happy with a 2" group W T F
Exactly what I was thinking
over 2 inches.......
😂lmfao
Those were more like 2 and a half inch groups, almost 3 inches on one of them. Unacceptable
Todd isn't trying to fool anyone and cherry pick groups to show you guys. He also knows and understands his limitations as a shooter and doesn't push those off on the gun.
Nice video. I have a version 1 XBolt 6.8 western and it gets about 1/2” groups with 165 ABLR ammo. Tiny groups go out the window when you shoot from standing, seated, against a tree, etc. without a tri pod or bipod.
At 1 1/2 inch high how far out wil it be on bullseye center?
Awesome rifle and review as always Todd. I am a fan of Browning rifles but I wish that they and others outside of (Savage, Tikka, Christensen Arms) would make left hand models in something more than their wood stock model of rifle. I would love a left hand in their SR (suppressor ready) line.
just stop being _wrong handed_ 😏
1.5moa? That’s a big group I would be sending it back. A cleaning isn’t going to take your 1-1/2 group down 1/2” very very unlikely.
Probably a lot to due with factory ammo. Majority of factory hunting rounds will not produce 1 moa or less.
Winchester factory ammo is trash.
Thank you for giving 6.8 western some love! I have multiple browning rifles and I love them all. My x-bolts shoot sub moa almost regardless of the ammunition used 👍. 6.8 western in my opinion is the #1 all around new cartridge available and it deserves more recognition and support!
Agreed!
HERE HERE!
🇺🇸
My 7mm speed with my loads will shoot half inch or less at a 100 yards with the Hornady vlds.
Awesome looking rifle what browning factory makes this rifle ?
Not sure, but a call to Browning customer service would likely answer your question.
Always enjoy your content Todd! thank you for not cherry picking a small group to show everyone. The "1/4 MOA all day as long as I do my part guns" are very rare and rarer that a shooter can produce those groups on demand. Thanks for keeping it real. Maybe time for a custom rifle ;) wink wink
Why dont you just say, it shoots large groups which is disappointing as we all want 3/4" groups at 100 yards for hunting...
I know where I’m hunting but I’m not using your dumb app that you try to charge monthly
Cool rifle!👍👍
I have a X bolt 2 LR on order in 6.8 Western, I hope it groups way better than that rifle does.
😂
I hear the accubonds are picky in general. I have a seekins in 6.8 western and it shoots the factory 175grain sierras .5” and under at 100 and I’m just an average shooter. I bought 10 boxes and happy to shoot that bullet for everything. I have 2 boxes of the accubonds coming to try and would be happy if they shot well but I’m not holding my breath. Watch Ron spomer 6.8 w vs 7prc and he shoots a browning speed in that video crazy accurate. I wouldn’t be worried.
I got one in 7prc it shot 3 inch groups through 20 rounds and 2 cleanings. After the second cleaning it tightened up to .5 moa. Will literally drive nails now
@@Matt-en1kn lol 😂 wtf! That’s a first I ever hear
@@Matt-en1kn same ammo?
This is the ARPC range yeah? 🇺🇸
I picked up a Browning X Bolt 300 WSM have not fired it yet still deciding on a scope, any thoughts on a scope, thank you for your show and have a wonderful day.
from personal experience I would go with arken scopes.
@@emilbreitenbach3462 thank you for the reply, will look into Arken Scopes, have a wonderful day.
I would highly recommend a vortex. Next would be luepold. Vortex has the best warranty out there. And that's not to say the scopes are trash and will break. It's to say they cover EVERYTHING. You drop it and it breaks? Covered. You run over it with a car? Covered. You let your son or daughter use it at their softball/baseball game for funzies and it breaks.....COVERED!
Plus it's been my experience that vortex makes fantastic scopes. I have the viper gen 2 and razor gen 2 and both are excellent. They track, they're reliable, and they repeatable.
Try scorpion from Manitoba Canada… they are awesome for the price point.
Night Force scopes
Ru happy with that leupold scope? What model/power
Love the VX5-HD 3-15x44mm
I have a 6.8 x bolt shot browning shot a box of win 165 grain at 100yds 2 " best i could get with factory ammo, changed the trigger out for timmney 2.5 havn't shot it since changing trigger
browning fan boy here,,,,this may go on my shopping list,,,not in 6.8
Radial brakes suck. Period lol. To much noise for the little recoil reduction they provide.
Not impressed..I would be not happy with that
I had a X-Bolt in .325W, it was a disappointment, I tried for years to get it to shoot with different projectile and powder combinations, best it did was a 3-inch group. Ended up giving it away. Beware rifles with ultra-thin barrels.
Miroku makes excelent firearms, one of these being the x-bolt that I own for several year, shooting lights out... So I'd say it's the gun or the shooter in this case, since there is nothing to zero impressive about your groups
Sweet rifle. I got the weatherby vanguard weather guard bronze in .308. Thing is a tack driver.
Happy with 2inch plus groups because he can't shoot well. Another internet know nothing expert lol.
Not putting you down or anything of that sort, but those groups at 100 yards are not very good at all. I would say those are unacceptable. I'm gonna chalk that up to shooter error as I've never seen a bolt gun with decent ammo shoot that bad. I bet that's a 1 moa or less gun all day.
The reason I say all that is your shooting at distance was actually great and very acceptable.
What I do to really tighten my groups up is by dummy rounds (snap caps) so I can get tons and tons of trigger squeezes. This helps me maintain position while I squeeze the trigger and heavily reduces my flinch.
Nice video.
I’m shooting one right now 300 win mag and averaging 2-2.5” groups. My hells canyon 7mm mag version one shoots .5” groups right next to it.
@@roberthodges9242 that's just wild. I've not seen so much deviation with a $2,000 gun.
@@camonly849 so any help on how to get the 300 to shoot 1” groups would help. Shot 5 different bullets all the same. Eldx, 3 different federals and sierra’s
180-200grains
@roberthodges9242 what twist?
Poor groups. At 11/2 - 2 inch groups I would not be happy
A 2 moa shooter needs to retire from gun reviews...
Any thoughts on getting this in .300 WinMag?
Need to see tighter grouping
Is that scope the vx-hd5 3-15x44mm or the 56mm?
That's the 44mm
Great riffle.
Is the trigger on the 2 better than the trigger on the original xbolt?
In my opinion the DLX trigger is a vast upgrade.
No put a spring in the first one way better
browning never shoots good groups !!!! buy finish rifle
I have no need for a 270 cal , i would rather have a 7mm prc all day and a rifle on a 700 action type , are they still pressed in barrels?
Good thing we can all get what we like.
Good thing your wife has no need for another .007 more of an inch
Just a 270 wsm
Long action vs short action. I went with the 6.8
