Thats why I got mine, along with the big capacity. Chris funk put 525lbs into it and felt he coudl go more. I wanted something between my bite and my bigrig when I didnt need the maxed cargo capacity of the bigrig

Great video as always. I picked up my coosa x last week in large part due to your inputs. I'm just trying to get it on the water before I take it back to tennessee for TSRA's rendezvous event.

How does this paddle upstream compared to a crescent? This seems more stable than a shoalie, but is it slower paddling. Would you pick this over a light tackle 2?

Hello, I enjoy your channel. I saw that you have tested the Jackson Yupik and Coosa X. I want to paddle with my 80# Lab. I know the Yupik would work great. Wondering how you think the Coosa X would do. I can get a good deal on one. Mainly going to be in small to medium lakes. I know the Coosa is overkill for the fishing part. Just wondering how it would paddle in my application. Maybe a river here and there. There looks to be enough room in the Coosa X . Thanks and take it easy . Scott

@MAGAScott Both are good kayaks and can handle your dog nicely. Since you will be mostly on flat water and lakes, the YuPik is easily the better kayak for your application, IMO. The Coosa X is a river runner.

@@tgcanoesandkayaks Thanks I appreciate your opinion. I will look for a Yupik and maybe look at the bonafide skf117. I was intrigued when I saw it.

Would a paddling/stability review of the Jackson Coosa FD sound similar to this review? Thank you.

The FD and X are similarly stable. The X has a full hull and paddles better. Motored and pedaled kayaks have hulls that accommodate propellers and fins needing cavities on the bottom to do that. A paddle kayak, other than a transducer area, has a full hull allowing it to pass over the water easier when paddled.

Can this kayak do good in saltwater

It is not ideal for the coast. the bulbus rockered front end will catch wind.
