Gee whiz, Nick, I don't even sew, but I like YOU so I start to watch your videos, thinking I'll bail out before the end. Then I get so caught up in your lessons that I continue watching the complete videos. You're so articulate and entertaining.
If you're still interested in flat pattern drafting after hearing @nicolasmith1460's excellent advice; there are several flat-pattern drafting systems you could use, the one which I hear named most often is Metric Pattern Cutting by Winifred Aldrich. Don McCunn @donmccunn is also an established name in flat-pattern drafting with several books & also instructional videos on the 'Tube. There are, of course, several other good ones which I cannot recall at the moment. That said, it's a more left-brain "mathy/cerebral" activity while draping is a more right-brain "arty/intuitive" activity.

Pad it out. Put a bra on it and pad it out to your dimensions. No manikin fits us or a client perfectly. We always pad out
