I just went through the same health issue as you did. 10 days in hospital after the surgery. Having you to watch is making the healing process better, thank you.
Hello again Michelle. So instead of painting this scene lets just go to the beach!!!!!! Wouldn’t that be nice, omg!!!! So this will have to do. Good job. Love it. Love the beach. And love the idea of no other world...just peace....thank you
I love so much the beach paintings! I did the other one with the bike it’s so nice my son hanged it in his room! So peaceful and beautiful!!! I wish I was there! I wish I didn’t have to work and sit and paint all day again! I hope I find time again and start painting! I have so many in my to do list! Thank you so much 😊
Dear Michelle ,i’m very happy you are back and to see again your beautifull painting. One question please : “What method do you use to keep the colors fluid until the end of the painting ?” Thank you so much for you kindness , all the best to you ! Antonietta
Hi Antonietta, Than you for the well wishes! For these videos I'm using a thin bodied student grade paint that has a lot of fluidity in it, so I do not do anything to keep it wet... it stays that way on it's own. If you are working with a heavier bodied paint that tends to dry out quicker, you can either add a liquid medium, or extender, to it to keep it moist, or you could work with a wet pallet. You can buy the stay-wet pallet, or you can make your own with a flat tupperware container that has a lid. Place several pieces of paper towel in the bottom of the container, then add water into the container to moisten the paper towels, then put a layer of parchment paper on top of the paper towel. The parchment paper acts as the non-stick surface that you can put your paint on and work from. The moist towels underneath will keep your paint moist. I hope this helps. Have fun painting! ~Michelle
@@michellethepainter. Dear Michelle thank you so much for your very kind attention , collaboration and big help ! Have a very nice future , cheers Antonietta
I'm anxious to try this one! I just finished the Sunrise beach bike tutorial and I think this will be a nice one to complement it! I like to see which ones you come up with next. It's nice that you have new paintings every few days! Thank you!
@@michellethepainter. I'm not far from Orlando... who doesn't love Key West right. One thing for sure Florida has amazing sunsets. Painting & sipping in Key West sounds like a blast!
Painting this now😀 just so you know I love ❤️ reading your descriptions. Your descriptions are so vivid, not only seeing the painting, but reading about the experience makes me want to be there. I can tell we both have been at the beach many times. Love RI and Cape Cod beaches and the crashing waves.
Thanks so much! I have fun writing the descriptions, they add to the entire experience. Yes, the beach has always invoked a sense of calm in me when I'm near it. Can't wait to see your results! Have fun painting, M
Hope your feeling so much better!! I’m gonna have to do this one!!! Hopefully it comes out as good as yours because I’m a member of a Parrotheads club and next month is our big fund raiser for Alzheimer’s!! I’d put it in our Silent Action with a basket of beach things like towels, a bottle of wine, a couple of wine glasses, snacks, and other things a couple would need to relax at the beach!! I live in Florida so we have a lot of beach to relax on!!! Lol!!🎨❤️🦜🦩
Good idea! I'm sure the a lucky member of the club will love the gift! Just remember to have fun and enjoy the process and I'm sure it will come out great!

Hi Melinda, The canvasses that I use for the videos are pre-primed and already stretched, which means that they are attached to the wood frame behind the canvas and that the canvas surface is prepped with a primer and ready to accept the paint. Most canvasses that you buy from the store these days come that way, but if you are working on raw canvas, than you will want to put a primer on it called gesso. You don't need to work with the canvas stretched onto the bars, but I like to, so I make sure that I mention it. I hope this answers your questions. Have fun painting! ~Michelle
