- Here's my story on how I built my dream guitar based on the iconic Veleno, which was used to record several tracks on Nirvana's In Utero. This is the guitar tone I've been absolutely obsessed with for the past 2 years and i'm excited to finally figure it out and share it with you. Hope you guys dig the vid!

This dude and Nirvana Guitars are both all about the tones- tho Nirvana guitars is also about the guitars and gear, meanwhile this dude is all about that sweet tone

Flip the K sideways so that it's symmetrical left-to-right when the guitar is held vertically. That will look better. Kurt played left-handed, so I think it would be cool if you put the left side of the K towards the top. It will read correctly for left-handed players. Since most players are right-handed, it will usually appear as a backwards K. That could be your logo. Alternatively, you could put Ks back-to-back, creating a kind of star shape. I think your last name could work for the brand name and the model could be "K". So, a Rash model K.
Maybe you could do the K forwards and backwards like a mirror since you are mirroring the guitar Kurt used.

This is the guitar which defined Nirvana's sound. Thank you Aaron for making videos on this and entertaining our little group, well not so little anymore, but really thank you for doing this. That veleno sounds unreal, absolutely crushed it with this one.
Not really. Nevermind's quad tracking is far more defining of Nirvana's sound.
@@SurfingOnBrainwaveswell considering the fact that In Utero is nirvanas best produced most unique sounding record and what kurt said best represented Nirvana, it is what defines nirvana’s sound
well for most people the Nevermind album would be their go to, but since the In Utero album was Nirvana's last studio album, and the album the band themselves were the most happiest with in terms of the production, sound and songwriting I think it's safe to say it's the guitar that defined Nirvana's sound.
Thanks Mirata! I think regardless of what "defined" nirvanas tone, the sound of this guitar is the tone I've been chasing all this time and its really only that sound that interest me
No coincidence the waterjet machine is called Kurt😂
It's a sign. But it's technically not a waterjet cutter, it's a CNC which is watercooled. Also it's only the bracket which is called Kurt, not the machine.

I almost cried when i heard heart shaped box's distorted part, it sounds EXACTLY, we're so excited Aaron, we appreciate your job a lot, thanks for making this videos. I personally like most the K, it would feel more iconic

We waited for a long time, but it was all worth it. I like the K headstock and also the second one, but prefer it without the heart. So excited to see those other revisions and looking forward to buying one of these.

The K neck design looks amazing. If you do the second design, do it without the heart, it’s more clean.

Hi Aaron, I think you don't realize that you've become a guitar God for some of us 😜 The fact that you've managed to bring us that much knowledge and now the possibility to buy your version of the Veleno and get that sound is just astounding. The sound of my bands next album is going to be so influenced by your discoveries, thank you so much.
Talking about your guitar's design, I think that I would like the shape of the one that had a heart on it but with the K. I hope I'm not getting so easily-scared but I have a three years old daughter and the shape with the spike seems so dangerous 😅

Duuuude this is rad!!! So glad to have been here throughout the whole journey because this has been FASCINATING, personally I like the heart headstock but like that’s personal bias, design wise the K looks the best, keep doing what you do Aaron, making awesome content!

I had the opportunity to thank Steve when I met him in 2019. He came to play with his band Shellac in my town so I could talk with him after the show. He's a great guy and a very nice person, so easy and down to earth. He kindly signed my In Utero vinyl cover and we took a selfie, what a great moment 😋Actually that picture ended in an article wrote by Hank Harrison in a free magazine, I have to make a video about that story!
Can't wait to see that guitar in action! I thought you guys have written "Kurt“ on the machine at first but no, haha that is cool.

Maaaaan what a project. Love what you're doing here. For the headstock: I like the second one without heart -- something more subtle perhaps like a couple lines cut into it, similar to the other aluminum neck you have.

First off oh my god that sounds insane! That's exactly what I think the PERFECT guitar tone sounds like. I quite like the heart headstock design but I wouldn't say no to the "K". Your channel is genuinely amazing. You inspired me to play guitar when I was in a really dark and terrible time in life and you making me truly love guitar and Nirvana really saved me. I even bought a squire mustang as my first guitar so I could be like you lol. Thank you for this channel, for your hard work and your poor wallet that's created a truly unreal guitar tone. you should incorporate an led option for the heart, name, or symbol on the headstock, that you could possibly turn on and off. would be so sick and fitting considering it’s a chrome aluminum guitar body and neck. an ace of spades as the symbol would also be a pretty touch to the guitar considering the meaning behind the symbol and work it took to get ahold of this build in itself regardless of any led option it would be sick to have on the headstock. cheers to this masterpiece aaron!
