Why are some of these regular ass haircuts more than others?! Hey more power to you for charging these prices but 80-150$ plus for a cut that will grow back in a week is ludacris. $50 is tops IMO, unless it’s after hours or a house call then it’s $100 plus.

I think a lot of people fail to realize you’re not JUST paying for the cut. You’re paying for the service, the environment, the skill level, etc.
There’s a sweet spot.
Anything that gets inflated too much eventually bursts.
TBH I wish more barbers had like “Dollar a Minute” type program with like a 12-15 dollar minimum.
Meaning if you able to get a basic cut within 10 mins, with bare minimum convo, I’d be more than happy to pay 15 plus tip.
Now if I wanted a whole as experience with a perfect fade, crisp lineup, etc I’ll be wanting and happy to pay that premium.
Old school and current cats don’t really have that rn.

Service is about it that your paying for environment, and skill lvl is just bs, im not paying 90 for a simple cut thats gonna last for like a week when i can go to another barber and get the same cut for 10

Great video just wish broke down each cut. For instance say your cuts are $75 but this client got enhancements so the price went up. This client was after hours so that was his price. I’ve been making 70-80 a cut for the last 10 years because of this. And you are correct IIII , I have lost some clients…but this works for me! And my new clients.
I remember feeling like I had to get cuts done in 30 mins…that sucked!!!! It’s all about the “details” and “experience “ because my name is on it!

My friend, it is not about the price we pay. I sit at my barber and enjoy the service. Weekly clients talk, sometimes a drink, and a good feeling haircut and beard shave or clean. Its like talking to your psycholog and getting a massage at the same time😎

Keep grinding! I’m using your tips to improve my game. All I cut is my kids hair, but they are looking fresh more often and saving me a trip to a subpar place that is local.
I really don't know how the prices are handled there, that is, who determines the prices, but you should have been more specific as to the total if they were net payments or if the tips were already included.
I say this because you "charged" different prices for the different tapers you made with a very big price difference and I saw them as the same that could be charged the same.

Your channel showed up in my UA-cam feed and I started watching it. I have never watched a barber's channel before, but I love watching you cut hair. You explain all the blades you use and techniques. Your work is very detailed and you take your time and you are not rushed. $75.00 is not bad for a haircut. Women have been paying that for years at a hair salon!! The cut is the most important thing. You have to cut the hair the way it falls. I love watching the transformations of wild and out of control hair to a fresh clean cut and style. I saw the video where you cut the homeless man's hair and it was awesome. He was so happy. Save your money and invest in an IRA for your retirement.

I start cutting my own hair a year ago because my barber raised his price to $40 plus a tip. Now I feel like I do a better job then my barber, and I cut my son’s hair. So, yes you will lose customers if you raise prices too fast and without reason.

Again, fire cuts however that first 165er that was like a 65 dollar taper lol the last one at least left happy so I think henpaid for the experience... Yeah, some people are very generous tippers. The guy who cuts my hair said he received a $200 tip from a customer before. And that was JUST the tip. It's insane how much money you can make as a barber if you're good at what you do and have a good personality to go with it.

i wish people would realize that no one is forcing you to pay more than you wanna pay for a haircut. the people who pay the price are the people who appreciate a good quality SERVICE , not just the finished product. There’s a reason people be so scared to try a new barber, cause not everyone out here is as official as this.

i am 14 years old and i started to learn how to become a barber first i got to a shop a barber shop and i told the chef what i wanted to be and he said you can come to learn to me and i watch every cut he does and now i made 4 months and i am kinda making a fade 😅 i am still learning i just need to cut more hair to learn more
