I agree with Jimmy...Jalen needs to STOP running the ball so much. There was one play, they tackled Jalen and another guy only tackled his legs, and they were up in the air. My heart stopped for a second!! Jalen looked all twisted. Ugh...he needs to stop. Use our RB & WR !!!

One encouraging thought I had is Nico Iamaleava is so tall it is going to be hard for Q and others to get penalized for striking him in the helmet.

For yall saying defense they saved the game the only flaw was not getting off field on 3rd down. They forced 4 turnovers, 4 sacks, 7 tfl no one is talking that. The scheme 4-2-5 is taking talented defensive players out of what they can do. If Bama ran 4-3 it would help tremendously. Offense put them in bad positions. They played well forcing 2 punts and to on SC first 3 drives(the offense scored only once). Then they give up a TD on a 4th and 9 and following possession force a fumble after the Milroe safety. Milroe immediately throws a INT and SC gets a FG to end half. To open up 2nd half run defense was bad SC drive and defense had chance to get off field on 3rd and 6 & 3rd and 15 and 3 3rd and short result SC takes lead. Offense goes out and punts, Bama forces punt Milroe throws another INT and defense forces another fumble. Bama scored off the TO and they stop SC drive with the miss FG. Offense scores again what should put game away but not getting 3rd down stop and a chunk play along with face mask and SC gets the 30 yd touchdown you will give up those plays 9/10 when a wr is 6”5 240 pounds. Special teams blunder the onside and defense gets back on field and forces GW int. So please stop the harassing of D. Yes their are problems just like every other team has in the country, yes this is not Sabans defense (he is gone get over it we had 17 great seasons but this is a new era). Support the team and be glad Bama won!
You give the ball to Justice Haynes 3 times in a row then you will see how good he is not 2 times per quarter

Last year Roydell had 111 carries for 560yds . Right now JAM has 51 for 360. Against Vanderbilt he had 5 carries for 45 yds and two touchdowns. He didn't run the ball for the most part in the 2nd half. The problem isn't JAM.
Me and my family watched BAMA, Texas, all the other games. We have 3 tv's going, volume only up on the main game which is on the middle tv. 😁
But we watch all the games, all day. All our friends know we have on all games on the 3 tv's, some stop by and watch one or two games with us. Saturday's are a great day at my son's house!😁

As Bama fans we are now experiencing what most other fan bases experience from week to week. We no longer "expect" to win, we "hope" to win. And we now know we can lose to ANYONE on any given saturday. And I'm not impressed with much of the SEC anymore. Our conference hasn't looked nearly as dominant as we have in the past. Georgia, Ole Miss, Tennessee, & Missouri have not been that impressive, imo. The SEC is currently owned by the 2 Texas teams, Texas & Texas A&M. Welcome to the new college football.
I don't have much confidence left in this team.. i want to & im here for it regardless but they don't seem like the Alabama we have come to know over the years anymore.. we are surviving on luck
I feel like the D was fine yesterday. Not dominant, not where we need to be, but good enough for winning football. I think it was actually the mistakes on offense that kept the game close. 5 pts gifted to USC at the end of the first half and the pick in the second half were very impactful. That's a 12 point swing. We should have won this game 34-21, which I think most of us would feel comfortable with.
D line was horrid

Guys need to chill. Folks freaking out right now are just showing they didn't expect any change with Saban leaving. Get real, it wasn't going to be an easy transition and we're doing fine enough right now. There's a lot of chaos going on right now in the top ten so it's a global issue as well.
Special Teams need improvements as well.
If Germie Bernard goes down at the 1 it feels like a much better win. He selfishly scored and after that mental mistake SC scored a TD, got an onside kick, and took another shot at the endzone.
You cannot put that on Bernard. You score when you can score. The defense has to get a stop. God forbid the offense do its job and score
It's Deboer fault. He needed to let #5 know situation prior to the play what to do if he catches a breakaway. After trusting the D to get a stop at the end of game last week and as badly as they were playing again Deboer had to know not to trust them again. $11M/yr 🙄
Bama fan here. The naïvety about the Georgia game kills me. Georgia coming back on us like they did says way more than what we did to them in the first half. That was a once in a lifetime thing that that we luckily barely hung onto. Much bigger problems.
I kinda feel the same way. With this roster, at home, in that atmosphere, you go up 28-0 then there should be zero chance for the opposing team, I don’t care if it’s 2005 USC. There’s no excuse for that have ever been a game in the second half. It was a collapse and we were lucky to have a generational wide receiver bail us out.

