The biggest problem with the defense is there is no cohesion and fluid play! We have been playing every defensive player we have from the beginning of the game to the end of the game in every game! Pick the best 11 guys and a few rotational players, start them and keep them in until we have pulled way ahead! When you are constantly switching out players they cant get used to playing next to other guys and build comfort, cohesion, and fast play!!!
utube is crushing Wommacks D play-calling. The DL is getting very little pass rush. I think the coaches are getting their eye's opened to the spotlight they are under at Bama.
Bottom line = Nickle and Dime D ARE NOT the proper packages for defending the Option = FACT. Why you do not have a 4-4 or heavy 4-3 package to stop power runs that is utilizing 12 personnel is A MUST HAVE, moving forward - Please ask Kane about this in his next press conference
Which version of Alabama shows up is the question... I feel pretty confident we can beat South Carolina with a c+ performance but the defense needs to get back to basics
I remember him as a QB and as the coach people needs to give this guy a break. He took Alabama when nobody was beating the door down for the job. So I wished he would get a ALABAMA FAMILY WELCOME! RTR🐘🐘🐘🐘

The defense has been soft up the middle, and that was on full display against Vandy. We did not stop anything. Opponents now think they can push us around on the line of scrimmage. The D-line and Linebackers need to be hungry, and step up to the challenge, for every game remaining.
Don't tell that to Georgia that couldn't get anything going up the middle. They don't play with the same intensity from game to game, which is all on the coaches. You have to get in their face like Nick Saban used to. They don't do that anymore.
@@bigpapa82 Georgia was playing catch-up, and didn't feel that running the ball would get them there quick enough. That was a completely different situation. Against Vandy, and again today against SC, we were gashed up the middle multiple times. At least against SC, the defense did get a few crucial stops.
We need to make a few adjustments and we'll be fine. We were just a couple of plays from winning that game. I believe we'll be fine

We already know. The defense is horrible. Starting with the defensive line and linebackers. Pressure on the quarterback causes turnovers.

I have no ill feelings towards Mike Shula, certainly not as a player, and not as a coach either (for all the reasons Jimmy outlined). I wish him well, just not a "W" for this weekend.
