- Months ago, Sandy from Merrifield's Finn Fleeces contacted me to see if she could send me a gift because my unintentional promotion of their fleeces has really been good for their farm and business. I am so grateful and thankful to all of you, and to Sandy! There's a giveaway and also an update on my sewing progress because mostly all I did in that hard week I had off was sew and sew. When I read "She's a long one this week, you may want a project." I immediately paused and went to make a cup of tea and got out some hand sewing. Now let's settle in! Edit: Well, 40 odd minutes of hand sewing on my Viborg reproduction tunic and I want to pull out the wool, but cleaning the fibre room is the order of the day. Sydney's fleece is so absolutely gorgeous, I just love the drape you achieved with the flicked locks.

Those dopp bags turned out so pretty. I love seeing the clothing you sew for Jessica. Doll clothing can be so much fun and fiddly to make. Sydney's fleece reminds me of the super soft slick black cats. Thank you Sandy for gifting Trish with this beautiful fleece. You inspired Trish to give us a lesson which is a gift to us all. Thank you Trish for your lesson, from what I learned I can refine some of the techniques I use.

Congrats on the gorgeous fleece and the sewing projects! The inside of a bag doesn’t matter, you are just going to put stuff inside to cover up the not pretty parts. The outside is the only part that counts!

I think your Sydney fleece is absolutely stunning. I don’t know if I’ve ever had a Fleece that’s been that black, and especially with that much crimp. Now that I’m thinking about it, I don’t think I’ve ever had a Finn fleece, especially one named Sydney.

I love to see your sewing! Sewing is my first love. It's my default when I need to feed my soul. Making doll clothes is hard! it's the same work as adult clothes but tiny! If making clothes for Jessica makes you happy then do it! Do whatever makes your beautiful heart happy!

I love that you make doll clothes. When I was young I didn’t really play with Barbies but I loved sewing so they had a huge wardrobe. My friends loved them!
