    I haven't gone to school I used to cut hair for blind bags back in the day and that's kind of how I learned

    That’s actually some of the best advice I’ve heard for learning to use a straight edge. “Grab a ballon and some shaving cream”. I fuck with it.

    Respectfully don’t understand why it makes the most sense to use an adjustable clipper as a balding clipper (cordless at that)....and the other for fades. I guess I get it though, detachables, but I have to grab a pair of those cordless W’s to see....ballon and shaving cream...💎💰 thank u for that....

    What's a good beginner or mid not necessarily Advanced that way I can do the edge up and I can also do parts which most people say the part down the middle no partment designs back in the 90s

    Man that a great setup! I can twll you put time and money into your craft. Now you just need some bulk clippers. Bulk clippers keep you from working your magic clips so hard!

      I can buy a decent pair of bulk clippers if i must.
      Any advice would be appreciated. thanks

    How long you have to learn to become a Barber?

    • @BestBarberAlive

      It varies by state but I'd say it's a bit over 1000 hours in most. About 9-12 months on average. But you never really stop learning.

    Is.a balding clipper necessary? Or can a trimmer also do the work of a balding clipper?!.

      A great primary fade clipper is the wahl senior or the andis master. I'm not a loyalist to any company, they both cut well, you just have to learn each one.

    • @ricardowilliams0409
      @ricardowilliams0409 6 років тому +1

      shansshapes I personally like the Andis Masters. But, when it comes to straighter hair, I tend to use my Seniors. They just seem to not bog down as much even if the hair is wet or has leftover product in it. Check online locally (CL, FB, LetGo, OfferUp, etc.) for possible sales on used clippers from other barbers or stylists.

    Thanks man!
    Appreciate any help!!

    Should have went with wahl 5 star for the shaver. My hit harder than all my barber friends. Effortless than Andis. Jus sayn. Also we don't charge extra for lineups around forehead ,sideburns and beard, ear, nose, eyebrows and adding beard oil and gel including styling hair. We ain't trying to be ethnic. Seriously. And we all know that's the truth. Don't front. We only charge 20$ for it all. We don't care about being rich. We care about making people happy and enjoying our workmanship. You young kids wanna be rich and it's sad because you also ruin the craft. We do plenty of cuts a day averaging 500$ for a days work. You claim to be the best barber alive but look at what I just described including in our haircuts for 20$. Might wanna rethink claiming being the best barber alive.

      I had the wahl shavers for years until they died. Then tried the andis. The andis are better imo but to each his own. Appreciate ya.

      Yup!

    • @BestBarberAlive
      @BestBarberAlive  5 років тому +13

      I see you went back and edited your original post so let me comment on that... #1 When you mention young kids, your not referring to me because I've been cutting since you were a boy! (20 years exactly) so put some respect on my name. #2 You can charge whatever you want, that's up to you (my time alone is worth more than $20), but you sound dumb saying you don't care about being rich. Is money the motivation? For some yes for some no but a better way of life for your family should be motivation enough to make as much as you can in order to provide for them well after your gone. Your "workmanship" doesn't ensure your families future if it's solely based on your efforts & love of the craft so miss me with that. I love making people happy and feel great about themselves but you know who I also love making happy? My wife and kids and I do that with the income I earn from charging what I'm worth and giving my clients every penny's worth. #3 If you knew ANYTHING about Best Barber Alive you'd know that it's A BRAND that focuses on giving barbers the confidence to and skills to be the best barber THEY CAN BE! Believing you are the best at what YOU DO. not knocking anyone else at what they do. DO your research before coming at a king.
