Necromancer - Dark Magic Music

- As has become typical of my spooky, Halloween and darker tunes, it still has a touch of folkiness in there. I just can't help myself, and I much prefer the spookier side to the horror side anyway.
As I was writing this, I kicked off with piano as usual as I added in all the folky small percussion and thought, well, this isn't scary. But with the whispers and noises, jaw harp and all the other odd sounds that make up this song, it started to get a swamp-feel. I have no idea how to explain this without sounding absolutely insane, but it sounds damp. Damp and dangerous, as if you're being watched by some magic undead swamp being with dead eyes.
I'm not crazy, you're crazy!

Crazy? I was crazy once.
The would-be hero drew his sword in challenge. "Why do you terrorize us so? Why can you not leave us alone, vile conjurer?"
The dark cloaked one turned, slowly, to face him. There was no mockery in that leathery, ageless face.
"Alone?" The words were just above a whisper. "What know you of leaving someone alone, boy?"
"I've heard the tales they tell of you. of how you raised the graveyard in anger to slay a man in cold blood. Who said a monster like you ought be left to run wild?"
He laughed, a brittle sound, a mocking sound.
"Is that what they tell you? Cold blood? The fool would have killed me long ago if he had his way."
The trees began to rattle, but there was no wind. Eyes, so many eyes like blue balefires burned in the darkness around them.
His words were louder now, not a full bellow, but a call of accusation. "Did they never tell you why I used my art at last? Did you never wonder why I never came back to finish what I started? I raised the dead that night to SAVE them! ALL of them! An army's worth of brigands would have swept the village off the map, but for the love of one who lived there, I took a stand. I used my power to help those who looked down on me like a rat in the cellar. That one man's death was a mistake, a mistake they happily latched onto like a maggot to a corpse. For, if they didn't, they would have had to admit they were wrong! So they banished me to these hills to rot.
A sardonic smile split the Necromancer's lips.
"So, tell me boy, why do think I am still here. Well, I will tell you, since you took the time to come and speak to me first. I remain because she is still there. Down in the village graveyard these decades past. I swore to her I would keep her safe in life. I have failed her in that regard, for I couldn't be there to stop the accident that claimed her. And I would have gladly offered my life for hers if I could. So, in her death I will honor that promise."
He stepped closer. Every step bore the height of years behind it. Relentless. Unfeeling. Indifferent, but careful. The point of the young man's blade resting on his throat now, but he plainly didn't care.
"That is why I have stayed. Now get out of my forest, boy, while I still allow it."
I can feel the spooky atmosphere. The background additions make the song even scarier, great job :)

Little different from the usual bright tunes, but still an amazing tune!! LOVE IT!!
This is song so exhilarating, powerful ,inspirational and beautiful as I'm listening to this I'm reflecting on a load of battles working out ,medating doing others stuff helps with containing rage to use a weapon,i had to go through to make it this far....i over came narcissistic bullying abuse ,excuricating pain and pain...sometimes i cry cause being a warrior ain't easy i gotta go through bullshit every other day to surivive it...thankfully the ones i use to deal with i don't have to work with anymore still it was chaotic i having to fight so more wars constantly to stop my enemies from sabotaging me and my hard work but i did it...i had to or else i was done for couldn't let them win...going through a lot of nightmares and P.T.S.D flashbacks from toxicities will feel like a curse but something to make you stronger,make persevere without giving up i fought my demons off standing by my power i hope others are doing the same.
