The huge problem with these video’s is that they’re so good I keep going to the next one without liking them! I apologise for that, but no doubt I’ll watch them again👍 thank you they’re great🙏
My father actually served in the german amphibious transport battalion in the early sixtys. Ive seen the pictures of these Vehicles on various occasions but seeing them in live action is awesome
Learned to drive one of these at Instow, North Devon in '87 in the Royal Marines. They've only just been disposed of due to health and safety issues. Brilliant bits of kit. Per Mare Per Terram.
There is one of these sunk of Blackpool’s Manchester Sq pumping station I watched it sink ...I watched it from Blackpool’s north pier jetty aged 14 and it’s still there and one was sunk under north piers theatre but that was got back ...I saw the lifeboat rescue the guys from Manchester Sq it was a ruff day it came from know were and swamped it....I’m now 59....it’s still there
Thanks for sharing this video. Yes, it's very cheesy, but it's also good to see the DUKW's doing what they do best for the military and civilian owner/operators.
They can always come in handy for the fire companies for water rescue calls and firefighting as well with pumps on them they can always help out with that on the water if they can not get a fire boat unit they already that amphibious vehicle for that job

I did “beach landing” at Feckingham with the RM using these in 87, I was a cadet instructor, great fun.
