Live habe ich sie nie gesehen, dass war mir in der damaligen DDR nicht vergönnt. Ich liebte diese rauchige Stimme und der Sound der Band war genial. Großes Dankeschön fürs Hochladen.
All great bands have a superb vocalist and a shit-hot lead guitarist.....Nazareth, therefore, is one hell of a band! Currently snatching up their awesome catalog of razor sharp rock n roll! As underrated as it gets!
Nazareth one of greatest rock band in the world especially Dan vocal is one of greatest when I start listening to them 19 81 no ones can sang cocaïn song like him in concert the way he introduced it I saw them live amazing

The opening bands were Billy Thorpe and Vic Vergat . We had 3rd. row on the right side . Killer , killer concert and rowdy crowd . Someone through a streetsign that said " Nazareth Ln " on the stage . Dan McCafferty picked it up and commented on the still fresh blood stain on the sign . Love the " SNAZ " live album . I could go on and on.... I know Dan McCafferty recently announced his retirement because he has COPD and can no longer sing live . Shame . Hard Rocks greatest voice .
Could not put the words better myself...Saw the band first time in Stockholm 1974 at age 12 and have been a fan since.....Seen them about 5 times more live... 1980 was special with Zal Cleminson.
I love than Dan passed on the role to someone else but gave his blessing so the band lived on. It takes a working class band to show that kind of class.
Still one of the greatest live rock performances ever.. (Especially the Vancouver gig in May 1981). Nazareth's line up in 1981 (with the addition of Billy Rankin and John Locke) was still their best !!
The cover of Cocaine is insane, They could take a cover to another level. Zal was great but this line-up was so sophisticated. Can even see a little prog from those early days coming through.
