Hi Jules! You’re not alone with being spooked at night and hating fireworks. I felt the same way and I barely got sleep that whole week 😢 I’m living alone for the first time in my 20s so it’s been a huge area of growth & empowerment to be self sufficient and feeling safe in my own home.
For dogs: first playtime, then feeding time (you don’t want to face your dogs with torsion problems 🙏🏻)

Giggling about the spooking yourself cuz I've def done that before 😂 also really feel you on feeling hyper aroused by the fireworks! I lived next to a loud ass night club for over a year and it was such a nightmare my nervous system was completely frazzled the whole time 😩
I’m the same way when I’m home alone at night (which is rare). I laughed out loud because I literally think the same thoughts!

Fireworks are a big "tradition" here in the Netherlands for New Year's. Some literally have the firepower of bombs. It can honestly be terrifying sometimes.
