I love that while every major franchise is striving to put out a cohesive continuity, The Simpsons is still fully committed to Abe having served in both world wars
Love this episode, reminds you that your rambling grandfather wasn't always an old man. Abe being a WW2 veteran explains a lot about how he was as a husband, father and a human being, this is definitely one of the best Abe Simpson stories
Remember Ned is also 60 years old...don-don-donnnnn! Tbh I think the writers were really inconsistent of episode history yet I won't fault for them for that, not only it's a comedy cartoon show but they're are so many episodes lol too many to remember

Doubly impressive in that it’s be Flanders grandfather, because no way In hell was it Neds father. Ned is already 60 so the man was probably serving well into that age.
Then there was that time Krusty prevented a woman he had a one-night stand with from killing Saddam Hussein, so that's twice that one of Springfield's residents botched assassinations of infamous dictators that could have ended wars early.
Mr. Burns has really been through a lot with the entire Simpson family. -went to war with Abe -responsible for separating Homer from his mother -made Bart the Heir to his fortune -Been shot by Maggie -fell in love with Marge and had a painting made of him. -still has no idea who the hell Homer Simpson is despite the countless times Homer and him interacting and actually formed a friendship on several occasions.
-Took the sun out of Springfield (don’t know how to describe it :,)). -Tried To marry marges mom. -Let Smithers dad die. I Think that’s the whole list of what he did.Mr Burns is definitely my favorite.
Savage Savannah I finished season 8 and that’s where I pretty much think that’s where the series ends. Anyway there’s an episode where Burnes loses all his money and asks Lisa for help. She helps him and they recycle and mr Burnes becomes a monster by using a giant net in the sea to recycle whale and dolphin meat paste to sell it. So that completes his interaction with every member of the family.
Ok first off thanks for actually replying. Also yeah he went broke and begged Lisa to help.So she did and they collected cans and sold them for money. Then Mr Burns saved so much he made the “Lil Lisa Recycling Plant” and he remembered that Lisa told him to cut the can holders so fish wouldn’t get trapped. He thought it would be a good thing to wipe the sea clean and make slurry with the sea animals.Lisa freaked and went home.Mr Burns came and offered her over 12,000 dollars Homer got a heart attack because she didn’t accept it and that’s we’re the episode ended. Also yeah season 9 was probably the worse season.
@@JTheFool Yeah I think that's the right decision. The character's "present" can change but it'd be much weirder if their backstories move forward in time too.
