- Welcome to my August garden tour of my front yard, full sun gardens!! Full sun flowerbeds are the obvious choice for a gardener whose landscaping lacks shade. My Carolina Garden tour takes you through my full sun perennial gardens where you can see what is thriving even in this awful heat, and hopefully, can spark some inspiration for you in your gardens.
My Carolina Garden is located in coastal North Carolina, in growing zone 8A. I will show you my Canna Lilies, Coneflowers, Blanket Flowers, Hardy Banana Trees and other heat loving plants!
For more on gardening in North Carolina, and seeing how my landscape blossoms and expands, stick with me!
Thanks so much, Nicole

Nasturtium is great! Keep it
Mine isn't the pretty flowing plant. I wish it was instead of the weed!
You apologizing to your dianthus at 17:13 was the best part. XD
🤣🤣🤣❤️
Lovely garden tour !!
Thank you!!! 😁
Very beautiful garden
Thank you! 😊
Gorgeous landscape! Such an inspiration!!! From Texas zone 8B
Thank you so much, I really appreciate this! Great to hear from you in Texas 😊
Very beautiful garden and display with stones. I imagine some perennial delphinium would look very nice in your garden. 💚
Awesome, I have added Delphinium to my list of "must-haves" 😁 Plus I could really use some more blues and purples, so that's a great suggestion! And thanks for your kind words 😊
Hi Nicol. I’m also in SE NC and so happy I found your channel. You give me inspiration for my 8A garden and I look forward to learning more from you.
Hi! This is awesome. Thank you so much for this message! 😊
Nichol your gardens are so beautiful. The variety of colors , textures & the added rock placement just looks magnificent
Thank you so much for this sweet comment!! I really appreciate it!!😄
I love elephant ears. I collect elephant ears.
That's awesome! (Sorry, not sure how I missed this comment before!)
I hate crêpe myrtles. They get out of control so fast. I inherited 3 and I hate them! 😂
Love it! I’m also in SE NC. How do you keep sedges out of your beds? I pull and pull and they just come back with a vengeance. Currently growing up through my creeping phlox and so unsightly.
Oh man, what a pain!! I honestly also just pull them out, but I of course try to get the roots out as well. I hate to hear them messing with your creeping phlox :( It would seem all there is to do is dig them up and try to untangle the roots, and replant your phlox. I have to do that with my dollar weed ☹
I hate liriopes, no more for me.
