I’m not being bias because I’m an eels fan, but the eels are not one of the worst teams. Yes people always acknowledge the fact that the eels have received the most wooden spoons, but as you said in the video 11 of the 14 wooden spoons that they received were before 1972. And to think that they have received only 3 wooden spoons within the last 50 years or so, thats quite good. Other fans believe eels are the worst team due to them receiving the most wooden spoons, which is true, but majority of those spoons were over 50 years ago and when they first joined the comp. My point is that in the modern day Nrl era eels are one of the best teams, statistically they are great side, and I’m glad that other eels fans, and even some other fans can agree. A lot of people forget that. Since 1972 club's like Souths, Newcastle, Penrith, Western Suburbs, Gold Coast have finished last more times than Parramatta. I think it's just something people who dislike the club bring up to try and silence us. Even if we won a premiership or two, people will still mention it.

Cumberland also managed just 4 tries in their only season.
