Love these flowers. I learned how to make fabric flowers in 2009-2010. From there, I learned all kinds of paper ones to clusters, both fabric and paper. Then messy bows. I have lots of all of them in my stash. It's time to use these on journal covers and in my signatures. . I just painted a novelity page for a journal and decided to make it into butterflies using punches. Now I can make some flowers too. They should be awesome. I'll have to paint some more paper for lots of these. I love the addition of the brads. Finished it off perfectly. ❤
So here's how it's gonna go... I'm gonna color some book pages and while they're drying I'll do my chores, then when I'm done I get the reward of paper play! Look at you, helping me get my chores done really quickly. Thanks for that. 😁 With love from the Southern California desert, MK ❤☀️🌵
Oh wow Barbara, I loved all your flowers so much, you are so clever cutting them by hand. Love that you combined the lace and the paper btw, yes I love my heat gun. I am feeling super inspired to make some flowers today, thank you x
These looks so cute, fun to make. And you explain it very well 😘💕😘 it reminds me of the days before Christmas when I used to sit down with my dad to cut stars and ice crystals from shiny paper. It's the same method and I loved to do that. I might just go and have a star making session this year again with my dad 😍👍🎄
I so enjoyed watching this video that I began coloring some music pages. I used 'bingo daubers' to do this and they turned out beautifully. Bingo daubers are readily available at thrift stores and are super cheap and also come in a variety of colors. Thanks for the inspiration, Barbara. 😊
Very clever and also beautiful. I love handmaking things, without tools such as punches, where possible. Very satisfying. Thank you for sharing. 🇦🇺 Anx thank you for generously sharing your tips.
What a fun project! Can't wait to make some! It kind of reminds me of folding and cutting paper squares to make snowflakes. I love the idea of putting a sequin or brad for the center. Thanks, Barbara! You're always inspiring.
It's funny you mentioned Tina because I came to find this video after she mentioned you in today's video which was inspired by you. I think tomorrow I will be making flowers while wintery weather goes on outside. ;) xoxo
Yes I totally agree with you, it is addictive once you get started it's so much fun and you don't want to stop. I must say that I love them as much as I love the 5 petals flowers from Joie de fi. The other day I have made some from used up coffee filters. Thanks for sharing.
You are very creative I never think of creating material like that. I do need to pull out my large bucket of the stuff and start creating when I get the time.
You are brilliantly artistic! These flowers are wonderful. Thank you for showing us how to make them. Also, I really enjoyed seeing the tin you use for your watercolor. Great idea!
it's Chinese. :) I'm watching from China. Junk journaling is becoming popular here. A store just opened near where I live and your videos are great to learn what it's all about. I'm more into card making but I love the things you make and listening to you. :)
I made some out of coffee dyed paper. After it was made, I crinkled them up and then opened them up...it gave them texture. I sponged ink on the wrinkles, just a bit ❤️❤️❤️
Can't wait to try making these beautiful flowers. Off to watercolor some book pages and find fabric scraps. I'm going to adapt them for scrapbooking. Thank you!!!
Sooo, cute! I can’t wait to try these shapes. I have only just begun to make paper flowers. I love the addition of lace too. Thank you for showing how you make these beautiful flowers!
These are really cute! I love that you just colored book pages! We get so stuck in thinking we have to buy something more all the time. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks Laura! That’s true, it’s so easy to get sucked into wanting more all the time rather than using what we already have. I think we lose some of our creativity by innig so much!
I love your paper flowers. The book pages ines are really nice. I've made paper flowers a couple of times. The first time I used a flower paper pad that I got from Walmat and stacked them from bigger to smaller. I liked them so much hat I bought a second pad to make them again. The second time I used my five shaped punches. They are nice too. I just bout a new different shape d flower punch and an looking forward to making more flowers.
I really enjoyed this video!. I know what you mean that it's addictive 😄 but it's a lot of fun not knowing what the end result will be. Loved all your creations Barbara.
I finally recieved my tear ruler today!!!! I ordered it over a month ago (after watching and drolling over you using yours) but since it had to come from Spain, t took a while to get to me....but well worth the wait...It is AWESOME!!!
Making flowers is fun. I made some a while ago using printed paper and my distressed inks but used my flower dies. I will have to try this, thanks again for an inspiring video.🥰
These look lovely and fun! Yes the die cuts definitely don’t have the same charm as the hand cut ones. Although it did look pretty when you mixed them together. Love the addition of fabric. Can’t wait to try a few and start experimenting, tfs 😍
Great inspiration, thank you for explaining in such detail because I've tried them before and just managed to cut them apart..😂😂😂👍👏 Hello, from Greece!
I love this!! I’m going to try this myself. I never knew I could make paper flowers just by folding the paper. I was thinking I’d have to draw them and make a stencil, etc., but this is so much easier and also encourages me to try out different petal shapes! I always love your videos and your ideas, and I love hearing you laugh and have a sense of humor and curiosity about crafting. Your laugh is infectious! :). Thank you for sharing so much of your lovely projects!
I am making these today. I have petal punches. And you are right they do have a flat look and don’t come to life. But I also watched a video over at shabby dabby do da and she had tools to help shape them. Since I don’t have the tools I thought maybe I could use my punch bout fold each petal. It really helped bump the punched petals up. But I have also tried you method and I think it is faster than the punches. So I am mixing mine up and I’m pleased with how they are turning out

Haha Perfect! Good thinking! 😃
When you use a brad in the center. It's easy to put a paperclip between the back of the flower and the backside of the brad for an altered paperclip.
Great idea, thank you! ❤️
Oh wow Barbara, I loved all your flowers so much, you are so clever cutting them by hand. Love that you combined the lace and the paper btw, yes I love my heat gun. I am feeling super inspired to make some flowers today, thank you x
Aw, thanks Tina! You are such an inspiration for me and I love your lace flowers so much! ❤️
Thanks sweetie! Oh that sounds like such a sweet memory with your dad! Would be great if you could do that again! ☺️

Just found this video. I love these so much. ❤

Love your flowers and the fact your not using fancy dies. Thanks.
Very clever and also beautiful. I love handmaking things, without tools such as punches, where possible. Very satisfying. Thank you for sharing. 🇦🇺 Anx thank you for generously sharing your tips.
I love to see your videos ... especially when you laugh so much about little „mistakes“! 😘
Thank you! So happy to share my mistakes since I mess up all the time! 😃
49dragonflies ... No, that‘s not right. You do not make mistakes very often. 😘
What a fun project! Can't wait to make some! It kind of reminds me of folding and cutting paper squares to make snowflakes. I love the idea of putting a sequin or brad for the center. Thanks, Barbara! You're always inspiring.
