    50:21 Well, with my Böker Plus Urban Trapper Backlock version I just reverse grip the knife onehanded, and then I can press the lower backlock easily with my thumb, and a light squeeze of my palm disengages the blade from the lock, so then I can just flick it closed. Or reverse grip it onehanded and use your leg or something else to close the blade. Quite an easy solution, since I prefer longer backlocks, as I think they add more stability to the backlock.

    I don't undestand why the knives companies, didn't make sole right handed limites and lefties knifes !! I don't like the ambidextrians one because of the handle hole !! That shouldn't be difficult or expensive to do that !! ...

    And why not all the differents OTF ones ..! There are a lot of them. A lot of brands. Dagger, Golgoth and more ... ^^

    27:34 That's what we call a spear point blade, which is a dagger blade with only one side sharpened.
    (Unlike, for example, the classification of the CRKT M16-03BS (which I own and cherish!), which is advertised as a spear point, but is a drop point with a big ole swedge (or as we call it in Germany, a ricasso / false edge).) Grrr! lol

    13:50. I thought Vanax was slightly better in corrosion resistance and edge retention than LC200N

    The dragonfly is a knockoff of a Roberto Ottonello gravity knive! Hi is an Italian knive maker. He also makes the thinnist slipjoints i know.

    I simply screwed the clip from the Böker Magnum blue Jay onto the Civivi Vision fg. Visually, in terms of feel and in everyday life, it fits perfectly. 😅🤷‍♂️👍

    Nice idea and video. Just one thing: I would never rate S30V higher than S35VN, it’s the opposite rather.

    • @jusme8060
      @jusme8060 6 місяців тому +2

      Depends what you're going for. In reality, nobodys telling any difference. 🤫

    • @Bearzebubb
      @Bearzebubb 6 місяців тому +1

      Spyderco has s30v figured out because it used to be chippy and I would venture to guess he has based his opinion on their heat treatment. You can certainly tell the difference between the two when sharpening, S30v seems to hold a working edge longer than s35vn in my experience.

    • @NeevesKnives
      @NeevesKnives  6 місяців тому +3

      It's higher as far as edge retention and s35 is tougher, I personally prefer s30v myself but that is what I was referring to since we are talking pocket knives

    • @cintage
      @cintage 6 місяців тому

      I readily sacrifice a little edge holding for better toughness and sharpenability. Stropping and resharpening US easy, chips are a nuisance.

    • @NeevesKnives
      @NeevesKnives  6 місяців тому +3

      @@cintage well chips dont usually tend to come from just toughness thats edge geometry mostly, but yeah everyones gonna have there preferences i still love s35 , i think s30v takes and holds better fine edges and stropping and honing back a bit better but both are good steels and everyone is going to have the stuff that works for them for there desires
