Do the sprinkles make a non-slip surface? Great video. Seems the hardest part is emptying my garage! LOL

No, but you can add in a non-slip additive if you want. I decided not to use any non-slip additive and honestly the floor isn’t any more slippery than it was before.

@@_Shopfix Just thinking about when a puddle or wet spot exists. I might go with the non-slip additive. Thanks for a good video!

Would multiple clear coats make for a more durable finish? I realize most of the durability depends on surface prep and application process.

This is one those projects you're better off going with a brand that sells quality epoxies. I've seen so many of these kits peel off in a matter of months. Partly because they're poor quality from the big box stores, and more so because the very instructions they give you is setting the floor up to fail.
There aren't a lot of quality epoxies that call for acid etching and excessive power washing. Renting a surface grinder is the best option for most people. Also, a lot of the patch work in this video requires a decent period of time to get acclimated before putting epoxy over. Some slabs will just not be suitable for epoxies, as the have too much moisture coming through.
There's a lot that should be considered before going and trying to do one of these DIY kits. It's cheap to throw them on, but it's expensive to fix once they start peeling and have to be redone.

I agree, grinding the floor is the most professional way to get the job done. However I think with the correct prep work even the Rusteleum products will hold up for quite awhile. I’ll definitely give an update to explain how this garage floor in the video holds up over the years as a reference. If it fails I’ll be sure to explain that so people are aware! I appreciate the thoughtful comment, take care!

@@_Shopfix Hopefully everything last. If the clear you added was a UV stable poly base, you shouldn't have the hot tire issue, and sun damage problem which are inherent with unprotected epoxy.
If you do get peeling, just note if it's accompanied with concrete on the underside. Sometimes the bond between the epoxy and concrete is fine, but the substrate just got weak and has let loose.
Either way, I'm in for a sub! Appreciate your content.

For the amount of tools and time needed to get this job done right, does it even work out in the end to do it yourself?

How long does a project like this take? Assuming you don't add in the time to clear out the area?

Is this epoxy suitable for garage with a car? Would it wear quickly under the front wheels? It steer inplace when I exit the garage, so it needs to handle this.

Seems like lots of time, money, and effort for a garage floor that's cracked and settling and will continue to do so. You fixed the cracks as they were in the moment but they will continue to open.

Any worry about hot tire pick-up?

    • @_Shopfix

Not at this moment, it’s always a possibility but I think the steps taken will ensure long lasting adhesion of the epoxy. It’s all about how you prep the floor.
