I have been playing Warcraft 3 since 2005ish since i was a teenager and i was never really good at the game. But watching you making it look so easy and satisfying is just a joy to watch, thanks for all the uploads Grubby!
Haven't played Warcraft 3 since my teenage years. Recently found your channel and oh wow made me want to play again. Great content and great post analysis subscribed. I've got a lot of videos to binge.
build a tiny hall near their base then attack their expo ( leave 3 zappers away from their sight) , wait for them to come save it then quickly port over to the tiny hall and kill it....once they walk over to save their main use the 3 zappers on their expo lol. its flawless.
This strategy is not for the weak. Very cool and micro intensive. I always hated going against Mass talons even as far back as in RoC with Mass Talon / Mass AoWs lol
It's because he's not moon. The guy is not even microing his talons that are affected with lightning shield. Normally, you would use cyclone on the blademaster and not really anything else. This strategy is really hard to use.
And it's true it's a particular strategy, but with the heroes, especially the blademaster and the shamans I noticed that you always manage to kill some units, so you're always leading the game even if you lose a little money. IMO it's a good tactic if well organized, for example plunder ability work? the orcs are made to attack🤣
Dark Ranger was an insane pick. It absolutely carried. It held the team together from the point it was bought until the end of the game. Very cool army build.
he did one where he used banshees to control all big camps and one where he was undead killing big camps put them in meat waegon and than rezz them in enemy base with Arthas lv l6
The upper limiting factor ("100%") of a gold mine for Orc Peons and Human Peasants is the time the worker must spend inside the mine before he comes out with a bag of gold. To fully utilize a gold mine, you must reach this limiting factor with enough workers, such that there is a worker ready to enter as soon as the previous worker exits with a bag of gold. At minimum distance for a Great Hall/Town Hall from the mine, you need 5 workers. Meanwhile at greater Hall distances (long distance mining) you need more workers to fully utilize the mine due to increased travel time for each worker, as a larger percentage of their full cycle is spent walking versus being inside the mine. And, of course, with more than 5 workers at minimum Hall distance, you'll simply have workers piling up outside waiting for the guy inside to finish mining and come out. The point is, 4 Peons simply cannot fully utilize the gold mine, even at minimum Great Hall distance. There will be gaps in time where the gold mine is empty and idle. It has nothing to do with mining AI or player control. If that didn't make sense, listen to @Dancyspartan. Go try it.
4:00 Hold on! I would like to think I'm not so newbie to warcraft mechanics and I always knew that invisible creep camps always wake up and attack you when you go close even at night. Am I wrong?
Or is it because they always have other creeps in their camp that wake them up for them like a rock golem? Because I'm sure that the bandits that are invisible in some maps don't have rock golems
why is smurfing so accepted in the wc3 community? Grubs often plays on alts to do ridiculous strats far below his mmr. In this vid he admits that he couldn't implement his idea because bnet was down which would place him against a lower level player...
I think that when he "smurfs" he plays "shitty", fun strats that give the opponent fair chance of winning. It's not a tryhard destruction of lower level oppos.
his mmr on that case is lower since his skill is more limited by the challenge. He essentially has to make suboptimal decisions, ergo playing at a lower skill level.
"BATriders have a lot of nightime vision", gotta love the biological attention to detail by old Blizzard
i highly appreciate your insight after the game (unlike that one twitch dude, who wants you to start the next match). THX a lot, this game was awesome
I just wonder, who?
@@aihatsuchannel4013at 25:37
@@aihatsuchannel4013 I think it was just a random twitch viewer that wanted grubby to start a new game asap.
The post-game analysis was terrific
For everyone that keeps asking "Why does Grubby always kill the critters?" 4:03 is your answer
i really loved the breakdown at the end of the tactic, so intricate