It's the scheme. If Saban was there we would have over 1000 yards rushing . We need stop making excuses. This coach has destroyed what took Saban 17 years to build. UT will be ready for us. They always play above their talent level for us even when they get destroyed. This is their rivalry week.
Something that concerns me is how well we stay disciplined on the road in hostile territory. We create self-inflicted wounds while at home. Just compound that at Knoxville or Baton Rouge.

Maybe it’s time to admit that Milroe is not a Great QB but a good QB who can out athlete most players and teams but still can’t read a defense to call adjustments at the line.

This is a passing offense, we saw it at Washington, and everywhere deboer has been, just look at the Seattle Seahawks and ryan grub.

You guys keep blaming the RBs for not gaining yards in the game, and I hate to tell you they are not the problem. Here are the following problems with the offense: (1) Poor play calling schemes by the OC, (2) OL is not blocking enough to open up holes for the RBs to run, (3) No adjustments made in the game by the OC after watching opposing defenses dominate. In regards to the Bama defense that can't stop any team. Bama has great defensive talent and a lot of inexperienced young players starting in the secondary. The problem on defense is not the Players but strictly on the DC and coaches. I think the Kane Womack defensive schemes worked well at the Power 4 level when he was HC at South Alabama but defensively is extremely weak at the Power 5 level. I have been very critical of the DC coming up with weak defensive game plans and not making defensive adjustments in the game to counter opposing offenses that continue to score at will. Here is what the Bama AD is going to tell Coach Debo at the end of the season when Bama doesn't make the 12 team playoff: (1) Fire Womack and hire either Jeremy Pruitt or TRob from Georgia as the new DC. Secondly, address all offensive play calling issues either by calling the plays yourself or hire a new OC with SEC experience. Lastly, Saban is still on the Bama payroll at 500k a year as an advisor. I can almost guarantee Saban and the Bama AD already has a short list of candidates to replace the DC. I hope Alabama proves me wrong next week in Knoxville, but Bama chances of getting into the playoffs end next week. Tenn is also a vulnerable team this year as well but are still better than Vandy or South Carolina. Florida would have beaten Tenn last night but lost their QB to injury. But it took Tenn in overtime to win the game at home.So time will tell if I am right.

Don’t call me a sunshine pumper for using common sense. You can spend all day being woe is me thinking about this playoffs and all this stuff or you can go one week at a time. We are playing a team that arguably has more problems than us, not only did they lose to Arkansas but Arkansas’s back up QB who was awful against Auburn when he played drove down the field and beat them because Green was hurt at the end of that game, then yesterday they were dominated by a Florida team that prob wins that game if Mertz dosent get hurt. I don’t have to compare this team to Texas or think about LSU right now is all about Tennessee and finding out what we need to do to win.
Reminds me of when Dennis Fanchione arrived. Too nice and laid back for SEC football. No discipline, bad play-calling, Milroe looks like he's hurt...slow getting up after every play, slow decision making...absolutely 0 defense...NONE. 3, 4 & 5 star players all over the roster...so either they are great athletes, but not very smart, or they're not being coached...look at the response to the on-side kick yesterday...they looked like they've never practiced that before, west coast mentality....they've never had defense on the left coast, never had a reputation for being tough, making hard tackles.. as Coach Bryant used to say" waving their arms as they go by...Oh-lay"
Trying to be optimistic, but ..they really lost to USF, if not for a super-star play by Williams, they lost to UGA, Vandy..no one showed up to play, lost, and USC was a loss.. shouldn't have come down to a lucky miss last play. Bama will be secretly in a coaching search by this time next year...

Our offense in not world beaters bit good the d on the other hand is an disaster poor disclipline poor tackling this us coaching
I really like this podcast but this episode baffles me. We want the run game to get going but all last year it was “Jalen needs more designed runs”. Now Jalen doesn’t need to run as much. A lot has been made about Jalen working progressions which means taking check downs but now we don’t want the RBs and TEs catching we need more WRs involved. We also want Ryan to get a ton of touches while the RBs get more touches while we spread the ball around more while Jalen works through progressions and runs when he can but throws more intermediate passes??? We can’t do it all every game. The offense isn’t the issue. The issue is the defense. Specifically we can’t get pressure with 4 linemen which hangs the young secondary out to dry. We have one of the lowest blitz rates in CFB. That’s stupid. We need to take more chances and try to outscore people. Also, Tennessee just lost to Arky and went to OT with Florida and didn’t score 20 in either game. Georgia gave up 31 to a 1-5 Miss State team with a young QB. Ole Miss lost to Kentucky AT HOME who just lost to Vandy. Oklahoma has no offense. LSU should have lost to SC and lost to an ok USC. Texas looks great but otherwise everyone else looks flawed. We aren’t the only ones.
