if I did 4(33)/8(163)/4(33)/8(163) which shark oil and clams it would come out to 392
      But with the example I used in the video it comes out to 353
      Now if we assume both sets had the same modifiers then the first day the 4/8/4/8 would give you more currency, but would change its supply meaning the next day would yield less where as the 4/6/6/8 would yield the same both days
      TL;DR - 4/8/4/8 is better if all items are different with great supply and demand,

    here is how I set up my rest day, 1st cycle and 6th cycle rest. This is to gather some rare materials that might be needed for the big production on the last day. I put the 1st day because of the same reason as you. Just to check with the popularity and also stocks.

      I had both my rest days on the last two days so I could gather the rare granary materials to prep for the following week, I just figured what it says will be Very High just will be? So one very important thing to make note of: Demand Shift is actually a useless part of the workshop's agenda. It doesn't measure a handicraft's upcoming change in supply; it measures the change that happened from yesterday to today. When the week starts anew every Tuesday, the entire market rebounds towards Sufficient supply. There were zero Nonexistent supply items today even though there were several yesterday, but there were also no Surplus or Overflowing supplies, again, many which existed yesterday. It tried to zero out or get close to it on Tuesday, which is why it's a really good idea, like you said, to make Day 1 a rest day, to let that initial stock whittle down.
    My theory on how supply works is that every handicraft you ship out gets put into invisible storage that you can't see, and over the course of its time in that storage, invisible customers will slowly buy out and whittle the supply down. The speed that the supply falls is probably influenced by how popular the item is, at least that's how it works in the real world.

    • @TheNastyNamazu
      @TheNastyNamazu  2 роки тому +1

      @@RoyalBlue-ge2oj Day 1 & 2 as long as you do good popularity 4hours your fine. Day 3 you just want another item that pays well(very good with low supply) ideally a rare 8 hour craft. Then the thing I got wrong was you want to wait until day 3 to find you big items because Demand Shift does have an effect at least with skyrocketing and insufficient. Multiple people including myself have now seen that those two things mean that the next day the item will have nonexistent supply, but the day after it will drop to sufficient for the rest of the week.
      However, if it stresses you to much then ignoring supply for your big ticket item is fine you'll make less, but that's fine unless your wanting to get everything immediately. I think people stress a bit to much about trying to optimize it(says the person optimizing it for one of the mounts)

    So on the demand list. Does the supply decrease over the course of the season? 🤔
    Also, does the 4/4/4 1st days increase its in-stock?

    • @TheNastyNamazu
      @TheNastyNamazu  2 роки тому

      Yes crafting the 4/4/4/4 will increase the stock. As for the overall supply its been discovered that there is a pattern to it. That is kinda hard to explain. I've updated the pinned comment along with the description to link to a spreadsheet that explains it. The spreadsheet also has a workshop solver.

    Is there a difference if i do 4-6-8-6 instead of 4-6-6-8. My 3rd 6h and last 8h don't coalesce with the categories. So long as my groove at a max, it should be fine whichever order you do right?

      So if you want the to get the most possible of the currency then you'll have to check for new big ticket items for day 4/5. So on day 3 you can see what will be good for 4 and on 4 you can see what is good for 5. If you want to do it passively without much effort then simple try to aim for very high popularity 8 hour rare material crafts for those days

    So the demand chart maps out the week? I was lamenting I'd have to make a new schedule every single day on account of shifting demand and supply that I read, can change by the *hour*. welp.

    • @ampur2
      @ampur2 2 роки тому

      it's definitely better to schedule every single day because the supply and demand shift changes. Only popularity retains for the week.

    • @TheNastyNamazu
      @TheNastyNamazu  2 роки тому +1

      It gives you a good idea of how to set up your week, but if you want to maximize your profits it is a good Ideas to at least check the chart on day 3 to make sure your chosen big ticket items are still the best options for days 4&5. Days 1-3 aren't all that important as 1-2 are for groove and 3 your mostly just aiming for a very good popularity 8 hour.
      That being said as long as your groove is maxed and you have a popular rare 8 hour crafts to end the week you'll still end will a good amount of currency

      @TheNastyNamazu  2 роки тому

      Yeah I made pinned comment to address it after doing some more research. It does tell you that it will become non-existent, but will change the day after meaning that you need to wait for day 3 to completely optimize your weekly crafts. I'm sorry for the mistake.

The best order is going to be the one that ensure you efficiency. The reason that 4/6/6/8 is the go to is because you have more category access in 6 then 8