A somewhat expensive strategy, even if an effective one :O
Or do the reverse!
For me bloodlust is the most iconic spell in warcraft universe!
That was fun to watch! You had this opponent on the edge of their seat the whole game :) Awesome
The chaos around the creeping was beautiful
When I started playing WC3 in 2002, mass shaman / docs were absolute meta in this mu. And ft ofc.
ROC casters were broken af. Blizzard super nerfed casters in FT and made more magic immune units to counter them
Yeah, I remember even in the demo that used to still be up, people would Smurf and go. I loved the casters then

5:57 I did the exact same sound 😂
Great debriefing! Masterful breakdown!
Grubby's tip on how not to get stressed out is really resonating with my own anxiousness at work
The looked quite nice overall, but the DR addition realy made it awesome.❤
WP!
Now I want to see more testing of this strategy.
whenever grubbys yaw opens in the fever of battle i see golden ratios all over the place
This is just beautiful.
The tactic explanation part was just insane
1:50 Best advice of my day!
epic sheep @4:03
This would work in competition for sure, but as you know, you will really have to be careful about losing a single unit, momentum is also key.
That sheep at her kill was great.
Also, BL bat base harass is killer, 2 bats would get through a moonwell fast
Lightning shield on the Talen's once the hero teleports sounds dirty! bc they are all closured together so closely most would die to fast to save.
Back when casters were super OP, I used to love massing shaman and witch doctors as orc and just spamming spells
man that mass storm shields on talons feels like psionic storm on hydralisks in sc2 lol
Lighting shield forcing him to break formations made those dotts easy to pick off
And it's true it's a particular strategy, but with the heroes, especially the blademaster and the shamans I noticed that you always manage to kill some units, so you're always leading the game even if you lose a little money.

the orcs are made to attack🤣
No tp grub always lol your play style would make my heart rate shoot sky high haha but also two gloves, two circlets plus lust is like bm on steroids
I love seeing orc caster games and trying to understand if/when they are viable.
Thnx Grubby for the game..🎉❤
BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!!!! LUST FOR THE LUST THRONE!!!!
Does silence stop wisps from detonate?
LEZZ GOO NEW VID🎉🎉
Would it work vs mass driads?
Imakes sence thatbatriders have good vision at night. Tho7gh it is more likelyecho location.
I love that real ife lor3 ties into a strategy.
😮nice tech. Hunter nice player😎
4:40 - 100g in reveals for that one poison murloc is defeinitely worth
i never realized how clunky the pathing is in this until i played it 20 years later its so frustrating
I’m just curious can you beat your enemy without heroes
Where stream Grubby ? I wanna watch
twitch
This guy is so good, you should go pro.
Dark Ranger was an insane pick. It absolutely carried. It held the team together from the point it was bought until the end of the game.
Very cool army build.
we can find W3 TFT original version ? or we need to buy the reforged version to play it with old graphics ?
you must buy reforged, then in the game you can choose which graphics you want
You can also buy a cd key online for 13-15eu.
Why does his colors change from purple to blue?
What is your favorite Color Grubby in WC3 ? And which Color for which Race? :)
RARARAAA
What if your master turns out to be a baiter
have you ever done mercenary units & heroes only challenge
he did heroes only so adding mercenaries would actually be slightly easier
he did one where he used banshees to control all big camps and one where he was undead killing big camps put them in meat waegon and than rezz them in enemy base with Arthas lv l6
thanks i will look it up guys, seems fun
He also did one where he possessed the camps and pretended they were normal, then made them run away when the enemy came
For some reason I didn't think silencing wisps would do anything.
neither did I
book of the dead skeletons don't expire??
afterall its not about APM when it really is apm heavy what grubby is doing
One of the reasons i stopped playing talons even in 1.26
gooooooooooooo
Hello cop
cool build. too bad it doesn't work high level cuz night elf imba.
mass caster? is this 2002 again?
Dark Ranger third was genius.
talons need a buff
its all about the start isnt it
HMM cant you put all gold peons on group 1 and spam return resourses? that might be the way to get almost 100% on 4 peons.
Boot the game up and try
