I remember playing this for the first time I was about 10. my father took me and a friend to a seaside day trip and the ice-cream shop/cafe had this set up in the corner. it was incredible.
3:25 Roy Adams: "Tell me, where is the concentration camp?" Enemy: "It's located between the ammunitions' storage and the airport!! But you need to pass through the village first!!"

An all-time classic arcade game. I played this game a lot on the Commodore 64 and Amiga, and i still have it on my PlayStation 2 (TAITO LEGENDS). SPLENDID! YOU ARE A REAL PRO. 😺👍
Colin Porch did a superb job on the C64 version - I owned the version that came with the C64 lightgun! Amiga version looked amazing, although the collision detection is a little sketchy...
I still remember when I saw that Arcade for the first time !! 🤩 ... A sun machine gun bolted to an arcade !! 😬 ... How long and how many coins !! ... This channel is one of my favorites on UA-cam !!! 👏
My favorite arcade shooter from the Golden age of arcades, I used to have the original cabinet now I just have the NES version and the arcade version on PS2 Taito Legends
Definite props for playing the much harder later revision of the game. I remember indulging in this one myself with a bunch of guys on freeplay at the PCW show in 1988 (I was there as part of a god-awful US Gold C64 competition I'd rather not talk about) on the maximum level of difficulty, and none of us, not even me, could clear that hellish last stage. (>_
I know coin-ops are supposed to get you pumping in more coins, but I've noticed the average difficulty of the lightgun/on-rail shooters I've played recently are far tougher than other genres. Operation Thunderbolt goes completely off the deep end in this regard, the main reason I have zero fondness for it.
I don't recall the original c64 version and later 286/386/486 pc version have girls running around. The ported to pc version wasn't better than c64 with dowgraded audio & graphics
Not an idle boast! I almost won that contest with little or no practice (went through the first round without even playing the game beforehand). Yes, I used to be quite the player back in my day - I still would be if it weren't for the M.E., but even then, I can still kick arse with the best of them when it comes to my favourite genres, as you can plainly see from my channel. (=^_^=)
If I were the player here I won't waste my bullets on those 10-wheeler trucks passing by🚛🚛🚛Why? It's not included on the enemies list. Your mission here is to eliminate the enemies for good and rescue the hostages🪖🪖🪖
Wow! I remember seeling the arcade version at a Pizza Hut in Silver Lane, and I also remember my brothers playing the NES version when we were kids. Brings back memories! :)
Sadly, I don't think Op Wolf would be possible since it requires a CRT, unless they used something like a Sinden light gun. Op Thunderbolt might be possible because I don't think it's actually a true light gun, more like some sort of positional controller? They've just released a T2 Arcade cab with 2 guns, so should be possible?
1: DAMN 9mm rounds that can take out armored APCs, GOD I love the 80's! . 2: What the heck were bikini clad beach bunnies doing in a third world war zone? "Worst vacation EVAR, Becky!"
Used to played this in the arcades and lasted 2 stages for a quarter. Was some kind of cheat used on the play? Don't remember so many ammo and rockets in the beginning?
Where are the other 3 game over screens 1.(Losing all damage without bulletts ans rockets left) 2.(Fail to save the hostages in the last stage) 3.(Fail to save the hostages in the fifth stage)
You think this is 4K it’s an old arcade game either your playing the game on an arcade machine or mame 32 that has no 4K this game wasn’t released to any consoles except for the Nintendo 8 bit graphics please don’t call this 4K you want 4K you go and play Xbox series X and PS5 games that are 4K
Someone else who doesn't understand the difference between recorded at versus played at... I get it sometimes with my videos (heh, I think I'm more than aware that H.E.R.O. on the Atari Console didn't display at 4K for example - I mean, I was there back in 1984 beating it on a bona fide CRT television with a pretty crappy aerial port connector). Obviously the original doesn't play at that res, but recording it at a higher one does result in UA-cam using a much higher quality codec, hence giving a better quality video overall, which is precisely why we do it, you see. (=^_^=) Also, the PC is superior to any console, so please don't go quoting them like they are the end all be all of gaming because they really aren't. Speaking for myself, I've been using 4K for something like 8 years now, long before the PS4 Pro or any equivalent cheap, mid-range PC... sorry, X-Box came out. Indeed, I had one of the very first 4K monitors, the Dell Ultrasharp UP3214Q, back when it was still nigh on impossible to display that res without using split-screen DisplayPort technology. (^w^)
Games were rock solid back then.
I remember playing this for the first time I was about 10. my father took me and a friend to a seaside day trip and the ice-cream shop/cafe had this set up in the corner. it was incredible.

Amiga (port) version wasn’t worth playing as it
is an incompetent, lazy, rushed, Atari ST remake

@@AL82RetrogamingLongplays I never used the Lightgun on the Commodore 64 nor Amiga. Was it as good as the NES Lightgun?
I had the Magnum Light Phaser (C64 pack) - it was OK from what I remember: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnum_Light_Phaser

fun to see one man take on an entire army!
American army man can do this only in video games & movies

Just an average guy in his pajamas, desperately looking for a cop of coffee 👍😅☕
Oh my God! This game... Is in my heart

Operation Wolf is legendary action game with a vengeance
With ABSOLUTELY AWESOME graphics and STUNNINGLY AMAZING gameplay
Taito’s answer to Rambo.

Am I the only one that remembers this on PC? This game on floppy disc was OG.
I remember this one pretty well, never got too far though, I was only 4 or 5.
First game i saw in the arcades. Never lasted long as i kept dying early on

My favorite game from Taito
Damn your good . I used to watch my dad play this when was little back in the 80s . The never got to far

We need this and Operation Thunderbolt for Arcade1Up

@@AL82RetrogamingLongplays I mean, they somehow did Time Crisis now.
This game totally appeals to my level of intelligence
God, i remembered the time i played SPACE GUN in the arcade :(
An excellent arcade game that reminds me of my youth, I still play it thanks to an emulator

Lmfao, this is Fyre Island the game bro!
Gosh. I remember this.
The amiga port completely blew away my teen self. It was such a huge step up from the 8bits computers. It really did the arcade version justice.
I got this included in Taito Legends for the PlayStation 2, Released by SEGA in the U.S. and by Empire Interactive in Europe.
I'd buy a home cabinet of this. Maybe someday it will come out.
Pu""un je me rappelle cet excellent jeux !! Toute mon enfance sur les bornes d'arcade !!

nice work

epic

Lol excellent upload I remember this and Operation Thunderbolt both brilliant games
It was my first game but on PC. It was at 1990-1992.
they should make a arcade 1up of this game
i don't know how many ways i tried separating the uzi from the arcade cabinet so i could take it home
lol the uhrahhh they make when getting shot

Settings set on easy
Wait, how do you use the grenades if ya duck tape them to your leg?
Duct.
what version of the game is this? Never, I had never seen the 3:10 thing neither in the arcades nor emulated
almost 40 years later and Im just surprised as you...
Japanese Version Is Better than International because allows to select the level you want

Perfect
yep 9mm rounds from an Uzi can explode an APC, shoot down an MD500, and sink an armored riverboat with 5 hits from 100 ft away
they can blow your lungs out
Is it illegal to shoot the pig?? Mmmmmmmm..... Ham, Bacon, Porkroast, and tons of other goodies...
